Episode Summary:
In Zedd's palace on Eltar, Ollie is mad at Scrozzle for an electric surge with the device holding the Morphin Masters. Brajilla enters saying the Rangers are free and zords are loose. She is worried about her daughter Squilia. Zedd says he doesn't care, he has a plan to become stronger than a Morphin Master, an idea from Scrozzle. Brajilia is going to save her reputation, by taking a Squid Drill. Zedd calls her a ninnie. On Earth, Zayto tries to read Squillia's mind and can't find anything. Aiyon and Javi return from liberating Japan. Fern and Izzy come back from New Zealand. Aiyon and Ollie say Lani, Ollie's mom has a theory on how to cure Ollie and it is to break the Tricera Statue, severing his link to the Morphin Grid. They get a video from Billy saying his team has been freed in Angel Grove, they will take down some Squid Drills in Reefside (Where Tommy and Kat live) and then figure out their next move.
Aiyon needs to pack up his cafe and can not open until Zedd's invasion is over. He leaves. He arrives at his cafe and finds a little girl wanting alien food. He gives a recipe to his mom and she leaves. The little girl ends up at a magic show made by two people who look familiar to Aiyon. Aiyon realizes they are Mucus and Slyther. Aiyon approaches them when everyone leaves. He touches them and discovers Mucus survived the fight and wishes for Slyther and wished to be human with a wish charm. Slyther changed into human and they made a circus for fun. Zedd's forces destroyed their circus. They hate Zedd. He has an idea and they go into Tarrick's warehouse. Tarrick thinks they are still evil. Zayto, Amelia, and Tarrick mindread them and believe they are clear. Mucus hates her human body.
In space, Bajilia heads to Earth with her drill. Inkworth finds that Squillia's phone is in Pine Ridge. She says to take them by surprise. Squilia sleeps. The Rangers think Slyther and Mucus can be spies, Zedd could think they are evil and they get them intel and save Ollie. Tarrick asks how can Mucus be undercover if only Slyther can shapeshift. Javi suggests only Slyther go. Mucus objects and cries. Zayto feels bad and says no one should feel like they don't belong in their body. He changes Mucus back into a mushroom. Solon and Aiyon are concerned. She applauds Zayto. Zayto faints. An alarm sounds. They see a Squid Drill arriving. Solon takes Zayto to the base. The girls morph and go in the zords. Amelia is in Dragon, Fern in Shark, and Izzy in Chamelo. Two Copyguards arrive and the Rangers combine to make the Cosmic Dragon Megazord.
Back with Squillia, Brajilia and the Copyguards arrive. Javi and Aiyon morph. She calls Zentinels. Mucus and Slyther help fighting. Brajilia fights AIyon. Tarrick fights Copyguards. Brajilia frees Squillia and she wakes up. The Mehazord continues to fight, Javi asks for the girls. Izzy uses the lash to make the Copyguards trip. They call the final attacks and destroy the Copyguards. Squilia spits ink on the visors of Aiyon and Javi. The mother and daughter are stopped by the girl Rangers, who just teleported in. Squilia tries spitting on them too but is fresh out. The Rangers attack and destroy the two. The Rangers demorph. Slyther changes into Squilia. They come up that Mucus is her lawyer. The two teleport away. The Rangers teleport away. A squid tentacle escapes.
Fake Squilia cries to Zedd about her mom dying. Mucus says hi. Zedd hangs up on her. Squilia now she owns the company. Inkworth heads to Eltar. Back at the base, they talk about how Zayto has been sleeping. Aiyon and Solon cover up. Zayto heard the others stressing and worrying. They realize Aiyon and Solon are covering things up. Zayto walks into the room. Zayto tells them not to lie for him anymore. He comes clean on what has been happening. He will return to the Grid, the Rangers want to know when. Zayto says he will stop Zedd and thanks Aiyon and Solon, realizing he made them feel uncomfortable. The Rangers say they are there for him and all hug. Slyther sends a message that they are going to Eltar for Zedd's base.
Meanwhile on Eltar, everyone is sleeping and Slyther and Mucus find the Tricera statue, and Master Captivator. They attach a bomb to the statue. The alarm goes off. Zedd enters and the statue explodes. Squilia's phone drops and Ollie de-morphs. Slyther asks Ollie if he is good. Zedd blasts Slyther and Mucus. Squilia is revealed to be Slyther and Mucus is now slime. Zedd says the plan is over, Ollie stops Zedd from destroying Slyther. Ollie tells him simple destruction is too easy for them. Mucus becomes solid again and is worried Ollie is still evil. The Zentinels capture the two.

Episode Review:
Interesting how Zayto's words about Mucus' body has been instantly detected as Transcoding. For those who do not know, "not feeling comfortable in their body" is akin to what Transgender people under the Trans umbrella might feel at times. Also, Zayto and Aiyon's relationship also have tones of queer coding. Queer coding is subtext, while Izzy and Fern's relationship is overt text, it is obvious they are a gay couple. As for Ollie, it might seem he is still evil, until you see the next episode of course. Also good to see Tarrick fighting but wish he did transform into a Ranger Ally or Extra Hero.
