Physics Laws in Power Rangers

Well in all Sci-fi shows defy Physics, but Power Rangers do have their own rules, that breaks all rules of actual logic and I would like to shed some light on that.

Moon and Space
The moon does have Earth-like gravity and has breathable Oxygen. In the first episode "Day of the Dumpster," we see spacemen run without problems with gravity. We see Rita breathe air. We later see in "In Space," the Rangers breathing air on the moon and later in "Forever Red." Most planets have oxygen in the Power Rangers Universe. Only "In Space" showed some planets that they put on gas masks and they had no oxygen. In real life, the moon has almost no gravity and you need an oxygen tank, as far as we know now in 2010, we have yet to find substantial proof that there is a terraform planet similar to ours.

Time Travel
Time Travel was first used with second season when Tommy lost his Green Ranger powers and sent himself a message. Then in "Wild West Rangers," Kimberly goes to the wild west and effected the past, by making the first humans to have powers. In "Return of the Green Ranger," Tommy's clone came to colonial times and probably became Tommy's ancestor, it is debatable, we never find out. And of course, there is a bit more time travel in Time Force.

Accelerating the Earth's Rotation
Speaking about Time Travel, just like Superman reversed time by turning the Earth's rotation, Master Vile did the same thing and made the teenagers into kids. He reverse time, but because of the kid's ninja coins, they remembered everything but funny enough, everything remained the same and the Rangers were still in Angel Grove--at least Bulk and Skull only knew Billy.

Billy can defy any physics
Billy invents many science-bending things like body swapper machine and others things I didn't understand.

Rad Bug
Speaking of Billy's inventions, cars can fly in the Power Rangers' world. In the real world, cars are heavy and can't defy gravity.

Teleportation
I wish scientists would figure teleportation out already (because it saves a lot with fuel!) but they say that the official word on modern scientists is that they are not looking into teleporting. Anyhoo, it is a important part of the Power Rangers World.

Aliens speak English
The majority of aliens speak English in the Power Rangers world. Only in SPD, there were some that spoke other languages. This isn't really a physics thing. I'm talking mostly technology here, in the first seasons, it was technology vs. magic and later in Mystic Force, it was magic vs evil demons.

Artificial Intelligence
Since the first episode, we saw A.I. in Alpha and later with more sophisticated A.I. as the Machine Empire and Mac from Operation Overdrive and Sophie from SPD.

Breathing in Outer Space
Oh yeah I forgot! In the Power Rangers world, you can magically float in the vastness of space without the need of an oxygen tank!

Aquitar
Also, we have yet to see a planet that is made completely of water.

Power Ranger Girls: Catherine Sutherland

35 year-old Australian Actress, joined the cast of Power Rangers in season three and played Katherine Hillard until Power Rangers Turbo.

She played the Pink Ranger for two seasons and a half, she was only the Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger for about 8 episodes. She originally auditioned for Dulcea in the first movie but producers thought she was too young.

When a replacement was needed for Amy Jo Johnson, producers remembered Sutherland and hired her.

She voiced the Machine Empire General Tezzla (white Astral Borg) in the Power Rangers: Wild Force episode "Forever Red".

She played the victim of a serial killer in the 2000 film The Cell. In the theatrical cut she appeared as only a dead body, although her character's death appears as a deleted scene on the DVD. I didn't want to post pictures of it here, if you want, check it out on images.google.com.

She is married to actor Daniel Chilson and has two children, one girl and one boy.

Power Ranger Boy: Russell Lawrence

32 year-old actor, played Mike Corbett/Magna Defender in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.

Played Matt Clark aka. Carter Mills in The Young and the Restless.

He also guested on "One World."

He was born in Miami, Florida. Yes, I know the Magna Defender isn't technically a Power Ranger!!!

He played Sid in "Card Sharks" and produced it too.

Americanized Sailor Moon pilot mistakenly called 'Saban Moon'

Animefringe interviewed Rocky Solotoff in 2000, check out the interview here.

What is still called by Sailor Moon fans as 'Saban Moon,' which spawned a fanfiction that was the Power Rangers vs. Sailor Moon, was not actually spearheaded by Haim Saban. When Sailor Moon was up for bids by Toei to be produced in North America, Renaissance-Atlantic Entertainment, worked closely with Bandai and Toon Makers, Inc., conceptualized their own version of the property, which was half live-action and half 'Americanized' animation (which was made by Koreans, Americans and yes, some Japanese). The pilot was made in late 1993 by Toon Makers. Two minutes of the pilot presentation was leaked at a convention and went online, stirring fans to believe it was by Haim Saban, they hated it and called it 'Saban Moon.'

The full pilot still hasn't seen the light of day. Rocky Solotoff says he has the info on the characters some where but can't find it, there was Tuxedo Mask, Queen Beryl and Moon's queen mom. Toei gave the okay to DiC to use the original Anime, so they didn't give the rights to this production, because they didn't want to compete with themselves. So if anyone wants to blame anyone, they can aim to Bandai, who did spearhead this. Rock Solotoff did wish the animation was better but they had a limited budget. The team had different colors than the original Sailor Senshi and were of other ethnicities, one girl being paraplegic, one being Asian (I guess), Black and a Red-head (apparently being a ginger is an ethnicity).

I must also clarify that the reason people thought it was Saban was because he was tied to Renaissance-Atlantic Entertainment at one point, distribution or something, something second-hand.

Lee Lee's Saban Moon page, it really wasn't by Saban!
Download the video of the 2 minute musical clip

Two interesting leftovers from the project was vehicles that didn't appear in the original Anime, being the Moon Cycle (seen above), which was made by Bandai America as a toy for the 1995 Sailor Moon toy line. The second being the logo that appears at the end of the 2 minute music video, it is still the same Official North American Sailor Moon Logo (also seen above).

Fans campaign for Stephen Lunsford to be the next Spider-Man

I don't think it's official yet but JustJared has put Stephen Lunsford (Kamen Rider Dragon Knight) in the running to be the lead in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.
