So KyoryuGold is not Torin, the mentor. Maru Utsuemi, a 400 year-old swordsman played by Atsushi Maruyama.
He fought alongside
Torin against evil Devoss Army during the Sengoku era. He ended up being
sealed inside his rival, Dogold, during their fight.
As he is released, he
swears to destroy the Devoss Army. KyoryuGold’s weapon is a sword called Zunder Thunder. With 3 batteries, he can activate his special attack, “Mysterious Lightning Afterglow”
His partner is Pteragodon, who turned evil while Maru Utsusemi was gone.
