Petition: We Want Titanium Ranger and Spirit Ranger Keys Toys

UPDATED 8/19/13

I had this petition for about a couple weeks now but I didn't make a post on it. It teaches me to make a post about stuff, people don't notice stuff on the right side of the blog. I have 245 votes so far! As for the Aquitar Ranger petition, I had 169 votes and 66 members part of the facebook page. I might have to create a facebook page for this too. So we now know there will be Aquitar Ranger Keys and hopefully soon ACG cards. But what I want to push for now is Bandai America to make Ranger Keys toys for Titanium Ranger and the Spirit Rangers. And hopefully these keys will NOT be only available for the San Diego Comic Con 2014 and available for everyone.

Please sign the petition:

Speculation: Titanium and Spirit Rangers excluded in Super Megaforce

Fury Diamond says there will be no American only Power Rangers Ranger Keys, meaning there will be no Ranger Keys of Titanium Ranger, Bat Ranger, Elephant Ranger, and Shark Ranger (Spirit Ranger). They will only be using Gokaiger Ranger Keys as per the footage. Since Gokaiger, fans have wanted one of the fifteen Sixth Rangers that are represented on GokaiSilver's Gold Mode armor to be replaced with the Titanium Ranger. @CaptainDosm brings up a good point that if the issue is money, what is it to make 4 Ranger Keys?
FuryDiamond of Ranger Crew is usually right about these things. He was right about Samurai being called Super Samurai way back before it premiered, right about the Goseiger suits being primary in season two, season two being called Super Megaforce and other info. He gets most of info from an anonymous source he had for years. I used to have two sources but they have since dried up. One stopped talking to me after I spilled about Saban buying back Power Rangers in a radio podcast.

(fan made keys above)
Anyway I digress. RatherOddRanger of RangerCrew predicts that fans will freak out.  @PockyBandit  says 'who cares,' that it doesn't matter. It does matter to me and I will explain why. I am not encouraging people to freak out and neither do I believe this will make people freak out more. I think those that would freak out will freak out regardless what I do. Now it could be possible that this isn't true, that we will see the Super Megaforce Rangers transforming into Titanium Ranger and so forth. But given the recent news from former actors that Saban is paying near to nothing for them to cameo in Power Rangers Super Megaforce and other cutbacks in Megaforce itself (wardrobe, Japanese cards, etc.), I am lead to believe this. So here are my justifications on why I think they should be included:
Power Rangers vs. Super Sentai
I am not on the boat of Power Rangers and Super Sentai being completely separate entities, I am also saying that they are not the same thing but you can't have Power Rangers without Super Sentai. Titanium Ranger and the Spirit Rangers represent to me the difference between Super Sentai and Power Rangers, them reflecting American attitudes, names and styles. Titanium in itself is not a color and the names like Quantum, Mercury and so on are American incarnations that I don't think Super Sentai would go with. Super Sentai usually goes with Engrish or clunky use of English like DekaBreak, DekaBright, MagiShine, etc. I don't think we would have Break Ranger, Bright Ranger or a Shine Ranger. As for the Spirit Rangers, even though Kyoryuger has similar colors and similar premise of 'Spirit Rangers,' they have unique styles and extensions to the main 3 suits.
4 Rangers and Money issues
It would had fun to seen the Super Megaforce Rangers transform into Titanium Ranger and Spirit Rangers. Making 4 Ranger Keys doesn't sound like much money. I mean they made a bunch Ranger Keys.. granted they aren't exactly like the Gokaiger ones and they were only a few (40) repeated twice (80). Maybe the issue was recreating the suits. It can be presumed that the Spirit Ranger suits are still around since Jungle Fury was shot in 2008, only 5 years ago and they have the other Jungle Fury suits. But maybe the Titanium Ranger suit had been lost in the mix but we have seen that they still have pieces from Mystic Knights and Next Mutation. But this can also be presumed that we won't be getting a Phantom Ranger Key. In two Japanese magazines, Toei was reportedly re-shooting the Legend War for Saban. If it is true, I guess no Titanium Ranger-tachi. In my mind, why reshoot the war without them.
Bandai America toys
Now there is still hope that we get the Titanium Ranger, Phantom Ranger and other rangers in toy form. I am hoping for this too. Since we have gotten a lot of non-show stuff before (including Mammoth Ranger, T-Rex Ranger, etc. from RPM). Only time can tell what happens.

Red Hawk (Jetman) at Toys R Us.com

I usually don't post new TRU website sightings but this is special since it is the first Super Sentai product that was never Power Rangers at any point to be at Toys R Us. Shinkenger Figuarts and ShinkenOh are now available at Toys R Us but this is different.
Bandai Tamashii Nations Chojin Sentai Jetman S.H. Figuarts - Red Hawk

It is a bit pricey for me, I do want to pick it up though.

Non-Super Sentai Power Ranger Exclusive Artwork In Action Card Game Cards

When the Power Rangers Action Card Game came out, we fans (or I, on my own) assumed that the artwork was only coming from Super Sentai Dice-O (2010-now). Some cards are mixed with photoshoots of Mighty Morphin, RPM, Samurai and Lost Galaxy. But recently it has been revealed they are also using artwork from Ranger Strike (2006-now). Funny enough, American Power Rangers fans saw Ranger Strike artwork with the Power Rangers Collector Card Game back in 2008 but there was only one series and was quickly cancelled. This week Bandai America's ACG Facebook page revealed cards for Gold Samurai Ranger (Mega Mode) and Red Dragon Fire Ranger.
Red Dragon Fire Ranger is from Mystic Force only and did not appear in Mahou Sentai Magiranger. So this is new artwork exclusively made for the American card game. Red Dragon Fire Ranger is a Battlizer, which were only in Power Rangers than Super Sentai. SPD Battlizer is the only one to appear in Sentai that AFTER it appeared in Power Rangers, having appeared in Magiranger vs. Dekaranger. The SPD Battlizer did get artwork for the Rangerstrike and Dice-O cards so fans suspect we would only get those. In fact, the SPD Battlizer appeared in the CCG (2008).

I am not surprised to see Mega Mode, I figured they would make artwork for them. But it has been pointed out that the same pose of Gold was used in a Super Samurai poster--meaning it is a photo just enhanced with photoshop. I am pleasantly surprised to see the Battlizer though. Other than SPD Battlizer, I hope we get the original In Space Battlizer, Lost Galaxy Battlizer, Ninja Storm Battlizer, and Shogun Mode. I doubt we will get Lightspeed Rescue Red's because it was more of a bike-related armor but we'll see.

Los Luchadores

I am surprised I haven't mentioned this show. It obviously an acquired taste. It aired on Fox Kids Saturday Morning from February 3, 2001 – July 7, 2001 with just 14 episodes. For those who don't know Spanish, 'Los Luchadores' means 'the fighters' or also wrestlers. They are wrestler superheroes in the vain of the 1960's Batman series. They never revealed their true identities actually. It was a Canadian-American series that was produced by Saban Entertainment and Shavick Entertainment.

Theme music composers were Paul Gordon, Ron Kenan, and Shuki Levy. If you find Shuki Levy a familar name, it is because he was one of the Executive Producers of Power Rangers. Even though not completely produced by Saban Entertainment, it is like the foreign cousin of Power Rangers.

The show was campy, it wasn't so horrible though. It had three heroes: Lobo Fuerte (Maximo Morrone), Turbine (Levi James) and Maria Valentine (Sarah Carter). They fought a variety of villains.

It competely shocked to me to find this artwork for Los Luchadores, with another logo and different actors and different costumes. These Key Art/Sell Sheet/Promotional Item were designed by Lauren Alpert, who designed other promo posters for Digimon and Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and Time Force. http://www.laurenalpert.com/entertainment

What I like about the series was that Lobo Fuerte's 'Alfred' of sorts was a Black Hispanic guy who was smart and the mentor look-out in Lobo's secret cave.

Where are they are now?
Maximo Morrone
He played Lobo Fuerte. He is a former model and was acting for years. He has even been on CSI: Miami. Maximo (who modeled for Valentino and Versace) is now a professional photographer. He is still so hot!

Levi James
I had a massive crush on Turbine, who was like the plucky Robin to Lobo Fuerte. Canadian Levi James now his own rock band called Irreverents. And he is still hot! He is a brunette and obviously he had to dye his hair for the series.

Sarah Carter
She played Maria Valentine. She is a Canadian actress best known for Fallen Skies, she has also been on Dark Angel, Undeclared, CSI: NY, Smallville, and Shark. She was 20 when she was on the show.

I have this poster my nephew recovered from the rubble of all magazines I have.

Mystic Knights Battle Thunder: What Could Have Been

Mystic Knights of Tira Na Nog was made by Saban and aired from 1998 to 1999. It was the first live-action Saban series, other than Next Mutation, that did not use Tokusatsu footage. It was shot in Ireland and in Germany, it had a better different theme song than we heard in the US.  There was a rumored second season called Battle Thunder. The official logo below, so it did go enough pre-production to have a logo. Some sources say they saw prototypes for the toys and that production even started.

This website above claims to have a new Knight, Seanin, the Mystic Knight of the Swamp.

From the site: "Seanin was discovered from the same piece of scroll, that the rest of the knights were foretold in. Only one thing is different, Seanin is evil. Queen Maeve learns of him and decides that he will be perfect to fight against the good Mystic Knights. Seanin's elemental call is Death Below Me. His weapons is a wicked scimitar and his armour is steel plate and chainmail."

"Also from site: Joseph Barton, a 23 year old, was born in Atlantic City, NJ in 1975. (Meaning this was written in 1998.) He grew up in Galway, Ireland, taking an interest in fencing at the age of 10 (and eventually began a study in the arts as well.  Among his talents are irish stepdancing, singing and acting. He speaks French, plays piano and the Uillean Pipes, and has performed in several musicals in Dublin and Britain. "I haven't had any major roles," he mentions in an online interview in January, but his Mystic Knights role is sure to raise his profile a little more.  Joseph shared a few thoughts on his newest gig as Seanin, commenting "I think the writers figured Maeve didn't have a shot with 5 knights against her." He describes Seanin as "a villain.", "quite unique", with armor made of real steel instead of the fiberglass used in his castmates' costumes. "[Steel is] more evil looking I guess," says Joseph.  "..don't feel bad if you don't like my character." Seanin is apparently as evil as they come. He sounds like the kind of guy his fans will love to hate.  Look for Seanin, the Mystic Knight of Swamp to debut in the Mystic Knights of Tir-Na-Nog this fall."

And sadly, it never happened. But no knowledge if this is official. It could be fake and be online since 1998. I never saw it but I did know about the logo. As you can tell, there is very little information about Mystic Knights second season. I liked Mystic Knights even though it wasn't accurate celtic fantasy and had lots of recycled monsters from past Saban shows. Some sources has 'Death Below Me' as 'Swamps Below Me' which makes more sense. But from the picture, he doesn't look so 'swampy.'

Kevin Castro of Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad guest starred on Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills as Rick/Orion

"The Universal Hitchicker"
This has to be for me the best episode of Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills because it challenges the conventions. Orion is a sixth Ranger of sorts but the ultimate bad boy, he doesn't want to be part of the team. He had his own team and felt betrayed by Nimbar. I liked how the Sentinels, especially Drew challenged Nimbar and Rick gave her reasons to beware. No one ever questioned or resented Zordon. And not that Zordon gave any reason to, but Nimbar certainly did as he kept people in the dark. He only appeared in 1 episode, I wished he had appeared more. His teammates were Leo (Lion), Draco (Dragon) and Ursa (Bear).

Seperated at Birth: Miss America and Centaur of Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters

I know this is just a coincidence but I always found something odd about Miss America. Miss America from Battle Fever J was made in 1979 and Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills was made in 1994, but to be fair I saw TTAFFBH before I knew about Battle Fever J or even Super Sentai. I never liked the hair coming out of her mask and I think it is because of their resemblance. It is pure coincidence that they look alike since the creators of TTAFFBH probably had no idea about Battle Fever J but they just copied Power Rangers with the silver mouths and went the cheap route. The only thing they have in common is the face: blond hair, silver nose and mouth and mask, not the colors nor suit and Miss America had a jewel on her forehead. Anyway I felt like mentioning it, it is my blog after all.

Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills Episode 5 Perceptions and Episode 6

Like Billy in MMPR, Swinton has a crush on a girl but unlike MMPR, the teens give him contrary advise and might cause Swinton's life when it translates into battle, getting a scolding from the genderless Nimbar. In defense of TTAFFBH, it is a satire of MMPR, with its Zordon mentor Nimbar, sitting down villain like Zedd, giant monsters, teenagers that have secret and hides when summoned and a combination warrior in Knightron. Unlike MMPR, there is no putties or human-size form, they just go straight to giant, making it faster. And instead of a big robot, the four combine into one warrior. And they poke holes into the logic of the Zordon-teen relationship. Drew feels she was forced to be a sentinel and later, an old Sentinel comes to tell them not to trust Nimbar. Also, the Sentinels couldn't communicate with Nimbar, causing more conflict than with MMPR, where they could talk to him through their communicators.

Episode 6 deals with a Les Miserables paper that gets eaten by a monster and Drew might have to cheat, the hardest homework the Power Rangers ever had was show and tell.

Beetleborgs Third Season... Or Third Toy Line??

I can't believe I didn't do a post on this or even noticed. I think I saw the pictures once but didn't pay it mind because it looked the same as before. I'm talking about the toy line that came after Beetleborgs Metallix (the second season) which was called Beetleborgs Force. The reason there was no third season despite its popularity was because there was no third series for B-Fighters, they stopped making the series in Toei. Well, there was a sequel of sorts (B-Robo Kabutack) but it was more for smaller kids and wasn't the same so Saban opted not to use it. The two teams did appear in a Christmas special for B-Robo Kabutack but it might had been hard to explain the appearance of Kabutack and the existence of two teams. It is rumored that there was a third season planned without footage but instead Mystic Knights was created (which also was rumored to have a second season called Battle Thunder but the budget was opted to be used for Lost Galaxy).

Some of these pics are from Toku Central, I didn't know these pics existed because my site partner Mike put them up and didn't, I didn't realize the different logo. This toy line came out in the fall of 1998 even though the series stopped new episodes in the Spring of 1998. Reruns did air on UPN from Fall of 1998 to Spring of 1999.

This 'Force' line had both teams, here is just three pictures. So I think the third season wouldn't had been called 'Force.'

These two deluxe figures were based on Jansperson, a Metal Hero from 1993. He was just one hero, and not a team.

Bandai and Plex could had easily designed new suits but I guess Saban didn't think it was worth his trouble and money. The series itself was jam-packed with so much stuff like the Hillhurst monsters and the comic book store and the kids special powers, that they didn't have to do a lot of battle footage. And since they used a lot of Beetleborg monsters for Power Rangers and Mystic Knights, I'm sure they could had reused them again. They could had easily done episodes without battle scenes and concentrated more on the monsters. The road that lead to the Beetlborgs becoming Metallix took five episodes! Plus, the Mega Spectra Sector Cycles and Mega Spectra Armor were American, so they could had kept using those suits and could had brought back the White Blaster Beetleborg. Oh well, I should stop dwelling in the past.

Lord Zedd and Emperor Zurg: Seperated at Birth?

This is probably old news but I recently noticed this as I just got my nephew Toy Story 2 and I hadn't seen it in a while. Even though Emperor Zurg was mentioned in the first movie Toy Story, we didn't see him and he didn't appear until Toy Story 2. Toy Story 2 wasn't released until 1999 and Zurg appeared in the Buzz Lightyear series, which began in 2000. Lord Zedd first showed up in Power Rangers in 1995. So I believe Zurg met had been subconsciously based on Zedd. His mouth looks like an upside-down version of Zedd's mouth and he seems to have the same vision thingy Zedd has. Bandai should had follow suit and had a hole in the back of Zedd's head to see through it in red like on the show. And don't forget the 'Z' on their bodies and headquarters.
