Super Sentai names spilling into Power Rangers

UPDATED 6/26/14
There has been Super Sentai titles or names for weapons slip into Power Rangers.

In the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993), you could clearly see the words Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger (1992) on the morphers, with American footage, they had 'Power Rangers' on it, but some footage they couldn't change it.

You could also clearly see the Zyuranger title on the Pink Ranger's power bow.

Occasionally, graphics would slip and you could see Sentai terminology. For example, here in this clip used in Power Rangers Turbo (1997), you can clearly see the word 'Bowzock' which was the name of the kind of villains the Carranger (1996) had. Carranger was their counterpart. And if you believe this is a Carranger image, look at the bottom of the screen that says 'Fox Kids.'

The gold symbol on the belt buckle for the Power Rangers in Space (1998), it is a 'M' for Denji Sentai Megaranger (1997), also the 'M' on the megazords.

And the reason the Psycho Rangers had 'N's on their buckles was because they were actually the Nejiranger of the Nejira clan.

The Quadroblaster's real name in Megaranger was the Multi Attack Rifle, I guess Saban and crew didn't think much to editing this.

Or this. Which are the Megaranger names of these weapons.

In Lightspeed Rescue (2000), we see the names of the vehicles in Kyukyu Sentai GoGo Five (1999).

The only use of a Super Sentai logo in Power Rangers was the Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger (2003) in the episode "Lost and Found in Translation" of Power Rangers Dino Thunder (2004). It was not said it was Abaranger but you could hear the Abaranger theme song in the background.

In RPM (2009), we see the word 'Go-On' on some of the weapons, the daggers of Silver and Gold and also Go-Onger on the Road Attack Zord. Go-Onger of course being Engine Sentai Go-Onger (2008). And the most obvious use of Go-Onger is on the bus Project Go-Onger.

In Power Rangers Megaforce, we see the Gosei Cards from Gosieger with the Kanji and all, even with different names of the item.

I am working on the Common Locations of Super Sentai but I need to find pictures.

Super Sentai to Power Rangers: HD Full screen to NTSC squish screen

Full Screen to Standard
In 2006, Super Sentai started being broadcast in High Definition (HD) and was in full screen. Power Rangers hasn't done this yet. NTSC is National Television System Committee, analog television. Analog signal is a continuous signal that has a time varying feature, meaning turning on or off. Anyhoo, the Super Sentai footage is squeezed or cropped for Power Rangers. We loose a bit of the action and the image looks strange when squeezed.

Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger
You can see the fire at the left and the toad monster to the right. From Episode 5 to...

Power Rangers Jungle Fury
You can see the image gets cropped for Jungle Fury, sometimes it gets squeezed. "Dance the Night Away."

GoGo Sentai Boukenger (2006)
Sometimes the use of the footage is accommodated, for example...

Power Rangers Operation Overdrive (2007)
In the episode "Once a Ranger Part 2," the footage from Episode 29 of Boukenger is seen in its full glory in the flat screen.

Other Edits
Regular orange fire in Boukenger...

became blue fire in Operation Overdrive...

Or obviously, a new character is superimposed on top of another with the help of green screen.

And most obvious, words like 'Suicide' are edited out.

Engine Sentai Go-Onger (2008) to Power Rangers RPM (2009)
Of course, in order to make the land look like it has gone through a holocaust, the Go-Onger footage was touched up. So the lush green fields of Japan became a desolated wasteland.

I know there were more edits done in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers but I may cover then later when the episodes re-air. I just wanted to point out some edits and crops from the full screen HD to Power Rangers.

Poll Results: Which of these Red Rangers deserved a Battlizer?

After a month or so, 163 people voted for which of these Red Rangers should get a Battlizer. I didn't put Tommy or Jason on the poll because they would have been too obvious and taken over the poll basically. I think I got a better and fair estimate out of the poll.

Scott won 55 out of 163.
Which are the toy armors should he have gotten? Moto-Morph or Guardian?

And in second, Rocky got 30 out of 163, I agree. If it was only Tommy, Jason and Rocky, Rocky would have been third.

Casey was third and got 25 out of 163.
Which of the toy armors should he have gotten?

TJ (Turbo) got 24 votes
Cater (Lightspeed Rescue) got 17
Aurico (Aquitar Rangers) got 7
Charlie (SPD A-Squad) got 5

Pink and Yellow Battlizers?

Like every non-Red Ranger Battlizer, it happened in toys. Since Power Rangers in Space, Blue, Green and Black Rangers got battlizers too but didn't appear on the show. Girls did get some special armor in the toys but it only happened in two season toylines.

With In Space, the Pink and Yellow Rangers got Astro Armor. There were really rare since they were the only 8 inch figures with armors. There were also the 'Lunar Power Rangers' but they all looked like the Robo Voyager, just in different colors (all six including Pink and Yellow). And then later in the Lost Galaxy toy line, there were 4 inch tall Explorer Power Rangers that came in the Fall toyline. The Explorer Rangers had special armor with the symbols of their visors were on their chests and the Magna Defender had his own as well. They each had special weapons and cool action features. They are the only 4 to 5 inch female figures to have armor.

Wouldn't it be cool if at least one female Ranger would get a Battlizer on the show? Oh well. I guess these toys did not sell at all, so Bandai America decided not to make any like them ever again.
