Black and Gold or Special Megazords

I believe ever since (please correct me if wrong) Zyuranger, there have been special edition black and gold robos. Not until GoGoV, it was a annual thing.

1992: Dairyujin (Zyuranger)
This one was black and silver.

1994: Megazord Special Edition (MMPR)
I don't know if it was the same exact one as the Dairyujin but it looks like it was.


From what I can tell, there were no Black and Gold robos from 1993 (Dairanger) to 1997 (Megaranger). Let me know if you have a picture of the box. Because many people repaint custom their own Megazords.


1998: Black Gingaoh (Gingaman)
This one was indeed Black and Gold.

1999: Galaxy Megazord Gold Version
I think this was the third and last Black and Gold Megazord from Bandai America released in America.

1999: Deluxe Astro Galactic Megazord
The second Bandai America Black version of a Megazord. It was black, gold, and red.

1999: Black Max Victory Robo (Go Go V)
Called the Sigma Project in GoGoV and Lifeforce Megazord in Power Rangers, this came with the Victory Robo and Linerboy. Word out there that there is a Black and Grey Mars Victory.

2000: Deluxe Time Robo and TimeShadow Set (Timeranger)
Not only the main Timerobo was released in black and yellow, but also Time Shadow, it had multiple modes of fun!

2001: GaoKing (Gaoranger)
This is the box to the Black and Silver Gao King with the majority of Power Animals on the bottom.

There was also a special edition Black Gao Knight from Toys R Us for 100 lucky costumers.

2002: Goraisenpujin (Hurricanger)
I liked that this one had tints of green.

2003: Abarenoh Another Version (Abaranger)
Abaranger was creative that year and instead of having black and gold robo, we got a green and bronze toned Abarenoh. It was called Triasaurus Rex in Dino Thunder toy line, I was surprised how much it was used.

2005: MagiKing (Magiranger)
They decided to do something special like they did with Abaranger and have this robo with purple.

2006: Black Ultimate DaiBouken (Boukenger)
10 machines together to form 3 megazord modes in black and yellow.

2007: CANDY Black version of GekiElephantTohja (Gekiranger)
Candy toys are smaller versions of the regular robos, there was no deluxe Gekiranger robo that year.

2008: Skydor and Black and White Gunbir-O (Go-Onger)

Skydor was a special edition repaint of Speedor that was blue and white. Gunbir-O was the only one to get a special black edition, this one being black and white.
