Power Rangers Cosmic Fury - The End - Epsiode Review

SPOILERS

 Episode Summary:

Aiyon wakes up in a white space. Meanwhile, the baddies countdown and Mucus and Slyther start blasting down with the Squid Drill. Scrozzle leaves. The Master Captivator cracks. More Squid Drills arrive and blast at the Mucus one. Amelia gets the captivator. Brajilia leaves. Back with Aiyon, he meets someone like Zayto, who says he sees what he wants to see. Aiyon thinks they are on Nibyro and he is an illusion of the Guardians. The person says he is not Zayto. Aiyon shouts out words that the Fake Zayto recognizes like Rangers and Lord Zedd. He says he doesn't know him but the Morphin Grid connected them. Aiyon asks if he can find Zayto in the grid. The Rangers blast ships on their cruiser. Slyther and Mucus escape the Squid Drill. Billy and Trini greet them. The Dino Megazord, Astro Megazord, Galaxy Megazord, Ninja Blaze Megazord and Beast Morpher Megazord arrive. The Rangers are happy. The Mehazords fight the Squid Drills. The Cruiser zips through the action. Mucus and Slyther float in space. Solon scans the Master Captivator and the crack grows. Billy calls on video again and asks if they are okay. Amelia thanks them but explains what is happening with Zedd, with the energy wave. Billy says they will hold the drills at bay.

Back with Aiyon, the Fake Zayto says he feels the presence of Zayto in the Grid but he says his mortal life is over. He can not change that. He says his other friends need them and he will send him back. He tells Aiyon, "May the Power Protect You." AIyon wakes up and catches up. Javi says he misses the Morphin Masters. They try to figure out what to do with the Zedd Wave. The explosion might wipe out whoever. Ollie thinks of sending it to the Grid, it won't destroy it but it might affect their powers. Every Ranger could lose their powers. Fern thinks it is better than the alternative. They think of Zordnia, the only place they can access the grid. They head to Zordnia and a tentacle is there. 

Amelia shows Javi the staff, which last time he lost his arm. Javi is for putting it in again, Izzy is not happy about it. They think of putting it together, it is about teamwork. Lightning hits the altar. Brajilia blasts at them. She hid on the ship. They use the cannon and blast at the villain, destroying her and her weapon shoots the Captivator, releasing Zedd's energy. Everyone tries putting in the staff when Zayto arrives. Zayto is dressed as a Morphin Master. He transports them into the Captivator as energy. Lord Zedd tries blasting them but it doesn't work. Zayto says he wants to help Zedd, but the tube will explode and he will not exist. Ollie reminds him of what he told him about being a survivor. Zedd agrees with himself but says he will endure. Zayto says he has to let go the Morphin Master energy in order to be saved and freed. Zedd says he doesn't make deals with Rangers. Aiyon tries to convince Zayto. Ollie tells Zedd what is the point and he should survive. The place rumbles. Zedd begrudgingly agrees. Zayto touches him.

Zedd imagines the Rangers dead and Rita bothers him. Rita has a mask and asks for a drink. The Rangers watch Zedd, it is the Planet Nibyro's illusion. The blue ball guardian speaks to the Rangers. Any monster who tries to rescue Zedd will also have nightmares. They talk about his issues. Zayto says Zedd has the potential for redemption. SOlon says it is a toxic relationship. The Morphin Moasters thank the Rangers and they like the solution with Zedd. Blue Master asks how Zayto became one of them. Aiyon says the Fake Zayto might have helped. Green Master says they don't know of such a being. Aiyon says her prophecy came true twice. Zayto says his time as a mortal is over and thanks them. They group hug. Amelia cries. Aiyon says he gets to say goodbye. Zayto and Aiyon do their handshake. Red Master says it is time to go. Zayto joins them and they teleport away. Zayto says he will always be watching. 

Aiyon asks them where they want to go. Amelia says to set a course for home. Later, Javi is playing a song with "Let the Power Protect you" in the lyrics. Billy says it is great Javi is using Zordon's saying, Aiyon says he got it from a being in the void. Billy wants to hear everything. Who is also there is Ollie's mom, Javi and Izzy's mom and dad, and Pop Pop. Amelia gets a pic of Tarrick and Saturna's baby daughter, Poppie. She shows the pic to Mick, Aiyon, and Billy. Billy tells Mick that if that was the spirit of Zordon, he must be out there somewhere. (Which makes me think this was before Once and Always) Mick says ghost and Amelia says she is dropping everything for a ghost hunt. Mucus and Slyther are projecting the lights. Billy watches the gang join Javi on the stage. Zayto watches them and says "Cool Cool Coolio."

Episode Review:
It is funny that before the season premiered, there was fear Zayto would become Zordon.  It is not exactly the same but is interesting. When I was first watching the scene, I didn't think it was Zordon but some sort of avatar for the Morphin Grid. It didn't read like Zordon until the "May the Power Protect you" line. What Billy said at the end makes me believe this takes place before Once and Always. Some fans think the Yellow Ranger is Minh, not Trini. I liked the episode. If I had to rate it, I would say 7/10. Some fans say they didn't like the finale so much. That the whole season was a great ramp up but the finale was leaving them wanting. Some fans were upset the Rangers didn't fight the Master Zedd. I found the solution interesting. The whole season would have felt better with 12 or 14 episodes. I like the ending with Zayto though. Felt right.
