Episode 15 of Power Rangers Samurai The Tengen Gate Description Revealed

The Tengen Gate
Octoroo wants the Red Ranger's powerful sealing symbol, so he poisons Jayden in order to get it.

According to PR On-Air Central the 15th episode of Tengen Gate is based on Shinkenger Episode 23 "Rampaging Gedoushu." They are going way too fast and they are planning the series for 2 years? And we haven't even seen the first two episodes, and there isn't that much to be revealed, judging by how by the book they are adapting, the first two will be just as bland. Episode 23 had Shitari poisoning Takeru. This is also the episode where Genta meets Juuzo, which means Antonio and Deker will meet in Episode 15 of PRS. I remember in Facebook Rick Medina said how Steven Skyler was a good actor, maybe he was talking about this episode. Episode 24 is where the Rangers get Super mode, who knows if it will happen or Jayden will get that toy Battlizer instead. Or maybe they will able to use Mega Battle in actual battle.

My point is they are skipping 2 more episodes: 21 and 22. With hat, they would have skipped 6 episodes. Which is a good because they can use the monsters from those episodes later or adapt an episode later on. Saban Brands said in Europe that they got the rights to the two Kamen Rider Decade episodes, they are skipping one episode (21) that had faint connection to Decade teamup. Maybe they are saving it for later, its not for sure they will adapt the teamup.

UPDATED 5/24/11
Episode 16 –Boxed In
When Jayden is kidnapped by Deker, the other Rangers must summon the strength to fight a mutant Nighlok without their leader.

hi my names codi.

here's what i think will happen:
they might hold off on the series and do a special showing of the first two episodes. then they might be sidetracked in doin the Power Rangers: Samurai movie.

I have zero motivation for actually watching Power Rangers Samurai. From what people are saying, it's just a shot for shot remake of Shinkenger.

I don't really understand the point in owning the rights to only those two episodes of Decade. Do they plan on using those episodes to gauge interest in the character in some bizarre attempt to bring Kamen Rider over again? Also, do you think they might use footage from The Fateful War in the adaptation of The Kyoryu Origami, or perhaps make an episode out of it? And do they really plan on making this last two years?

I think they might just use the cast for two years, but change the costumes to Goesinger or Gokaiger

I still think 2 yrs. means they'll be doing the same thing as MMPR Season 2: same cast, same suits, but use monsters and zords from Goseiger.

At this point, I think it's reasonable to presume that the two-year thing is out the window unless they are planning Year 2 to be entirely American-made episodes. I think they've used way too much of the Shinkenger mythos to make a Goseiger mutation into Samurai ala MMPR Season 2 work, and they've already burned through way too many episodes to make the original speculated 20/20 division work. Nick's seen what the ratings are like, and not only do they risk not being able to maintain them if there's a long sabbatical, but they're strong enough to make an investment into wholly American-made episodes worthwhile.

I certainly hope the "two seasons" thing is out the window. They have to start fresh, but really all that matters to Saban is the ratings are good and the toys sell, so who knows.

But the whole keeping the cast thing is so 90s. PR has evolved from that and doing that for PRS and a possible Goseiger adaptation will just continue the regression.

And Mark... yes PRS is indeed a shot for shot remake of Shinkenger... though not a good one.

the won't redo the skipped episodes you know!
i watched magiranger after mystic force; they skip the episodes which according to them might be too silly or need to be censored...

As for shot for shot remake for shinkenger(haven't seen it); the Americans always copy the Japanese version of supersentai as they have already covered the series and American programmers (animators) don't have the same skill as Japanese have.
