Rita Repulsa Merchandise (Purple Rita)

UPDATED 10/12/15
We did not get a Rita Repulsa Action Figure but we did get various in merchandise and she had a purple dress.

Rita Repulsa plush figure

Above is the squeeze light and a small figurine that can with King Sphinx, Goldar, Putty, Squatt and Baboo.

Purple and pink Rita (with no breast cones) appeared in the 1995 World Tour stage show.

There was a Rita figure planned back in 1993 but it wasn't approved by regulations and was not mass-produced. Fans have wanted a show-accurate figure ever since. Rumors are that some in Bandai America do want a Rita figure but the higher ups believe it won't sell.

In the "The Wedding" two-parter, there was a wedding cake with Rita and Zedd on top. The Zedd figure is indeed the Bandai American Zedd action figure. Rita---it looks to me like the prototype form the last photo but it could be the puppet model made for when she was shrunk.

UPDATED 10/12/15
Lord Zedd
For more on Lord Zedd (he had around 13 figures), check this out: http://henshingrid.blogspot.com/2010/10/lord-zedd-merchandise.html

Rita Repulsa
It was made in 2011 during Power Rangers Super Samurai, unfortunately it did not sell well and can still be spotted in stores.

Ivan Ooze
Ivan Ooze got 3 figures (two in 1995 and one in 2014), so did Mordant, Hornitor and Scorpitron.

Master Vile
He only has two figures, he was a big threat for a while, not exactly a big boss but I still consider him so.

Divatox
The first of two figures of villianesses but the only figure of a female boss. She had 'cape' action.

Captain Mutiny
Captain Mutiny came in as 'Space Buccaneer' probably because they didn't have a name yet and he came in late in the series. It was a very detailed figure.

Diabolico
In Lightspeed, not the main boss but he was the main villain for a while. He was first made in Bandai Japan, the rare villain figure.

RansikThe first exclusive toy that was only from Power Rangers and not Super Sentai was Ransik. Ransik came not only by himself but with Quantum Ranger in the Control Center set. He didn't have much articulation, I think only with his arms.

Master Org
This Savage Battle pack that came with five Rangers except for white came with Master Org, who didn't have much articulation.

Lothor
Lothor came along with the Mobile Command Center and a hamster Sensei figure. I don't have a picture of the sensei and most fans say that Lothor ahd a different design and colors than the one in promotions, I don't know if this one is the before or after.

Mesogog
The Triceramax Command Center came with Mesogog but he could only move his arms.

Dai Shi
Dai Shi figure came in Jungle Fury, he also had another figure.

Moltor and Kamdor
Figures came out for PROO late in the game.

Master Xandred
A Deker action figure was also made along with Scorpion Zord that came with a small Xandred. Xandred also had a Squinkie and Mega Bloks figure.

Vrak
Vrak was hard to find as it could mostly be found at CVS Pharamacy and sometimes at Target. It did come with other Megaforce Ranger figures at Toys R Us. He did get MegaBloks figures.

Prince Vekar
His figure was easier to find than his brother, as he has been spotted at Wal-Mart, Target and Toys R Us, he is also available with the Super Megaforce figures. He has yet to have a Mega Bloks figure.

Sledge
As of October 2015, has not be release. Most likely he will be released in late November.

Big Bosses that didn't get figures:
King Mondo
Dark Specter
Scorpius
Queen Bansheera
Emperor Grumm
The Master (his eye did come in a set)
Flurious
Venjix (any of his forms)

Villain Profile: Queen Beryl

Sailor Moon's iconic and best known main villain is Queen Beryl, she may be as iconic as Rita Repulsa. They have a lot in common as they are both witches that stand or sit around their palace waiting for their minions to do their bidding. Aya Sugimoto played Queen Beryl in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, who was slightly different from her Manga and Anime incarnations. In every version, Queen Beryl is a minion of Queen Metalia, who destroyed the peaceful Moon Kingdom many years ago. This caused Princess Serenity and her friends to be re-incarnated. Beryl came back, to collect energy for Meteria and seek revenge against Moon. In the 2003 live-action version, she had a past infatuation with Prince Endymion, who was reincarnated into Mamoru (Tuxedo Kamen).

In PGSM and the manga, she was a a lowly woman (in the manga, she was a beautiful woman) who secretly lusted over Endymion when she would ease drop on Serenity and Endymion. She plotted to make him hers. But then in 2003, Beryl made a off-shoot of herself, a teenage idol by the name of Mio. Mio did flirt a bit with Mamoru but didn't do as much as Beryl, she trapped him in a bedroom (yes, I know), under the watch of Mio. She did turn him evil for a brief period, like in the Anime and Manga before. Mio came back in Special Act sequel movie to get Mamory back but failed. In the Anime, she didn't have emotions for Mamoru but did make him evil to destroy Usagi.

Above picture is from Naoko Takeuchi's (creator) Materials Collection book. Queen Beryl in her wench form and her best known purple dress form. In the Anime, her boss Queen Metalia became Negaverse in the English dub. In the English dub, the Negaverse gave her power but she was still Queen Beryl but in the original Anime, Metalia took over her body and was named Super Beryl. In the Manga, Beryl killed Prince Endymion as he was trying to protect Princess Serenity, leading to the princess's own suicide. Sailor Venus killed Beryl with the Moon Sword. Beryl is "reborn" in the 20th century, but finds Queen Metalia sealed within the Earth while traveling in the Arctic. The inclusion of her (an evil character) in a line of girl dolls was described as a "radical idea" by Karen Klugman in her article "A Bad Hair Day for G.I. Joe" in 1999. The funny thing is that 'evil' dolls is not a strange thing, remember the Misfits in Jem back in 1985? Or the Trix in the Winx Club in 2004?
