Power Rangers Super Megaforce: Everyone else relagated to Extra Heroes

Updated 6/18/17
I went over the list of who counts as a Sixth Ranger for Saban Brands. Some fans asked about Spirit Rangers and Red Samurai Ranger (Lauren), I just know more fans would ask the same. So I decided to cover those who Toei and Gokaiger consider Bangai Heroes, Bangai meaning 'Extra' in this context. Many fans have referred to those that don't quite fit in 'Sixth Ranger' category as Extra Hero. This would be 7th or 8th Rangers and also those heavy armored heroes like Sentinel Knight and Blue Senturion. But Super Megaforce didn't even use the Extra Heroes!

Ninjor
Ninjor was a mentor who would occasionally fight with the Megazords. In Episode 45 of Gokaiger, it has been revealed he was in a jar during the Legacy War and destroyed by Goseiger's villains but the Timerangers sent the Gokaiger to save him (without their knowledge). He had a toy in America and Japan. He did not appear in Super Megaforce but Bandai America made a Ranger Key of him. Since he was never a 'Sixth' position as he was introduced after they had six Rangers, he is considered a Extra Hero by fans.

 Auric the Conqueror
Auric was an ally like Ninjor and fought with the zords (sometimes) but wasn't a big deal, he didn't get a lot of focus. His disappearance was not explained but maybe it can be thought he was stuck in his tiki-form. He had a toy in America and Japan. He was not in Gokaiger and had no Ranger Key. Nor does he seem to get one for Power Rangers. Anyway, not many fans are clamoring for him.

Blue Senturion
Uncharted territory with extra heroes in Power Rangers realm, he wasn't exactly a Sixth Ranger. He was in Gokaiger and was considered a Extra Hero in Japan and had a Ranger  Key toy and on the show. In America, he has a Ranger Key.  He is not in the Legendary Battle and no one becomes him.

Phantom Ranger
VRV Master in Carranger was not really a sixth ranger nor an extra hero, he was not included in Gokaiger. He was a Ranger in Power Rangers Turbo and he was voted for Morphin Madness to have a Ranger Key by fans and might be getting a Ranger Key. He did get a Halloween Costume two years in a row. He was not in the Legendary Battle, most likely the suit has been lost and Saban was not going to remake it. I consider him an 'Extra Hero.' He did get a American Ranger Key toy.

Magna Defender
Toei counted him as an 'Extra Hero' in Gokaiger. In the US. In Gokaiger, even though he does not appear on Silver's morpher or armor, Silver does get his key as Black Knight is his hero and does become him. In Super Megaforce, since they are sticking to the Japanese footage, Magna Defender is not on the Silver Ranger's Gold Armor.  Magna Defender does appear in the Legendary Battle in the last episode, no other Extra Heroes do. No one becomes him in Super Megaforce. I call him an 'inbetweener' as he is in the Legendary Battle and has a key in a Nick.com game, but he isn't part of the Sixth Rangers of Orion on the show.

Shadow Ranger
He is considered Extra Hero for Gokaiger and got a key. He did get a US toy key. He does not appear in the Legendary Battle and no one becomes him in Super Megaforce.

Kat Ranger
She appeared in Gokaiger and got a Japanese Ranger Key as an Extra Hero. She did not get a US key. She is not in the Legendary Battle and no one becomes her in Super Megaforce.

Nova Ranger
She was not in Gokaiger and never got a key. Maybe because she only appeared in one episode that she was not selected by Toei to be in Gokaiger. She eventually got a Japanese premium Key.  It doesn't look like Bandai will be releasing a Nova Ranger Key. I mean, if they don't even make Kat Ranger a key, what chance does Nova have?

White Mystic Ranger
Funny how Shadow Ranger was considered a sixth ranger by fans but ultimately he is an Extra Hero and Omega is the sixth but Udonna appeared first and then the five Rangers, she is still considered 7th after Sentinel Knight. She was in Gokaiger and got a key. In Super Megaforce, no one becomes her and she doesn't appear in the war. She did receive an US Ranger Key toy.

Koragg the Wolf Warrior
He is considered a Extra Hero by fans. In Japan, he was an Extra Hero, was in Gokaiger and had a Ranger Key. He did get a Ranger Key in America. Orion becomes him in "All Hail Vekar" only. He is not in the Legendary Battle.

Sentinel Knight
He was a '7th hero' in Boukenger, he occasionally helped in Operation Overdrive and was used as armor for Red Sentinel Ranger. He was an Extra Hero for Gokaiger and had a Ranger Key. He did not get an US Key  and he's not in the Legendary Battle.

Dai Shi and Camile
They were evil, then when Dai Shi was expelled from Jarrod, they reformed and fought for a good cause. In Japan, Rio and Mele were considered Extra Heroes and appeared in Gokaiger and had Ranger Keys. People consider them fourth and fifth Rangers for some reason. Dai Shi and Camile did not get US keys. It is funny since Mele had no action figure in Japan but did get a Ranger Key toy and in the USA, Camile did get an action figure but did not get a US key. No one becomes them in Super Megaforce.

Spirit Rangers
Elephant, Bat and Shark Rangers are American-made like Titanium Ranger and many fans wanted keys of them. One fan on the last post says they are sixth rangers but technically they are like 6, 7 and 8th, but in warrior-count, I suppose they are 8th, 9th and 10th. Anyways, I suppose they got forgotten because they are not in the Gokaiger footage. I clumped them in here. It doesn't look like they are getting keys. This is why I scoff every time the Nickelodeon announcer (for Super Megaforce promos) said "They can become... Every... Ranger.. Ever." No.. Not.. Really...

Lauren Red Samurai Ranger

Lauren's key has been teased so much. She has appeared in the back of boxes, promo images and even promo images of Super Mega Cannon. I don't like it. She did not appear at SDCC 2014 but in a poster. She is technically 7th. She is an Extra Hero in Gokaiger, probably to round out the females in the 10 Extra Heroes--four females. She doesn't appear  in the Legendary Battle. No one becomes her in Super Megaforce.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce - The Perfect Storm - Episode Review

"The Perfect Storm"
There is a storm and Tensou goes out and gets hit by lightning and forgets who he is. At Brain Freeze, Noah comes in and tells the guys. The Froyo Machine is broken and Gosei calls them to get Tensou. Ernie makes a call for Froyo repair. Vekar wants to use a stone to be place on a pyramid that absorbs storm energy that Vrak was working on. Tensou tries to get attention in the city while the Rangers go around looking for him, Emma on bike, Noah and Orion together, and the others on foot on their own. Emma spots Tensou looking at his reflection. Tensou mistakes a suitcase for him and when talking to it, a big man picks him up and takes him on the bus, mistaking it for his suitcase.

Emma tells this to the others, Jake is nearby and runs to catch the bus. Emma puts the suitcase on her bike and goes after the bike. Tensou remains quiet on the bus. Jake does some parkour and catches up with the bus. He enters the bus, sits next to a nice old lady, he tries to talk to Tensou but when he turns to look, the man is gone. Jake gets out but the man is lost. Jake and Emma meet, they deduce that he has forgotten who he is. Troy meets with them in the park. Jake grabs the suitcase and looks for a tag or label. Troy wants to open it. Emma is not for it, saying it doesn't belong to them.

Gia is at the mall and has spotted the man and Tensou, calling the others. Jake throws Gia the suitcase and she goes after the man to switch them. Noah and Orion spotted a monster and X-Borgs near the trains and tells Troy. They catch the X-Borgs' attention. They morph (Blue instantly to Super Mega Mode). Gia enters the elevator with the man. The man calls someone on his cellphone. Gia is unsuccessful. Jake stops him and asks him the time, he tells him but also tells him he has a watch. In the meantime, Gia switches Tensou with the suitcase. Tensou doesn't recognize them and wants help. Emma tells him to calm down. Gia says to keep him undercover. Troy gets an idea and they stuff Tensou in a stroller.

Meanwhile, Orion has gone to Mighty Morphin Green and Noah is Dino Thunder Blue and weaken the monster. They go back Super Mega and the monster disappears. Noah tells the others about the mountain the monster was headed to. At the mountain, the monster puts the Power Prism in the pyramid. Power fills the monster. Noah and Orion fight X-Borgs. The others arrive. The six transform (five as Megaforce) and fight X-Borgs. Tensou shuts down. They un-morph and tend to Tensou. Tensou remembers who he is again. Gosei calls and tells them to get to the mountain top. Noah gets Tensou on his backpack.

The monster continues powering up. The six transform once again. They take down Bruisers. Blue puts Tensou down. The five go Super Mega. The five go 'Legendary Squadron' and Orion becomes Mighty Morphin White. They then 'use the power of the Zeo Crystal' and become Zeo Rangers. They do the Dynamite Attack and take down the monster. They go back to Super Mega. The monster is still alive and he sends a ball of light into space and activate an Asteroid. Vekar makes the monster big. The rangers enter the Zords. Megzord use the Samurai and Wild force powers and make Legendary Samurai Megazord. Q-Rex Megazord also joins the battle. They use the Fire Smasher and destroy the monster once and for all. The Asteroid enters the atmosphere.

The Megazord detects the Asteroid. They use the cannon with no avail. Orion thinks and tells them to swing him and he uses his Drill attack, destroying the Asteroid. Later, Gosei thanks them for  good job. Tensou enjoys a mirror. The Rangers bid Tensou goodbye. The Froyo machine has been fixed at Brain Freeze, the Rangers find out that the man with the suitcase was the repairman. The man tells Ernie to keep an eye on the Rangers because they seem suspicious.

Review:
This episode was accidently put on Hulu Plus for three days, a week before it was to air so many fans saw it. Many fans liked this episode, saying they like the new civilian footage outdoors and more original footage. I think the title is misleading because I thought it would be the Ninja Storm episode but I guess that will be left to the "It's Always Greener or Bluer" episode according to a French website's episode descriptions. Everyone is a buzz about Dairanger being called "Legendary Squadron," I think it is just a safe generic name, to avoid calling it anything special to avert conterversary. I personally liked some parts but its a little too late, I am so disappointed by this production, there are so many parts I see they could have added new morphing footage. I feel like all episodes should have been to this caliber or even better than this and we've seen it done before with the Disney Era.

Sailor Moon Crystal - Act 5 - Makoto - Sailor Jupiter - Episode Review

Act 5 - Makoto - Sailor Jupiter
It is raining and Usagi yawns under an umbrella and Luna speaks of awareness. Usagi almost gets run over by a car and a tall girl in a tan sailor uniform and rose earrings saves her. The girl tells her to be careful and leaves. Usagi says she smelled nice. Nephrite tells Beryl he will target love. At school, Naru shows Usagi and her friend a picture of Naru in a bride dress. She says that her cousin and her groom were not present. Umiko says that maybe the groom was kidnapped as there has been missing men because of a 'Ghost Bride' at a bride shop. They notice Makoto, a teacher asks why she doesn't have her uniform and she says it doesn't fit her. Umiko says that she was kicked out of her other school for fighting.
At lunch, no one sits with Makoto and she overhears them talking about her so she moves outside where she is spotted by Usagi who likes her cooking and the purse she made herself. Makoto catches a baseball and throws it super far. Makoto and Usagi strike up a friendship. Makoto says she lives on her own and that everyone is scared of her, Usagi says they are crazy because she is a cool girl. Ami finds them at the Arcade where Makoto does well in the Sailor V game until she spots Motoki, who she says looks like her Senpai (an upper classman she loved). Usagi gives Mako-chan a nickname. Ami, Usagi and Makoto go check out the Bridal shop everyone talks about. They talk about what bridal dress they'd love, Ami wants a white kimono and Makoto says whatever her husband wants.

They go to Rei's temple where a woman prays for her boyfriend back. Rei gets an aura off Makoto and when Makoto leaves, Rei says she feels she will see her again, Luna has the same feeling. Before that, Rei says she doesn't trust men.  At night, the bride mannequin comes to life. Motoki closes up his shop and encounters the mannequin who hypnotizes him and makes him do her bidding. Makoto is walking home when she encounters Motoki, who touches her face and tells her that he loves her. Mamoru walks by and notices this and notices an evil aura around Motoki. Usagi dreams in a fog and spots Tuxedo Mask when she opens her eyes and follows him. Luna calls the others.

Usagi runs at night and spots Motoki and Mako-chan, the three girls gather and find the 'bride ghost.' She is taking energy. Usagi, Ami and Rei henshin. Moon, Mercury and Mars introduce themselves. The bride throws pedals and wind. Rei fights with fire. Nephrite appears, Luna says he is controlling her. Mako-chan realizes she was tricked. She remembers talking to her Senpai and finding out that he had a girlfriend, she felt betrayed. She then feels like love isn't worth it. Nephrite says love is superficial. Usagi corrects her and tells her love is important. She believes in love. Tuxedo Mask listens to this from a corner. Usagi pleads to Mako to listen to her. The monster attacks and eventually the three go down.

Mako flips the monster and the Jupiter symbol appears on her forehead and Luna gives her pen and she transforms into Sailor Jupiter, introducing herself. She conducts Flower Hurricane (which freezes the two) and Nephrite says she looks familiar. She then does Jupiter Thunderbolt, destroying the monster. Nephrite teleports away. The three Senshi are free. The men wake up including Motoki. Tuxedo Mask runs away, Luna wonders if he led Sailor Moon there. Jupiter explains to the others why she came to a new school, because of her Senpai. Jupiter says the wind told her of her future, she likes her new mission, that it is more important than finding love. There is a glow, the four turn around, Luna says now there is four, Sailor Moon must be the leader and she has the Moon Stick.

Next episode is about Tuxedo Mask and is named after him. Luna wonders if he is after the Crystal. Sailor Moon wonders if he is ally or an enemy.

Review:
Not perfect but a vast improvement. I feel like they stuffed every aspect of Makoto (her height, people afraid of her, her love for her Senpai, seeing her Senpai in Motoki, her cooking, and even her wanting to be a bride) in this episode in a sloppy way. But I was very happy to see Flower Hurricane! I did like that the REAL reason she elf her last school was in a flashback and kept until the last scene. I also find it interesting that we are not seeing Sailor Venus yet. The first episodes felt like they were just introducing the characters in a very manner of fact manner. I was also wondering why Nephrite was still around since he was usually killed before Jupiter was introduced but it is part of hinting on relationships between the Senshi and the Shittenou like Naoko Takeuchi's canceled plan of connecting Nephrite and Makoto.

VR TROOPERS HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY

I feel so bad that I forgot the 20th Anniversary of VR Troopers! It first aired on Saturday September 3, 1994! If you follow me on Twitter, you'd see I kept mentioning it. But I somehow confused it with my cousin's birthday, I confused the two. Also, lots of fans were doing the 21st anniversary of Power Rangers with marathons and memories and hashtagging #powerrangers21 or #pr21, I tried to make #vrt21 but it didn't seem to take. I guess there is always next year. By the way, today is also the birthday of Azim Rizk, BeyoncƩ, Jason David Frank and fellow Floridian fan Scott Finni. Yes Scott, I just mentioned you on my blog. So, I digress, going back to VR Troopers. Brad Hawkins was so excited meeting fans, he was such a delight.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce: Who counts as a Sixth Ranger?

UPDATED 6/18/17
I have recently been answering questions on Answer.fm which is inspired by Razzle Dazzle doing it. Fellow New Power Force member Eric Berry also does it. If you do ask a question anonymously, understand that I do not know who you are so if you ask a follow-up question, please do preface what the question is about. So if you want me to follow you, tell me your twitter account.
Anyway, I got a question about Magna Defender being a Sixth Ranger. And now that Bandai is releasing the Sixth Rangers as Legendary Action Heroes, there are some missing like White Dino Ranger, Silver Space Ranger, Solaris Knight, Mercury Ranger, White Rhino Ranger, RPM Gold and RPM Silver. I heard a rumor that we will be getting more Legendary Action Heroes during Dino Charge. And fans have been wanting Robo Knight to be replaced by Titanium since after Gokaiger finished or during. And since the Super Megaforce Rangers don't use keys to become Megaforce Rangers, they have to become Megaforce first and Robo Knight still exists, it comes to the awkward notion that Orion has a Robo Knight key and has it on his chest. The Japanese footage used in "Silver Lining Part 2" the rangers became Silver in honor of the new Silver Ranger, blue became "Robo Knight' but this was cut out probably because it would be weird. If it is not obvious, Super Megaforce is just using Gokaiger footage more than anything, not making a lot of new footage like Disney would.

 Green Ranger
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and has a Ranger Key. He is present in the Legendary Battle.

White Ranger
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and has a Ranger Key. We don't see Tommy in the White Ranger suit in the Legendary Battle (except for a faraway shot from Japanese footage) but Tommy does use Saba. In Super Megaforce, Orion becomes him in "The Perfect Storm."
Gold Zeo Ranger
He is one of the 15 Sixth Rangers on the Silver Ranger's Gold Armor, he does have a Legendary Action Hero toy and got a Ranger Key. He is briefly in the Legendary Battle thanks to Japanese footage. At PMC 2014, he was featured in a postcard advertising the new Ranger Keys. In Super Megaforce, Orion becomes him twice, once in "Silver Lining Part 2" and "The Perfect Storm."
Phantom Ranger
As I have said before, he was VRV Master in Carranger and not really a sixth ranger nor an extra hero, he was not included in Gokaiger (hence not on Orion's Gold Mode armor). But he was voted for Morphin Madness to have a Ranger Key by fans and a key did appear at SDCC 2014. He did get a Halloween Costume two years in a row. He was not in the Legendary Battle, most likely the suit has been lost and Saban was not going to remake it.

 Silver Space Ranger
He didn't get Legendary Action Hero but did get a Ranger Key (Toys R Us Exclusive). He is one of the 15 sixth rangers on the Silver Morpher and Armor. He did not get a Halloween costume back in 1998 for unknown reasons. He is indeed in the Legendary Battle. Orion becomes him in "Legendary Battle."
Magna Defender
Saban made Magna Defender a sixth ranger and Black Knight in Japan was sort of one but Toei counted him as an 'Extra Hero' in Gokaiger. In the US, he did get a Halloween costume. In Gokaiger, even though he does not appear on Silver's morpher or armor, Silver does get his key as Black Knight is his hero and does become him. In Super Megaforce, since they are sticking to the Japanese footage, Magna Defender is not on the Silver Ranger's Gold Armor. Now does Saban count him as a Sixth Ranger? Magna Defender does appear in the Legendary Battle in the last episode, no other Extra Heroes do not (Blue Senturion, Sentinel Knight, etc). Orion did become him briefly in the extended version of "Legendary Battle" in Super Megaforce.

In the Nickelodeon website there is a game called Power Rangers Super Megaforce: Legacy and Orion has a Magna Defender key.
Titanium Ranger
As we know, he was not in Sentai and is American only so he does not appear on Orion's morpher nor Gold Armor. None of the Super Megaforce Rangers will become him nor does he have a key on the show, BUT he does appear in the Legendary Battle. It is said Saban had to remake the costume. Power Morphicon 2014 had a special metallic key of him. He does have a Legendary Action Hero.
Quantum Ranger
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and is believed he will get a Ranger Key. He is indeed in the Legendary Battle. Orion never becomes him in Super Megaforce.
Lunar Wolf Ranger
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and is believed he will get a Ranger Key. He appears briefly in the Legendary Battle due to footage. Orion never becomes him in Super Megaforce.
Green Samurai Ranger (Ninja Storm)
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and got a Ranger Key (lighter shade of green). He appears briefly in footage of Legendary Batlte. Orion never becomes him in Super Megaforce.
White Dino Ranger
He is technically a fifth ranger in Dino Thunder but since Gokaiger treated him as a Sixth Ranger, he is on the Silver Ranger's morpher and armor, so he is consider that here. Disney kind of considered him a sixth as well as he, Lunar Wolf and Green Samurai were 'sixth rangers' at Disney World Hollywood Studios back from 2005 to 2010. He did get a Ranger Key. In 2004, he did not get a Halloween costume. He is indeed in the Legendary Battle. Orion does become him in Super Megaforce episode "United As One."
Shadow Ranger
There is confusion if he is a Sixth Ranger in both Power Rangers and Super Sentai as he was technically sixth but Omega is treated more as one. Since he is an 'Extra Hero' in Gokaiger, he will be as well in Super Megaforce. He will get a Ranger Key. He is not in the Legendary Battle. No one becomes him in Super Megaforce.
Omega Ranger
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and supposedly will get a Ranger Key. He briefly appears in the Legendary Battle. Orion never becomes him in Super Megaforce.
Solaris Knight
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he does not have a Legendary Action Hero figure and did get a Ranger Key. He briefly appears in the Legendary Battle thanks to Legacy War footage and Orion never becomes him.
Mercury Ranger
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and got a Ranger Key. He is briefly in the Legendary Battle thanks to Legacy War footage. Orion never becomes him. Only Jake and Troy become Red Operation Overdrive.
Rhino Ranger
He is technically 5th of Jungle Fury and fans were confused when he was considered a regular 5th and not 6th like White Dino but like I say to my nephew, "That's the way it is." He is briefly seen in the Legendary Battle. Emma becomes him various times.

 RPM Gold
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers. He does not have Legendary Action Hero figures. He did get a Ranger Key. The joint RPM Gold/Silver Key doesn't seem to be in the plans to be made. He didn't get a Halloween costume in 2009. He is seen briefly in the Legendary Battle due to footage and Orion becomes a joint ranger.

RPM Silver
She are one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers. She did receive a Ranger Key. The joint RPM Gold/Silver Key doesn't seem to be in the plans to be made. She did not get a Halloween costume for kids in 2009. She is briefly seen in the Legendary Battle due to footage.

Samurai Gold
He is one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers on Silver Ranger's armor, he has a Legendary Action Hero figure and supposedly will get a Ranger Key. He is indeed in the Legendary Battle. Orion becomes him in "Silver Lining Part 2."
Robo Knight
He was considered by fans as an 'Extra Hero' as he never had an identity other than himself (oh and a zord). Anyways, he is considered a Sixth in both Gokaiger and Super Megaforce. He is one of the 15 6th Rangers, has an Action Hero and has a Ranger Key. He is briefly seen in the Legendary Battle. Orion never becomes him.
