More Voting Results

I decided to end these polls because I think there is so far these polls could go.

Which Kamen Rider series should be adapted for the United States next?
The number one was 177 out of 565 voted for Kabuto, but you could vote more than once. Second picked was Faiz (555), which aired after Ryuki in 2003. The one people didn't like much was the most hated of all... Hibiki at 6%. I wrote KMDK accidentally instead of KRDK, meaning a second season of Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. It got 129 votes out of 565.

Do You Think Kamen Rider Will Get a Second Season in America?
Fans believe yes, it will get a second season. 363 out of 546. We still don't know if there will be a second season or series. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight has been licensed again for 2010 and a video game has been planned but no production of episodes have been ordered. It is still a mystery.

Would it be cool to have a female 'Decade' Rider the represents the 3 girl Kamen Riders?
This was made before the debut of Kamen Rider Amaki, it seems like there will be no new female Kamen Rider as Kamen Rider Decade is coming to an end and we are hearing more about Kamen Rider W. My heart swells in warmth to find out 222 out of 268 agree with me. We'll see, stranger things have happened, we didn't get word of Deka Bright back in 2004 and Kamen Rider Amaki wasn't mentioned either in early stages.

Power Rangers RPM - Episode 17 - "Prisoners"

Summary

The twins explain there is a factory where human prisoners build the Grinders and they were prisoners there and they want to blow it up. Scott wants a plan first, the twins race off. Dillon listens to his musical watch and tells Summer he knows the tune by heart. Dr. K tells the Rangers there is a giant ball of yarn (through the garbage chute) they need to fight. Flynn and Ziggy discuss what they need to fight the yarn, a funny zord and then they get in an argument if it needs to be an animal or not, Flynn explains it has to be half animal, half vehicle.

The Rangers arrive and discover there is no yarn, it's a trap by the three generals, a new attack bot that can copy their moves and has them on the ropes. Dr. K tells them to stop attacking. Gem and Gema arrive and save the five. The bad guys disappear. The twins seem to be making something, that Ziggy thinks it is pancakes... it is neturonic detonating putty, that Ziggy puts in his mouth. The twins are humming and Dillon recognizes the tune. They heard from a blind prisoner girl in the factory, who they couldn't see but hear and she never used her real name.

The tune came from an old family heirloom carried by her brother. Dillon wants to go to the factory, the twins wanted to blow it up, Dr. K and Scott are against it because it might be a false memory again. Dillon says the watch is real, the twins are real, so it must be real. Later, Flynn and Scott plan to take out Dillon's spark plugs, his car races off and they find out that their spark plugs were taken out. Ziggy and Dillon are back in the car, he brings up how things have changed... and find out they really haven't.Ziggy looks at the map the twins gave him and they are like a kid made them... rainbow, flower and arrows and unicorns.

They get attacked by Grinders. They are saved by Summer. Summer can read the map and calls shotgun. Back at the lab, Dr. K reads a butterfly note from the twins that they left on a 'super secret mission'. Scott asks Flynn if he was to disobey him as well as everyone else has, he says he is good and then the Saw Bot attacks the city and the two Rangers go there. Meanwhile, Ziggy, Dillon and Summer arrive at the factory and see humans going in. They disguise themselves as workers and sneak in when the Grinder guard looks west for 26 seconds (reliable robots). Inside, the place looks like the Venjix headquarters with flowing red lights. The Grinders are guarding a door that might have info and files.

Ziggy is left to make a distraction, Dillon and Summer tell him to keep it low-key. He says he is Mr. Finesse, they then take off his hood and pat him on the head. Ziggy throws a bolt, the grinders go to it, he throws a glove at one's head and the two enter the room. There is no keyboard on the computer but Summer 'plugs in' with a device but the files are going too fast, but not too fast for Dillon, he can read it because of his upgrades. Ziggy makes noise and the intruder alarm goes off. Dillon is about to get his info when the Grinders blow the computer up and attack them.

The two fight. Ziggy makes shadow puppets of intruders leaving and the Grinders follow them. The other two shake it off. Outside, Ziggy falls on the sand. The two pick them up and they go in the car--Summer gets front seat again. Dillon races off in his car. They turn on the radio and hear Dr. K advising Blue and Red fighting the Saw Bot. Summer says they are fighting alone. Dillon says it is not for long. Ziggy asks how he knows, we discover he is all squished up in the back seat as there is no back seat. Gem and Gema join in the battle with Blue and Red and blow the monster up.

The other three arrive and morph and the monster becomes big and they destroy it with Zenith Megazord and the other two zords (as backup). Back at the base, Scott scolds Dillon. Dillon is still on the fact that he has a sister. Dillon says he has to go back. Summer says they all do. Summer reveals that they are building something else in that factory... a giant whale-like blimp... a doomsday device.

Review
Sorry, no new episode next week. Yes, reruns once again. Two weeks of reruns, sorry guys. I know ya'll are impatient but there is nothing ya'll can do.

Anyhoo, we all thought when twins said they needed to go on a super secret mission that they were going to the factory, but that was not explained. They then appeared to fight with Blue and Red in the city. So, maybe we will find out next week what happened. Good episode, very smart as always, organized, and good all together. Also, the twins are so cheery for being had stripped from their parents, being constantly shot at, and being prisoners. One thing is that why they left the factory, but I can answer that, they only got 30 minutes. And spoilers... we all know that the giant blimp is a zord and it is gonna combine with gold and silver's zords. How we know? Um.. Go-onger and the toy too.

What is Plex?

PLEX is the company that designs everything for Super Sentai from suits to mecha to weapons. The company approximately started about eight years ago,

they grew from the Popy company that took care of that task since the beginning of the Super Sentai in 1975. Popy is the first company to manufacture the Super Sentai toys and products and also designing the Super Sentai artifacts. Nowadays, Bandai is the company makes the toys for Power Rangers and Super Sentai for all over the world. Plex also has designed the Titanium Ranger's weapons and rumored to had designed all the Bandai America toys. I say rumor because it has not be confirmed. Plex also manufactures some things, mostly keychains and cell phone chain figures.

This is how the chain of command works for Power Rangers. First of all, Disney, Toei and Bandai own part of Power Rangers. It is shot and made by Village Roadshow in New Zealand, original footage from Japan by Toei, distributed and owned by Disney, Bandai America produces and distributes the toys, Plex designs the props and toys, and Rainbow Productions manufactured the monster suits.

Power Rangers RPM - Episode 16 - "In Or Out"

UPDATED JULY 10, 2009

For some reason, the transmission had no closed caption, I tried all my TVs but none had it. Closed Caption helps me when Dr. K says her long winded speeches.

Episode Summary:

Dr. K has a meeting with all the Rangers and explains that her 'dear friends' Gem and Gema escaped through their 'Gold and Silver Series Morphers.' They have been fighting the Venjix in the wastelands. They say they like to shoot first and ask questions later, making the main five a bit uneasy. Meanwhile, Tenaya and the two generals enter the city. They plan to take away the city's oxygen. Back in the base, Dr. K says the twins have confronted her that she has treated the five coldly in order to prevent emotional trauma (like when she thought she lost Gem and Gema). Everyone denies her on being 'bordering on coldness.'

She says that 'as your mentor'--- Ziggy interrupts and says that they are older than her. So as their mentor, she proceeds to say something she likes about each of them and then say their real name. And then she uncomfortably hugs them, starting with Scott. Gem and Gema encourage her. Dr. K admires his honor, integrity, and hair... As for Summer, she says that as the only other female in the group, her feelings for her override her instincts to sabotage her in effort to get the attention of the males. Summer says the feeling is mutual... she thinks. Then for Flynn, she likes his passion, optimism and delightfully musical but sometimes incomprehensible accent. When she gets to Dillon, he tries to duck out (leave) but Flynn stops him and she says that he is psychologically unstable but considers him a true hero. Ziggy waits for his hug and she says 'You too Series Green.' She wants them to know she loves them.

Flynn wants everyone to agree that never happened. Ziggy is upset she hasn't said anything nice about him and the alarm goes off and he just can't let it go. They go off. Ziggy spells his name. Dillon grabs him. Meanwhile, the generals play with the air exhaust and make damage. The five Rangers morphed arrive and fight the Grinders. Blue helps Green, Yellow fights the Generals, Black fights Tenaya... Tenaya gets to the controls and a big fan sucks everything in. The Rangers hold on to dear life. All the Grinders are sucked in and sliced and destroyed. The Generals for some reason seem invulnerable to the sucking. Yellow gets loose and Black saves her. Green gets loose and heads for the fans.

Commercial Break.

Gold and Silver arrive and smash the controls and the fan stops and Ziggy falls, saying he was not worried. The enemies leave, silver and gold go after them, Scott's dad wants them to fall back, Red stands in front of the twins and tries to stop them from going outside. Red says they have to defend the city, Silver and Gold say, "But who says?" The seven and K are in Truman's base and he wants them to stay inside. Gem and Gema want to go outside, Truman wants to seal in the enemy but diverting the energy of the shields. Meaning, they will not be able to open the shield again for a long amount of hours. The twins have another plan... the bad guys have an outpost outside and they want to blow it up.

Truman is amused ("you make it sound so easy"), Hicks tell them that they will be living on air for only 30 days until fixed and they can't let it be hit again. Gem and Gema head out, Truman says once he overcharges the shield, he can't let them back in, Gem scoffs like he doesn't care. Scott thinks they might have a point. Truman ask, "What are you two trying to do?" "We are trying to win. Why? What are you trying to do, colonel?" The twins answer. Back at the evil lair, Venjix brings out his new Vacuum Bot (Vacuum Banki from Ep 18). Back at Dr. K's lab, Ziggy keeps bugging Dr. K to see if she wanted to make another announcement. Scott and Summer show Dr. K a line. She says it is prehistoric underground river bend. Scott realizes they might be trying to get something out.

At the gate, Hicks and Scott's dad are about to overcharge the shields. Scott arrives in his car and warns him, that Venjix wants them to overcharge the shields, which they do do. Scott rolls under the gate as it lowers. Truman wants to raise it to save his son, saying he is trapped out there, Hicks makes him realizes that they are trapped in there. After the commercial break, Gem and Gema arrive to the outpost and see the air tunnel. Scott arrives and informs them with the new information, that the are sucking the oxygen from the city. He wants to them to split up, they say they don't ever spit up. Scott says there is a first time for everything and grabs them. Silver and Red enter the cave-like place full of Grinders. Gold fights the Grinders and Generals outside.

In the city, Dr. K says that Scott and the twins were right, oxygen is leaving. There is no way out. Station 19... they can escape through there. Dillon says it only lets go flames at dawn, so Flynn says they re-program it. Dr. K says the problem is that now that the shields are overcharged, the fire is bigger. The four run off. Red spots the Vacuum bot sucking up air. Silver runs in, Red pulls her back and tells her a plan but she runs off anyway. He tells her the pressure is too high. At the gate, Ziggy still complains about Dr. K. They morph and use their individual powers to get through the gate (the stop time, the shield and teleporting, etc.). Back at the outpost, Gema fires and Vacuum Bot explodes out of the cave. Silver and Red fight the bot. Meanwhile, Green wants Dr. K to say kind words from the self-proclaimed Mentor or he won't move, Blue pulls him to safety as fire ges ner him. Tenaya coughs as she gets out of the cave. She gets in the fight with Gold.

Gold tells Tenaya and the generals to wait where they are in order to join in with Red and Silver. Tenaya leaves, saying they will be destroyed. The three destroy and blow away the bot. He is made bigger and ValveMax arrives and fights it. Red calls for his zord and they make High Octane. The bot sucks in their sword and sucks in the finisher from ValveMax. Dr. K sends the two zords of Gold and Silver and they combine with High Octane Megazord and they say "you are toasted" as they destroy the monster with a new finisher. Back at the garage, Dr. K reprts that the oxygen levels are back to normal. Dr. K gives each Ranger a compliment on the battle in order to improve her role as their mentor. Ziggy complains again that they are older. Dr. K tells Summer she has nice shoes. She compliments Gem and Gema and goes to Ziggy with a bright smile (big scary) and calls him "You." The alarm goes off and everyone runs off. Ziggy says it could be the last time she ever sees him.

Review:
If you can't see the ep today, you didn't miss much. We don't see the twins morph and we don't get the names o their zords. If fans complained about Gem and Gema finishing their sentences and being too goofy, then they will be complaining now. The only difference in their personality is that they like to blow things up. Anyway, it was really really funny, I have never laughed so loud for a Power Ranger episode in a long time. As for why Red split up with Silver, that is from the Go-Onger footage but they didn't use any except for the megazord! Anyhoo, the most funny and emotional parts came from Dr. K and Ziggy, making the possible romance between them that fans are hoping for more apparent.

Clarification on Power Rangers Credits

In the PR wiki, it claims that RPM is the first Power Rangers series to have the ending credits during the episode. I think there is confusion. Having the end credits run during the end of the episode is common for ABC Kids. It has been happening since Mystic Force. But since most international fans see the version of the episode on their Jetix channel or from our Jetix, they get regular credits. And now that RPM is only exclusively airing on ABC, we only see those end credits. But running end credits during the last scene has been common practice for the past four years.
