Armor Hero Emperor: Chinese Tokusatsu Hero

Some translations thanks to Jason 嘉陞 Kuo.

鎧甲勇士 is probably translated as Imperial Emperor Brave Knight Armor or Armor Hero Emperor, I am not completely sure about the translation. It was from China in Mandrin--which is a spoken language and the writings are Simplified Chinese, which is hard even for Chinese citizens. 52 episodes were made in 2008. There was a movie and a sequel. It's hard for me to find a good translation.

Xin Nan
The red one is a flame dragon in red armor.

Dong Shan
The blue one had the Wind Hawk power, not sure if it is Hawk or Eagle.

Kun Zhong
The orange one had a tiger power. It's element is the Earth.

Xi Zhao
The silver one, I am not sure if it is a dog. I just keep getting Snow as the translation. He has the power of gold.

Bei Miao
The one with black and yellow armor, it's element is water.



Jason 嘉陞 Kuo says " the purple/gold one has the element of light and the "huge" power of the sun. It was originally used by someone called Xiang Yang (who I think has the blood of all five warriors). However, near the end, he was controlled by the enemy. After being freed, however, he didn't have enough strength to control it anymore, so its power was given to Red."

South Korea: Vectormen

Vectorman (1999) was from South Korea. One thousand years ago, Venus was attacked and the civilization there was destroyed by the Empire for its natural resources. Princess Ledia escaped to Earth carrying the means to create and train the Vectormen to defend Earth from Medusa, leader of the Empire forces. Like the other series I have covered today, I have never seen this one.

At first the costumes might look dumb, but I think they are unique as the silver mouths are not based on human lips but on the animals.

Kang Jin-ho/Tiger Vectorman
19 year-old college student, taekwondo club member and has tiger-motif in red.


Cho Bihoan/Eagle Vectorman
19 year-old Boxing champion. Smart and liked women. His motif was of the Eagle in Green. For some reason, his jacket had yellow on it instead of green.


Bear Vectorman
Shin Woong is a 19 year-old Judo Champion. His motif was of the Bear in black. For some reason his jacket consisted of black and green.


Satan Empire
Evil Empire conquering the ambitious of the entire universe. Have expanded their power through repeated invasion. Imperial identity is unknown. Medusa is the total Commander Satan Empire Earth invaders. Looks beautiful, but is cruel and ruthless. Cobra Space Battleship of command from the side of the moon a giant fortress. Gen Cobra is the outpost commander of Satan, he is ambitious cruel and nasty.


Giant Bekutaman
To counter the huge monster of Satan, a giant combat robot spacecraft to escape from the planet Venus. It works by tracing the movement of Soldiers stood on the autopilot.

Changerion: Obscure Toei Productions

Choukou Senshi Changéríon (Super Optical Soldier Changéríon) is a series created by Toei Company aired from April 3, 1996 to December 25, 1996. It was originally planned to run for a full 52 episodes before being cut down to 39 due to low ratings.

The DarkZide stealthily appeared on Earth from their dying world in Dark Dimension to acquire the Larmu, human life-energy, to continue their existence. To counter the threat, Takeshi Munakata of the Cabinet Secret Service established the group SAIDOC to intercept the DarkZide. SAIDOC developed the Crystal Power needed to completed the Changérion project. However, the power was accidentally transferred into the body of detective Akira Suzumura

Magic Bullet Chronicles Ryukendo

Madan Senki Ryukendo (魔弾戦記リュウケンドー/Magic Bullet Chronicles) was made by Takara and We've Inc on TV Achi in JAPAN from January 8 to December 31, 2006. Akebono City is a peaceful community overflowing with humanity. Since there was a Power Spot that released magical power in the community, the people were distressed by the threat of the demon army Jamanga who are gathering Minus Energy from the frightened masses for a sinister purpose. The secret organization SHOT was formed to protect the people, masquerading as ordinary members of the Akebono Police Station, which considers demons beyond their jurisdiction. Kenji Narukami, a student of the Narukami Dragon God Style for fighting demons, arrives to Akabono to fight the demons, transformed into Ryukendo and fights Jamanga's forces together with his friends.

Kenji Narukami/Madan Swordsman Ryukendo
He moved to Akebono, and was mistaken for a demon upon arrival. By inserting the RyuKen Key into GekiRyuKen, Kenji can synchronize with GekiRyuKen to transform into Ryukendo. His transformation call is "GekiRyu Transform!" Brave Leon is Ryukendo's JuuOh, which can turn into a three-wheel motorcycle. He has four forms: Fire Ryukendo, Aqua Ryukendo, Thunder Ryukendo and Ultimate Ryukendo.

Fire Ryukendo (mode 1), his JuuOh is the Fire Kong.

Aqua Ryukendo (Mode 2), his Jyuoh is Aqua Shark.

Lighting Ryukendo (Mode 3), his Juuoh is the Thunder Eagle.

Ultimate Ryukendo (Mode 4), his Juuoh is the Raijin Dragon.

Ryuguno
Juushirou Fudou/Madan Gunman Ryuguno made his entrance before Ryukendo did, sending an army of Tsukaima to a quick defeat. He really doesn't like it when people call him "Old Man", a nickname that Kenji started despite the fact that Fudou is only twenty-five years old. It was eventually revealed that Fudou and Kenji are a combination destined by fate. When he inserts the RyuGun Key into GouRyuGun, he can synchronize with GouRyuGun to transform into Ryuguno. His transformation call is "GouRyu Transform!" His JuuOh is Buster Wolf. In Episode 50, with some of Kenji's power, Fudou turns into Ultimate Ryuguno.

Madan Fighter Ryujino
Koichi Shiranami/Madan Fighter Ryujino isn't a member of SHOT, but rather, a mysterious wanderer, armed with the ZanRyuJin. Koichi lived in England when he was a kid, and Commander Amachi of SHOT wanted his parents to work on the Madan Suits for Ryukendo and Ryuguno. When he inserts the RyuJin Key into ZanRyuJin, the weapon synchronizes with the Madan Ryu Core to transform him into Ryujino when he says "ZanRyu Transform!" His JuuOh is Delta Shadow. In Episode 50, Koichi transforms into Ultimate Ryujino.

Master Ryukendo
An ancient Madan warrior, whom with his two allies who fought against DaiMaOu in the first war.

Familars
The grunts of the Jamanga. I couldn't find pictures of the villains, the Demon Army Jamnga, lead by DaiMaiOh GrenGhost and backed up by Dr. Worm, Jack Moon, Lady Gold, Rock Crimson and Baron Bloody. 

Kyodai Ken Byclosser: Obscure Toei Production

Kyoudai Ken Byclosser (Brother Fist Byclosser/兄弟拳バイクロッサー) is a series created by Shotaro Ishinomori (Ishinomori Productions) and Toei Company. Series consisting of 38 episodes airing on Nippon Television from January 10 1985 until the date of 26 September the same year.

The one in red was Byclosser Ken / Ken Mizuno and the one in blue is his younger brother Gin / Ginjiro Mizuno. Tetsu Kaneko played Ken and Yuki Tsuchiya played Ginjiro. Apparently they are available on DVD, came out in 2007-2008. Also the first episode was available in 2008's 70th Anniversary of the Birth of Shotaro Ishinomori.

It was dubbed in Portuguese for Brazil, by one of TV Rede Globo in the year 1991 , and later broadcast by the TV Gazeta. Unfortunately the results of dubbing was very bad, a lot of translation errors and inappropriate names.

I don't have pictures of the villains but they were called Dester and lead by Doctor Q. I got this info from the Japanese wiki, not available in the American wiki.

"XGather: The Jet Accel" introduces characters from Shinkenger, Double, Goseiger, and Kyodai Ken Byclosser.
