Story behind Hiroshi Fujioka and the two original Kamen Riders

Kunihiro Fujioka better known by his stage name Hiroshi Fujioka is a Japanese actor known for playing the hero Takeshi Hongo in the original Kamen Rider. For the first ten episodes, Hiroshi Fujioka choose to perform his own stunts both as Takeshi Hongo and Kamen Rider because he is a martial artist. On one instance although, Fujioka fractured his leg after a motorcycle stunt went wrong. This motivated the creation of Kamen Rider 2 to continue the series. After Fujioka's injury, Toei decided that what Fujioka did as a stunt person was too risky for production, and thus Takeshi Sasaki didn't perform his own stunts. Despite protest upon his return from the injury, Fujioka was not allowed to perform as Kamen Rider 1 when Takeshi Hongo was written back into the show. Fujioka later returned to the show. As you all may know, the Kamen Rider was retold in the movies Kamen Rider The First and Kamen Rider The Second retelling the story of the two Kamen Riders.
