Now in 2012 that Saban Brands has bought back Power Rangers and it is airing on Nickelodeon and more people are watching. (I am not saying that Saban bought it in 2012, they bought it in 2010) I have been receiving a lot of e-mails from lots of parents out there and decided to make this list of F.A.Q. for them and others who might have questions. These answers are subject to change.

Where do I get Power Rangers Samurai on DVD in the US?

As of January 2012, there is no news yet on any new Power Rangers DVDs. As of now, Power Rangers Samurai is not available on DVD. But you can find Power Rangers Samurai first season and the TV Movie "Clash of the Red Rangers" on Netflix. Saban Brands official word is 'Coming Soon.'

Where do I get Power Rangers ______ on DVD? Any Box Sets?

As of January 2012, there is no news yet on any new Power Rangers DVDs. All 17 seasons of Power Rangers including Samurai are available on Netflix, including the two movies. Old Power Rangers DVDs from Disney are still available on Amazon, Walmart.com and eBay like SPD, Operation Overdrive and RPM. Saban Brands official word is 'Coming Soon.'

Which seasons of Power Rangers are available on Netflix?

All of them, from Mighty Morphin to Samurai; 720 episodes and two movies. Also other Saban series such as Big Bad Beetleborgs, VR Troopers and Ninja Turtles: Next Mutation.

Can my child meet the Power Rangers at Disney World or any other theme park?

As of January 2012, no. Power Rangers were at Disney World's Hollywood Studios from 2005 to 2010, but no longer. As of now, there is no news on them being at any park. But word is that they might be in the future.

Is the Bull Megazord or Bullzooka available in stores?

As of January 2012, there has been sightings for the Bull Megazord, Black Box, Shark Zord, and the Super Red, Blue and Green. Coming soon are the Bullzooka, Scorpion Zord, Spider Zord and other toys.

Where do I buy Power Rangers Samurai toys?

Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Target and Kmart.com (even though not all K-Mart stores carry them). Online you can find them on Toywiz.com and Amazon.com.

When do new episodes air?

February 18 the new season 'Power Rangers Super Samurai' airs.

What is 'Super Samurai'? It is a new cast, new season or just a new title?

A little from column 'A' and a little from column 'B.' 'Super Samurai' is considered the second season of 'Power Rangers Samurai' and Saban Brands consider it the '20th season.' It is the same cast as Samurai and continues the story. This season is said to end by the end of the year and by 2013 we will have a new cast, series title, theme and so on.

What seasons air on NickToons?

As of January 2012, the seasons Samurai (2011), Dino Thunder (2004), and Jungle Fury (2008) air on Nicktoons. No word yet what season will be next but according to Saban Brands and Nickelodeon, other seasons will air eventually.

What Samurai merchandise or food products are available now?

January 2012: Boys T-Shirts at Target and Walmart, books and sticker books at Toys R Us and Walmart, Red Samurai Book bag at some stores, Rangers Mac & Cheese, Rangers and Juice boxes.

Korean Power Rangers Online game uses Goseiger suits for Press Conference

I don't like re-posting posts from other sites when it has already been 'reported' but I do this in fear of getting a bunch of comments and e-mails on if I'm gonna cover it like I did for the Gokaiger Wii Game and other miscellaneous stuff. Just because I post it, doesn't mean I like it.

Kamen Rider Decade fights Red Buster and Gokai Red fights Kamen Rider Fourze.

I have no picture but it is said that Goushi (Mammoth Ranger of Zyuranger) will return. It is said to be in the March edition of Hyper Hobby magazine. It is also confirmed, allegedly, that AkaRanger will appear too. I think that most likely this will occur in the last episode 51. I also heard old alumnis we already saw were coming back but we'll see. We have to wait and see.

Planets in the Power Rangers Universe

I wanted to do this post for a while, I thought it would be fun to make a list of all the important (more or less) planets in the Power Rangers universe. There are many minor planets mentioned once or twice, but here are some that major or recurring characters came from.

Eltar

Eltar is Zordon's homeplanet. Upon his release from the inter-dimensional timewarp that Rita Repulsa put him in in the Turbo season, he returned to Eltar with Alpha 5. The Phantom Ranger was also said to be from Eltar by Divatox, though the Phantom is shown to reside on his own planet in "In Space". A war occured on Eltar and Zordon & Alpha 5 had built robotic clones of the 2nd team of Turbo Rangers to help in the war. Dimitria and Blue Centurion traveled to Eltar to help out. The planet was conquered by the United Alliance of Evil and Zordon was captured by the Turbo finale. The name Eltar was first mentioned in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, it is the only canon info from the movie to the show other than the Ninja Zord names. Origin of name is unknown.

Phaedos

Only appears in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie; it is home of the Great Power which Dulcea protects. Dulcea took the Rangers to the ruins of the Ninjetti Temple. The Great Power came from the Monolith. Origin of name is unknown.

Edenoi

Edenoi was the home of Dex the Masked Rider, and also the planet where King Lexian built Alpha 5. It was only referenced in the three parter in MMPR. It was exclusively mentioned in Saban's Masked Rider. Origin of name is unknown.

Aquitar

It was first seen during Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, at the end of the third season in which five Aquitians Rangers come to Earth to temporarily take the place of the incapacitated Earth Rangers. Aquitar is almost completely covered by water, however there are mountains and/or volcanoes poking up from underneath the surface. They appear to feed on pure water for the sustainment of their life force. Aquitar was seen in Zeo and In Space. An Aquitarian was briefly seen in the background of SPD. The Aquitar Rangers have appeared in MMAR, Zeo, In Space and Wild Force. 'Aqu' of 'Aquitar' most likely was 'Aqua' which in Spanish means Water.

Triforia

Triforia is a planet, home to the Trey. The planet's surface is covered by landmasses with few bodies of water. The massive planet is orbited by three moons. It was first seen and only seen in Power Rangers Zeo. The planet was referenced in Ninja Storm by Marah and Kapri. They mentioned that "The boys from Triforia are three times as cute as earth" in 'Tongue and Cheek.' 'Tri' means three, obviously leading to the name.

Liaria

It is home of Lerigot in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. It contained a jungle from which Lerigot teleported to escape Divatox's soldiers; Divatox's subcraft then flew from a body of water to follow him to Earth. In the series, Lerigot briefly returned to Earth to allow Zordon and Alpha passage to Eltar. Origin of name is unknown.

KO-35

KO-35 is the home planet of Andros, Zhane, and Karone. It is where Karone was kidnapped by Darkonda. Around the year 1996, KO-35 was invaded by a huge army, resulting in the near death of Zhane and the abandonment of the world by its people. Dark Specter had the Machine Empire attack KO-35. In SPD, there was a prison facility in KO-35's orbit and the planet looked different. Aquitar was re-used as KO-35. Origin of name is unknown.

Mirinoi

Mirinoi is where the Quasar Sabers to come from in Lost Galaxy. Furio and the Stingwingers attacked Mirinoi and Maya went through a portal and ended up in the Earth's Moon. Prior to the Terra Venture's arrival, the natives of Mirinoi lived a relatively simple lifestyle, with no apparent technology in prevalent use. After the Terra Venture left the Lost Galaxy, they inhabited Mirinoi. Mirinoi was seen again in Lightspeed Rescue and Wild Force. Origin of name is unknown.

Onyx

The Onyx Tavern is found on this planet, it is first seen in 'In Space' and later in Lost Galaxy. It was referenced in SPD (the Dino Gems somehow ended up there) and Operation Overdrive for Thrax's base. Onyx is a planet where the evil elements of the universe hang out at. Onyx is a black gemstone.

Sirius

Sirius is the home planet of Anubis Cruger and the planet to have the very first S.P.D. Its inhabitants are a race of dog-like humanoids with scaly skin. It was destroyed by Emperor Gruumm. The planet's name comes from the star, Sirius, also known as the Dog Star.

Gokaiger: the most different color changes

I wanted to find out which Gokaiger has become the most different colors. Yellow has become 10 colors, Blue became 10, Green has become 10, Pink became 9, Silver has became 9, and Red has only become 7 colors. Red has become the least colors, he has yet to become black, gold, orange, or violet. Blue and Green has the most! Some people consider Crimson and Navy the same as Red and Blue, but if they were the same color, then we would have to consider Pink as Red because Pink is a shade of Red, Crimson is a shade of Red and Navy is a shade of Blue.

Hiromu Sakurada the 20 year old, who transforms into Red Buster, has an older sister by the name of Rika Sakurada. Rika seems to be aware of Hiromu’s identity as Red Buster, and she’s against him fighting against the Vagras.

By inserting a program into their bodies, Hiromu and friends gained superhuman powers. But in exchange for these powers, they were given a secret weak point in return. When Hiromu sees a chicken, he’ll panic and his body will automatically freeze.

Ryuuji’s weakness occurs when he moves too much, which causes thermal runaway. Therefore, he needs to cool himself down constantly.

If Yoko’s energy runs out, she won’t be able to move. To make up for it, she has to eat sweet things.

The Gobuster’s also have a support team, consisting of the operator Tooru Morishita, the commander Takeshi Kuroki and the newly recruited operator Miho Nakamura. Tooru works as the informant, keeping the Gobuster team updated on the Vagras.

13 years ago, a virus managed to penetrate through the system at a research lab. The virus infected a certain program, causing Messiah to be created. The scientist, Sakurada, sent to whole building together with Messiah to a subspace, thus saving the world. That scientist was Hiromu’s father, Yousuke Sakurada. The virus program, Messiah, eventually became the leader of the Vagras. The Vagras army is now working on bringing back Messiah to earth.

A Megazord is created at the same time as when a Metaroid is created. The Megazord stays in a different subspace as it’s powering up. It’s completed when the Megazord takes in the Metaroid’s powers.

Enter is played by the actor, Shou Jinnai. Enter works as a spy for the Vagras on earth.

"Who is your favorite villain?"

My favorite villain is Trakeena, the main antagonist of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. Played by Amy Miller, Trakeena started out as a slinky, treacherous, daddy's girl who liked to sabotage her father's generals for fun.. and Power! Midway through the season, Trakeena underwent an enormous change in character, becoming a crazed warrior queen fueled by revenge. For the finale, she underwent one final change in character. At this point she's become nothing less than a bloodthirsty maniac, destroying everything in her way. I loved every second of it. Trakeena was brilliant in the finale. She'd turned into a tragic character, killing every last one of her generals and minions. Like I've said before, very epic finale and season as a whole. Overall, she's not someone you'd ever want to mess with in the Power Rangers Universe. My second favorite villain, or villainess I should say, is Tenaya of Power Rangers RPM. Awesome storyline and very B.A. character. My third favorite(s) are Marah and Kapri of Power Rangers Ninja Storm. Many fans have mixed feelings about the duo, but I'm definitely not afraid to say that I loved them and found them hilarious. Their ditsiness and shenanigans had me laughing every episode.

Honorable mentions: Villamax of Lost Galaxy, Venjix of RPM, and Mesogog of Power Rangers DinoThunder.

Power Rangers Super Samurai German Toy Catalog 2012

The UK (United Kingdom) Toy Fair 2012 occurred, not much pics from it, just this video on this site KidsCoolIt.com and here are pictures from the catalog.

They got the Sword Cycles, which we have seen in stores (I haven't heard of people spotting blue), the Spider Lantern Zord. They also have pictures of the Shark Zord and the Scorpion Zord. Scorpion Zord comes with Deker, apparently it combines with the Samurai Megazord.

It looks rather interesting but who knows if we will see it on the show. The Scorpion was not in Super Sentai.

Tigerzord vehicle at left and Gigazord at right. Gigazord is all the zords combined, I don't know if it can be taken apart or not. I mean, if it is all the zords sold in one package or just the robot all together. These are not out in America yet.

Both are these products are out in America already. The Water Bow and Mega Masks. Red, Blue and Gold.

Super Samurai figures. The three on the right, they have been out for sale in the US since December. On the left, Super Red Ranger, Super Green Ranger and Xandred are out in the US. Blue, Pink and Yellow are in Super Mega mode, I don't know when they will be out in the US. Lavender Ranger's guess is we might see these toys in May, the Summer or the Fall. The Pink and Yellow ones fans first saw on a Polish site. Super Mega Blue is the first I've seen.

Shogun Buckle and Bullzooka (everyone is excited about the bullzooka). The bullzooka can combine with the Mega Blade to become the Shogun Spear. The infamous Shogun Spear fans have been talking about. Given that the Mega Blade has been deemed by adults as dangerous, it is interesting the Mega Blade is still available in stores and having to get the Bullzooka to combine with the Shogun Spear will be more coveted by kids.

"What is your favorite Ranger color or designation?"

Here are your basic options: Red, Yellow, Black/Green, Pink/White, Blue, Sixth Ranger colors, and 'Other' Ranger colors like Orange (ex. S.P.D. Kat Ranger), Navy (ex. Ninja Storm Navy Thunder Ranger), etc. Well I choose Yellow. Yellow has been my favorite for most of my time as a fan of Power Rangers (a long time). I honestly think the source of my fondness for it comes from the androgynous vibe that descends from many Yellow Rangers, especially the ones that were male in Japan. As a child that really intrigued me for some reason. Being able to be feminine and masculine at the same time without being too feminine like most Pink Rangers. On top of that, I'm a very androgynous person myself. I chose the name 'Pat' to make my gender undistinguishable as an Internet blogger and to this day no one knows my true gender, sexuality, or identity for that matter. "Which is your favorite season of Power Rangers?"

This is probably the question that's been asked the most throughout the fandom ever since there has been more than one season! Well, it's also an extremely difficult question for me. I've thought about it a lot and I've come to solid two seasons that I can somewhat confidently call my all-time favorites. They are, *drumroll*, Lost Galaxy and RPM. Two seasons that had me totally hooked from episode one all the way to the finale. Speaking of which, Lost Galaxy and RPM had two of the most epic finales in the franchise, in my opinion, giving Countdown to Destruction a run for its money...

Honorable mentions: Mighty Morphin (season 1), in Space, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Ninja Storm.

Most Used Ranger Keys and Gokai Changes

Gokaigers seem to change into past heroes one to five times per episode so far. The least being one (Red, Pink and Green became JAKQ in Ep 10) and the most five I think the most (Luka became a bunch in episode 6). But there are plenty of other examples but this is just one example. Most episodes the Gokaiger become more than one team but in some episodes, they just become one team and the other Gokaiger become one of different teams (Green and Yellow have done a lot of this).

As of Episode 48, the past heroes that the Gokaiger have changed into a lot are:

Gokai Green has become Deka Green six times (2, 4, 5, 26, 35 and the Ghost Galleon movie). It previously was Shinken Green that he became the most.

Gokai Pink has also become a Dekaranger the most. She became Deka Pink six times (2, 4, 5, 26, 35 and the movie). She became Go-On Black the most (5 times: 3, 5, 19, 36 and the 199 heroes movie).

Gokai Red has become Deka Red six times: 2, 4, 5, 35, the movie and 48.

Gokai Yellow has also become Deka Yellow the most, six times: 2, 4, 5, movie, and 35.

Gokai Blue has become Go-On Blue five times (5, 19, 36, 45, and the Gokai vs Gosei movie).

Gokai Silver has became Gold Mode more than anything but of the other Ranger Keys, he has become Shurikenger 4 times (21, 24, 43, 47).

As for the Ranger Keys, these are the keys that have been used the most:

Deka Red Key has been used six times by GokaiRed, once (but seen twice) by GokaiGreen (Goseiger Vs. Shinkenger and Ep40), and stageshows by GokaiYellow. Magi Red Key has been used by Gokai Red twice, Gokai Green in stageshows, by GokaiYellow in Episode 2 and stageshows; and by Gokai Pink in Episode 48 and 40 (Goseiger vs. Shinkenger). Magi Red Key is one of the keys that has been used by the most Gokaiger: 4. Geki Red Key has been used 4 times by GokaiRed (4, 7, 32 and 42); used by Gokai Yellow in 40 and by GokaiPink in 2. Go-On Red Key was used 4 times by GokaiRed and by GokaiYellow in stageshows. Shinken Red Key used 5 times by GokaiRed, and by GokaiYellow and GokaiPink in the stageshows.

As for the Sixth Ranger Keys, the Mega Silver key has been used seven times, seen in two episodes used by Basco; 3 times by GokaiSilver and twice by GokaiYellow. Gokai Pink used the Deka Pink Key six times. The Pink Keys haven't been used a lot by other Gokaigers like the Red or Sixth Keys, the only keys that have been used by two people have been Bouken Pink, Pink Flash, Ptera Ranger, Dyna Pink and Five Pink. Gokai Blue has become Go-On Blue five times. The blue keys also haven't been used alot. The keys that have been used by two people were Ao Ranger, Magi Blue, Blue Dolphin, Gosei Blue and Hurricane Blue (by the original owner!) As for the Extra Hero keys, all the keys have been used three times. I haven't seen Gokaiger vs. Gavan yet, so I don't know if the Hime Shinken Red key is used so she might be the key used the least. Kuro Kishi Key has been used once by Basco, Gokai Silver used it once in his mecha and twice transformed into him, so it can be said it was used the most.

Deka Green key has been used 6 times by Gokai Green and the keys used by 2 people have been Shinken Green, Shishi Ranger, Dyna Green, and Green Flash. Shishi Ranger key has been used 6 times (5 by Green and once by Yellow). The Hurricane Yellow has been used six times by three different people, 4 times by Yellow, once by Green and once by the original user. Keys that have been used by 2 people are Gosei Yellow, Gao Yellow, Kirin Ranger, and Tiger Ranger. Go-On Black key is the black key that has been used the most by 1 gokaiger: 5 times by Pink. The black key to be used the most by 2 people is Ninja Black (4 times by Green and once by Yellow); another is Abare Black (once by Blue and once by Green). As for White keys, Deka Break and Kiba Ranger have been used 5 times (twice by Basco, twice by Gokai Silver and once by another Ranger.)

Here is a quick summary:

Basco sends two of his monsters versus the Gokaigers' mecha. They defeat them, but the Gokaiger witness Basco shoot down Sally. Marvelous feels sorry for Sally and takes her in, they are nice to her and bandage her. She is thankful for this. The original plan was for her to take the treasure chest. She takes it but the Gokaiger were expecting this and had it empty. She has a change of heart, Marvelous goes near her and Basco reveals he had a bomb strapped on Sally and blows her up, harming Marvelous. The other Gokaiger fight him as Dairanger, Hurricanger and Gingaman, they lose, he takes the Ranger Keys. They are all unconscious. It starts raining as he takes over GokaiGalleon.

Episode 48:

Next week he makes clones of the six Gokaiger to fight against the heroes.

Man Arrested for Uploading Gokaiger!

On January 11, police in Aichi Prefecture arrested a 26-year-old male company worker from the prefecture's Toyohashi City on suspicion of using the Share file-sharing software to upload the live-action special effects show Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger online without the permission of Toei, the copyright holder. According to the Association of Copyright for Computer Software (ACCS), the suspect uploaded the series' 26th episode around September 16, 2011. According to the police investigation, the suspect also uploaded obscene animation and drawings. The man said under deposition that he had been uploading anime for about four years because he wanted to make these titles available to people for free.

Series One mini figures, seen here are 5 Rangers and a Mooger. This are like the 2010 MMPR mini figures. My nephew has them and their head and one arms come off.

Here is a doozy and head scratcher... Pink and Yellow Mega Mode in super mode. I don't know the official name but they are when they are in super mode and become Mega. I wonder if we will be getting Super modes of the girls, since we got super mode of the boys. The site just says Pink Ranger Mia and Yellow Ranger Emily. Also look at the buckles... similar to the ones to Red Ranger in Shogun mode.

Mega Force: Advantages to adapting Goseiger or Gokaiger

I have done a lot of posts about adapting Gokaiger. Before Samurai, I discussed the pros and cons of adapting Shinkenger or Goseiger. 'Mega Force' has been copyright by Saban Brands, Samurai won't end until the end of this year--2012. In 2013, they will be adapting a new series. The logical choice would be Goseiger, as it aired after Shinkenger and Saban and Disney hadn't skipped one. 2013 is the 20th anniversary for Power Rangers. It is rumored Toei MIGHT (not will for sure---there is a difference) re-shoot the Legacy War for Power Rangers (rumored to omit Pre-Zyu teams and speculated to omit Dairanger and if they skip Goseiger, them too). Anyway, they said they might do the war for PR but didn't say for what year, the 20th anniversary could be 2014 and we don't know if the footage will be kept for 2014. But Saban Brands dude Elle Dekel said 2013 would be the 20th anniversary. If you had to choose between Goseiger or Gokaiger for the 20th anniversary, reflecting on past teams, which one would you choose?

Tensou Sentai Goseiger
The plot of Goseiger is a team of Earth-protecting Angels from a special world. But of course, in adapting it, they could make it anything they wanted. Some fans have suggested that their master Master Head could become Zordon and their robot Datas could become Alpha's successor. Gosei Knight in Goseiger is one of the 'zords,' but they can re-make it into a human. But fans say its boring and we won't be missing much. They do have the colors of the original Power Rangers. I did give some thought to the Goseiger being the ones using the Ranger Keys but there is the logic of their buckles, their zords, their cards and other factors that it wouldn't work out.

Master Head
As I said before that Master Head that can be taken and said he is a resurrected Zordon. That he is looking over the Rangers for years but has not interfered.

Datas
He looks nothing like Alpha 5. Even though fans don't think the goofy-acting child-like Datas can be transferred into Power Rangers but remember that Magiranger's mischievous Smoky became a lame Genji in Mystic Force and Go-Onger's Go-Roader GT became the lifeless Road Attack Zord in RPM. Also, the simple-minded Zuuban of Boukenger became elitist Sentinel Knight. But he could be used as a rebuilt Alpha robot.

Costume Villains
The majority of the villains are in suit, meaning they wouldn't have to hire an actor. But knowing Power Rangers, they always add one new character like Ransik, Master Org, Flurious, etc. Mystic Force didn't add a new villain but did have LeeLee.

Pirate Sentai Gokaiger

Many fans have expressed that they don't want Gokaiger skipped and some do want Gosieger skipped. There is evidence to make me believe they will be adapting Gokaiger into Mega Force or whatever, skipping Goseiger: They did casting in late fall of 2011 and the casting director they didn't settle on any and might be casting again in Spring 2012 because they are 'putting more resources' into it as it will be the Power Rangers' 20th anniversary. Saban Brands big wig Elle Dekel said 2013 would be the 20th anniversary.

Legends

Selling old toys and having exposure of old seasons might boost sales of DVD and rental of streaming on Netflix. Since in Gokaiger, the past teams have lost their power sand no longer can transform, Saban crew can pick any actor of past team, doesn't have to be red. And the past Rangers were called 'Super Legends' by Disney and Bandai a few years ago. The con would be negotiating costs to fly American or Canadian actors to New Zealand, it depends on their schedules.

Gender Changes

In Power Rangers, we can finally see females in colors we haven't seen before like Navy, Black, Green and more Reds and Silver and White. They are different twists to the suits of past Rangers and they some how make them more interesting. Having the main team become past teams definitely have a '20th anniversary' feel. Of course, this was done for the 35th anniversary of Sentai so obviously it would have an anniversary feel.

Skipping Pre-Zyuranger Teams
It seems that Toei has been sort of adjusting things for Power Rangers, now this is just a speculation, but not true. For example, the other auxiliary zords so far (Mystic Force, SPD, Wild Force, Samurai, MMPR, Time Force and Dino Thunder) and in future (Ninja Storm and RPM) were all Power Rangers-related, not one is of Sentai before 1992. Another is that with 45 episodes out of 51 episodes of Gokaiger that has aired currently, there has only been 4 tributes episodes based on pre-Zyu teams. So it would be very easy to re-shoot scenes featuring the past costumes (which have been short) and skipping 4 to 10 episodes has been done many a time for Power Rangers.

Speculation: Power Ranger Keys

Scans thanks to King Ranger of Rangerboard, modified by me, going with the idea they will skip Goseiger and Gokaiger called Mega Force. Now, all of this is speculation, by no means official. I say Gokaiger might become Mega Force because they already have the copyright and Mega Force is so generic and it is sort of 'Mega' as it is all the teams ever. But they could change it to a more appropriate 'Pirate' name.

If Goseiger is skipped, then Titanium Ranger can replace Gosei Knight on the Gold Mode armor of the sixth ranger Silver Ranger. It would be cool to reshoot the footage of the armor and have Titanium's face in place of GoseiKnight's. The key I used is a fan-made one and I think the pic I picked fits in perfectly.

I put Phantom Ranger and the Spirit Rangers on this page with the idea over Silver Ranger's gold mode and armor, these could be extra keys spread out. Drawings of the those four Rangers are thanks to Zeltrax541. I clumped the Spirit Rangers together because I didn't have good enough pics of each one to have independently like the others.

Former Ranger Castmembers Fans want for Gokaiger adaption

Toei hinted upon shooting a Legacy War for the 20th anniversary of Power Rangers (not using pre-Zyuranger), here are who fans might want most to guest-star and how they can handle skipping over the pre-Zyuranger sentai. I already did a post on this and they don't have to get these actors, but these are the ones based on the Gokaiger episodes. An error happened and what I wrote got erased.

Atsushi Hashimoto appeared as Kai Ozu/MagiRed on Episode Three of Gokaiger. Firass Dirani played Nick on Mystic Force and I don't know where he is right now, but he is from Australia so depending on his schedule, it might be available for an episode. I think fans would want him back.

Ban/Deka Red appeared in Episode 5 and we also saw Doggy Krueger and Deka Yellow. Brandon Jay McLaren (Jack--pic from The Killing) is from Canada and so are Matt Austin (Bridge) and Chris Violette (Sky) and it depends on their schedules, they can get either one of them since they are set in the future and they can get anyone from the future. I am sure fans would want Matt Austin again. Or they could just bring John Tui back as Doggie.

Jan/GekiRed appeared in Episode 7, Jason Smith is from Australia so it might be easy to get him back. Jan had a martial art training class, Casey could have the same. Fans on Rangerboard have expressed they would want R.J. (David DeLautour) back and I agree, he is charming and we could see Jungle Karma Pizza, which he owns, again.

Kaneko Noboru/GaoRed appeared in Episode 9 and they shipped Rick Medina Jr. to New Zealand to be Deker for Samurai, so I'm sure he can be around for Cole. Gao Red had become a veterinarian and I guess Cole could be too. The Gokaiger had to find Anamaria and I am sure the Power Rangers can too. Fans would want him back. If he's busy, I am sure they could get Alyssa back or someone.

Karou Shiba/Shinken Red in Episodes 11 and 12, they don't have to get the female Red Ranger (Kimberely Crossman of Samurai) and they could get Alex Heartman (Jayden) back. But fans on Rangerboard have expressed they might want Hector David Jr. (Mike) back.

Episode 14 featured Red Racer of Carranger, T.J. is in America, they would have to ship him to New Zealand. They could use Tommy but maybe for another episode. And it doesn't have to be Red, since we don't see him transform, they could easily get Justin (Blake Foster). I am sure fans would want Blake Foster for a Turbo episode. Rumors are that Saban has contacted Blake to guest on Power Rangers Samurai.

Episode 18 had Mikoto/AbareKiller appeared in a flashback along with in-suit Dragonranger and TimeFire who didn't speak. Since the counterparts White Ranger, Green Ranger and Qunatum Ranger

aren't dead, they might have to change the story. Jeffrey Parazzo (Trent--pic from Late Fragment) is from Canada, so they would have to fly him over too. They can't use the footage of Mikoto with the two in-suit Rangers, because of Mikoto and Gai but they could recreate it. They could bring Tommy (Jason David Frank) in and have White and Quantum in suits or a big get would be all three actors, two in United States (Daniel Southworth/Quantum) and one in Canada. I realize they need one of the three because of the Sixth Ranger Keys. Trent wasn't technically sixth, but the sake of this whole thing, yes.

Episode 20 had not only GingaRed but Kuro Kishi/Hyuga. Word is that Danny Salvin/Red Lost Galaxy Ranger has stopped acting, so he might not want to do it. But they could get someone else or just leave in with Mike. The Gingaman are from the Ginga Forest, the Gokaiger had to go near there, but in the PR universe, Lost Galaxy are from way distant space. The new Rangers could either travel to Mirinoi or Leo and Mike can go to them.

Hyuga was the main focus of the episode, they could get Russell Lawrence, who is American and they can have him travel from US to New Zealand.

Episode 21 had Akashi/Bouken Red, since Mac/Red from Operation Overdrive is from Australia, they could easily get him. In Gokaiger, Akashi already gave them the powers in the 199 movie but most likely they will make the episode footage about the new Rangers earning the power from Mac after defeating a reincarnated Moltor.

In Episode 23, we saw GoPink, in following tradition, they could get Dana/Lightspeed Pink. They would have to get her to travel. Go Pink is a ambulance nurse and last we saw Dana, she was a doctor so it goes hand and hand.

Episode 25 of Gokaiger features the three Hurricanger transforming, so the producers would have to get all 3 Ninja Storm actors or skip the two episodes. They all reside in New Zealand and Australia, so it might be easy to get them.

Gai/Black Condor from Jetman appears in Episode 28, Jetman was not adapted into Power Rangers---it was actually the series that aired before Zyuranger, the one that became MMPR. There would only be 4 episodes to skip (Liveman, Dairanger and Battle Fever J). Anyway, it is not uncommon for Power Ranger producers to skip Sentai episodes.

In Episode 29, we see AbareBlue and Emri a.k.a. AbarePink, but since there was no AbarePink in Power Rangers, I guess they can get Ethan, Blue Dino Ranger. Ethan's actor is North American so they would have to ship him over. Abare Blue came in to tell the Gokaiger of a power that AbareKiller didn't mention to combine both of their robots. Ethan can do the same. They might have to cut out the AbarePink stuff since it didn't exist in Dino Thunder (it existed in SPD).

In Episode 31, OhPink and OhRed appear. I don't think most fans (some do) want Tommy for Red Zeo Ranger but we never know. They could bring both Tommy and Kat. Kat currently resides in the United States but she is from Australia, so I think she would be open to go to New Zealand, depending on her schedule.

Episode 35 will have Sosuke/Go-On Red because the Mechafalcon and since they had a RPM-Samurai teamup in November 2011, they claimed the Ranger Red voice was someone else but fans are sure it is Eka Derville (above) so I am sure they can get him back.

Kenta (Mega Red) appears in episode 39 and I would like to see Christopher K. Lee (above pic from That 70's Show in 2004) in his new Megaship being sidetracked by the pirated red ship zord.

In Episode 40, Time Yellow cameos but even though I love Deborah Phillips (Katie), I think fans would like to see more Wes and Jen, their actors are still working. Jason Faunt (Wes) has expressed he loved his time as a Ranger.

An error happened and what I wrote got erased. Ninjaman appears in episode 45 and probably going to stick around until the end. The Aquitar Rangers (based on Kakuranger) were vaguely connected to Ninjor and more connected to MMPR Season 3. So maybe they can split up the powers, one ep with Ninjor bestowing the MMPR's ninja powers and another with an Aquitar Ranger bestowing their powers.

It would be great to have a MMPR tribute episode with Austin St. John.

Toei shooting footage for Power Rangers and Visa Versa

'Zyu 2'

What fans refer to 'Zyuranger 2' (pronounced as Juu-Ranger) was footage made by Toei for Saban Entertainment and it was used for Season 1 and Season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. New animal-themed monsters were made by Rainbow productions and they were also used in American footage to film with the American actors. Concepts like Green's relationship with Pink and Blue Ranger's intelligence were incorporated in the footage. Stuff that never happened in Zyuranger was putty patrollers becoming mutant rangers, Black Ranger getting the shield and the Megazord underwater.

Magiranger

Disney shot footage for the opening of Magiranger in New Zealand in 2005 back when they were shooting SPD. My inside source (which no longer in contact with) told me they shot footage for the episodes but I've seen every ep of Magiranger and nothing matches the trees or locals of New Zealand.

Gekiranger

Disney shot footage for the opening of Gekiranger in New Zealand in 2007 when they were shooting Operation Overdrive. They only shot the main three Gekiranger and they only shot for the opening theme. The reason for shooting in New Zealand might be fancy scenery that Japan doesn't have.

Power Rangers 20th Anniversary 'Legend War'

Word is from a magazine interview (yet to be translated into English) that Toei will be shooting special footage for the Power Rangers 20th Anniversary and rumored to be the Legend War with less Rangers (cutting out pre-Zyuranger teams). And hopefully adding some non-sentai Rangers like Titanium Ranger, Phantom Ranger and the Spirit Rangers. I doubt the Phantom Ranger will be remembered but we'll see. Because so many writers have worked under Power Rangers and they are not all aware of all the characters and some just forget. A reader did bring up a good point that Phantom Ranger can take the place of AkaRed, since AkaRed has the 30th logo on his chest and they would have to reshot footage but anyway he has so very little footage. Phantom Ranger was rumored to be the spirit of past rangers so this could work. I doubt Haim Saban can name them all on the top of his head. They'd be smart to hire a fan, hint hint.

Big news for Power Rangers and Super Sentai

If you haven't already heard the big news, it's been confirmed that Toei is indeed re-shooting the Legend War for Power Rangers, of course excluding Rangers from Goranger-Jetman. This is leading many fans to believe that Goseiger will be used as the 20th Anniversary, but with re-filmed past-Ranger footage, and many concepts from Gokaiger. That alone is leading most fans to believe that Saban is saving the Pirate theme for a later, non-anniversary season without past Rangers since the Goseiger adaption may use them instead. I for one think that this is a very good idea. I remember last winter I suggested to some fellow fans a similar concept (Goseiger using the past-Ranger footage instead of Gokaiger). No one liked the idea at the time, but now it may be a possibility. What are your thoughts?

Believe it or not, that's not the only big news from the last few days that's had fans talking, celebrating, or in this case even scratching their heads: Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters is the official 36th Super Sentai Series, but TOEI decided to launch another Super Sentai series named Hikonin Sentai AkibaRanger (iterally: Unofficial Squadron).

This "Unofficial Squadron" is not part of the official line of Super Sentai but is still called a Super Sentai anyway. Consider it an "EX Super Sentai".

AkibaRanger will tell the story of three young people (a boy and two girls according to the picture) being part of an otaku club and living in the new "Electric-Town" Akihabara. They will have to fight a mysterious malevolent entity that swore to conquer Earth with cool gadgets created by a brilliant genius. No word on any actors yet, but there will be a toyline!

Slowking of Rangerboard showed this picture found on TV-Asahi website and I saw the whole Episode 45 again and this scene was not there. From what I can tell for the rough translation online, there is no mention of Zyuranger. My guess is that this scene was cut for time. Plenty of people on Rangerboard are making fun of fans who would had wanted the Zyuranger with Kibaranger to face Ninjaman as Power Rangers Season 3 reference, but oh well.

Sorry, no Gokaiger Ep45 Pics today

Today no one posted high-definition pictures of Episode 45 and the connection to KeyHole was pretty bad, so I couldn't make caps either. Essentially today was a clip show, the Rangers finally figure out there was something in the temple that the Timerangers sent them too and uncover Ninjaman. He explains he was sealed 10 years ago and had no idea about the Legend War. So in the GokaiGalleon, they explain about the Zangyack, the Legend War and their battles. They have a neat montage of all their team Gokai Changes, start with Kakuranger, then Goseiger and going all the way down to Goranger (Since they already did Kakuranger, they go from Ohranger to Dairanger). They show off different changes like all blue (Ahim-MagiBlue, Don-TimeBlue, Gai-Aoranger, Marvelous-GoseiBlue, Joe-ShinkenBlue and Luka-Blue Dolphin) and all lions (sans Hurricane Yellow of course).

After the commercial break, they highlight all the Legends they met like Kai and the power they unlocked (MagiDragon), Ban and Doggie and the Patstriker; GaoRed and GaoLion; Karou and the Shinken power; Mikoto, Dragon Ranger, Time Fire and Goujyujn; the Hurricangers and Fura Maru; and the other Legends; and finally Machalcon. Then they talk about Basco and that he has 5 legend powers and they need Kakuranger's. Ninjaman declines. He gives a long explainaiton, taking Ahim and Gai away happily. The others aren't too happy. We see NinjaWhite briefly, she addresses the audience.

Hero Profile: Gavan

This month the movie Gokaiger vs. Gavan premieresin Japan, but who is Gavan?

Earth is invaded by the Makuu Empire, led by Don Horror, who had first destroyed a space colony near Earth. Don Horror wants to dominate the whole universe and sends spaceships to create panic on Earth. While the Makuu is trying to impose its domination, Space Sheriff Gavan from the Galactic Union Patrol, arrives in his spaceship, the Dolgiran. He is the son of Tamiko Ichijouji and Voicer. When needed, he is teleported via a silver chrome combat suit using the Jouchaku process which consists of fusing Granium particles to Gavan's body. He is an accomplished athlete and has various weapons at his disposal. On Earth, he uses the name Retsu Ichijoji.

He comes from the Bird Planet, the planet where Space Sheriffs are trained and where they are stationed while on call. Gavan is asked to defend the Earth, which is his mother's planet of origin. Gavan is helped by Mimi, the daughter of Commander Qom, and is given information by Qom, assisted by Marin on his home planet. Gavan goes to Earth to defend it against Don Horror and his devilish schemes. He settles on Earth incognito, using his actual human name, Retsu Ichijouji; he takes a job at the Avalon Youth Club in Japan. In the Uchuu Keiji Crossover, Gavan announces to Sharivan and Shaider that he has proposed to Mimi.

He has been played by Kenji Oba, he has played this role in six different shows or movies. First in Uchû keiji Gyaban (Space Sherrif Gavan) and then later in Sharivan and Shaider. In the special Space Cop Shaider: Pursuit! Shigi Shigi Abduction Plan in 1985. Then in one episode of Chojinki Metalder in 1987 and World Ninja War Jiraiya in 1988. And finally Gokaiger vs. Gavan in 2012 where he plays the dual roles of Ichijouji Retsu and Shirou Akebono from Battle Fever J and Denjiman respectively.

From Univision, basically they say that this is the second time they participate (not true) and the lady says she liked them since she was little and that she always liked Mike. The lady host said she was a fan long time ago--the male announcer commented that when PR came out she wouldn't had been the age of a kid. She said she 'liked' Mike back in the day. So basically I think she has a paper telling her the names. They name all six Rangers correctly (unlike Hallmark channel who said the Ranger names were Jayden, Mike, Kevin, Emily, Mia and Garcia) and have the background music. Saban partially owns Univision.

This morning I woke up at 11am freaking out I missed the parade but didn't see it on TV. So I find out the actual parade is tomorrow January 2nd, starts at 8am in California Pacific time. For us Eastern timers, it is at 11am. You can watch on ABC, NBC or HGTV. The Power Rangers Samurai will have their own float for the first time.

Like the All-color changes, here are some (not all) changes (I'm not counting Go-On Wings because of its frequency of usage) that were not just one team, but had a meaning.

In Episode 12, the four Gokaiger sans Blue became different members of different teams fighting individually (Luka became MegaYellow and YellowMask, Marvelous became Ryuranger and BoukenRed, Ahim became DenjiPink and Pink Flash, Don became MidoRanger and OhGreen), but as a team, they were TimePink, Green Sai, HurricaneRed, and AbareYellow.

In Episode 17, GokaiYellow became MegaSilver, Green became Dragon Ranger, Red became Time Fire, Pink became AbareKiller and Blue became MagiShine. The Gokaiger became Sixth Rangers before GokaiSilver was known to them.

In Episode 23, in honor of the sibling team GoGoFive, Ahim and Luka became FivePink and FiveYellow, who were sisters.

In Episode 23, Ahim became MagiPink and Luka became MagiYellow; they were siblings: brother and sister.

In Episode 25, in honor of the trio of Hurricanger, Red, Yellow and Blue became Liveman.

In Episode 29, Ahim was embarrassed to become AbarePink!

In Episode 37, they used the Extra Hero keys for the first time. Ahim became DekaSwan, Don became Signalman, Marvelous became Wolzard Fire, Gai became Kuro Kishi (proving that he can use any key using the GokaiPhone) and Luka became Marvelous.

In Episode 41, Ahim changed with each member into different duos. She became Go-On Silver and Gai became Go-On Gold, finally, after had becoming Go-On Wings.

In Episode 41, Don became KabutoRaijer and Ahim became Kuwagata Raijer.

In Episode 41, Joe became DekaMaster and Ahim became DekaSwan.

In Episode 41, Marvelous became Shinken Red, and Ahim became Princess Shinken Red.

Also Luka became GoseiYellow and Ahim became GoseiPink, but I don't have a photo.

In Episode 44, Gokai Silver became Gokai Christmas.

For Episode 45, they will transform into Lion-based Rangers. Ahim as GingaRed, Don as Shishiranger, Gai as GoseiKnight, Marvelous as GaoRed, Joe as Go-On Blue, and Luka as Yellow Lion.

In Gokaiger vs. Gavan, we don't know who is everyone because the movie hasn't premiered yet. GokaiYellow becomes Bouken Pink and GokaiPink is Mega Pink and I think Gokai Red is Pteraranger. Lots of people have been waiting for this and thought maybe it was not going to happen because modern social convention in US and Japan (and many other countries), pink is thought of being a girl's color (which I think is silly). Other people still think it is wrong.

6 White Change in Gokaiger Vs Gavan

In Gokaiger vs. Gavan, Gokai Yellow as Gao White, Gokai Pink as Geki Chopper and I think that Gokai Silver is Kibaranger, Gokai Red is Big One, Gokai Blue is Deka Break and Gokai Green is AbareKiller, not sure.

All they are missing is an 6 Black change and an All-Gold change (like 4).
