Clash of Red Rangers is just Ranger Red IN SUIT

These new photos from Nick.com reveals that Clash of the Red Rangers does take the monster from Shinkenger VS Go-Onger but Ranger Red is in costume throughout the whole thing and it is just him. I just hope it is Eka (Scott)'s voice or something similar. Hate to jump on the 'They are not going to adapt Shinkenger because it is too Japanese' bandwagon, but no wonder they didn't release a promo last saturday. I am dissapointed they didn't get the cast. My guess is that they won't explain much about the character or his dimension to not make the fandom too upset, but I am sure some fans will find fault with it anyway and say stuff like 'Samurai sucks and made our favorite season RPM go down with it.'

  1. This news is a might disappointing. I knew a full cast roundup would be costly, and while I had hoped they could at least have the full RPM cast just dub in all their lines over stunt doubles and stock footage I figured at the very least they would spring for Eka Darville and Alex Heartman to share at least one scene together for a morphing sequence then cut to the footage of the two Red Rangers from the Go-Onger movie for the rest of the episode.

Still, this is a first step towards potential crossovers for the future. Gokaiger might have better reason to be adapted if this one goes over well, so I intend to tune in regardless of my initial negative reaction.

  2. This is the 1st team up after 2 seasons and we only get 1 returning ranger. Why Saban why?

  3. this is REALLY DISAPPOINTING. apparently the rpm cast does not like the staff of saban (not sure if true). if it is really true, they will have a problem with gokaiger adaptation. are they even able to get most of the disney cast back?

  4. Bit sad, but better than no team-up. I'll watch on Nick.com (be working when it airs) to support it while appreciating the fact all the main cast of Go-onger came back for the Shinkenger team-up.

You know, it's kinda ironic that we just get an morphed Scott for this team-up considering who came back for the Go-onger team-up and what he didn't do during it.

  5. Why does it look like they meet him at the subway.

  6. Truly disappointing. I think its safe to say at this point that this team-up hasn't been really thought out.

  7. Well...this is gonna be a crappy team-up episode.

  8. I am officially dissapointed in power rangers samurai. When I had initially heard that RPM was doing a crossover with Samurai I thought that we'd get the full RPM cast, with the samurai cast. Man this just sucks.

  9. most likely what happened was that either they didn't have enough money to get the whole cast or Jonathan Tzachor (who said the Disney era wasn't canon) and crew didn't want to write for RPM characters. Sally Martin is the only one and some minor people who did RPM. And maybe some people got more sway that others. I don't see the point to doing a teamup if they won't have any of the returning actors, plus if kids never saw RPM. But mostly like this was done because Saban bought the teamup footage and I have a feeling Bandai is behind this too.
