Super Sentai 90's - Destined or Handpicked?

Which teams were handpicked or were destined to become Rangers? Destiny is that they were chosen by 'god' or higher powers, but what I mean by 'handpicked' is if picked out by an organization or person.

 HANDPICKED
 Zyuranger
They were each from different tribes but they were picked from each tribe. Except for Burai who went for revenge.

Ohranger
They were all selected as they were UAOH.

Carranger
They were handpicked by Dappu.

 Megaranger
Kenta was selected after being good at playing a video game. Kouichirou, Shun, Chisato, and Miku impressed Kubota by combining their signature digital electronics to over-ride the hacked security system. Silver was part of INET. Info thanks to ThatChick.

DESTINY
 Gingaman
The five took out swords and were destined to be warriors.

 LINEAGE

 Dairanger
They were children of past Dairanger and chosen. Kou got the sword out of the rock as he was destined to.

 Kakuranger
Each were destined and from families I think.  I might be wrong, correct me nicely.

PARENTS CHOSEN

 Fiveman
Their parents left them their powers.

 GoGoV
Their dad chose them and gave them their arsenal.

RANDOM
 Jetman
Red was assigned but everyone else got their birdwaves by accident.

Timeranger
Four of them were randomly chosen by villain Lira, who was disguised as their captain. They needed five to activate it and picked Tatsuya who looked just like the Captain. Naoto got his powers by his sure will.

Power Rangers: Destiny or Handpicked?

Which teams were handpicked or were destined to become Rangers? Destiny is that they were chosen by 'god' or higher powers, but what I mean by 'handpicked' is if picked out by Zordon or a person, like Mr. Hartford or Captain Mitchell.

DESTINED
Lost Galaxy
The team took out swords from a rock and it means it was destiny, they were chosen by some old mystical force.

Wild Force
The team were handpicked but were destined through the Power Animals or something liek that, they were meant to, long ago.

Dino Thunder
Tommy chose the teens, supposedly they were destined or picked from the Dino Gems.

HANDPICKED
MMPR
Zordon handpicked them, or rather Alpha 5 pressed some buttons and 5 teens that were next to each other were teleported there. Rita picked a new kid. Then 3 ninja students that became their friends were picked too. And another teen that Rita handpicked became a ranger. Tanya was a random thing.

Turbo
Each leaving Ranger Tommy, Adam, Tanya and Kat handpicked their successor Ashley, TJ, Cassie and Carlos.

 In Space
Justin got chosen by Zordon (for whatever reason, mostly because he found out their identity), and we are expected to believe that Andros and Zhane were also chosen by Zordon.

Lightspeed Rescue
Captain Mitchell handpicked this team because of their different skills.

SPD
Even though the rangers decided to join SPD, they were selected by Doggie to be a team.

Mystic Force
Udonna picked the five, the others were born Mystic Titans or magicians.

Operation Overdrive
They were all chosen by Hardford.

Jungle Fury
They were chosen by Master Mao.

RPM
Dr. K hand selected everyone, except for Ziggy of course... or did she? Gem, Gema and Dr. K were chosen by whatever government it was that made them, Alphabet Soup, right?

RANDOM/NO CHOICE
Ninja Storm
The trio were the last ones left and they had no choice but supposedly Sensei picked them.

Time Force
Four of them chose to be cops and chose to come to 2001, they weren't asked to and took the morphers. Wes, didn't really choose it as he had to have his DNA of Alex.

LINEAGE
Samurai
They were chosen as their families fought before. Emily had to take the spot of her sister. Even though there were teams before that had past rangers like Lost Galaxy, Wild Force and Mystic Force, these Samurai Rangers were related to past Rangers.

Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills Episode 5 Perceptions and Episode 6

Like Billy in MMPR, Swinton has a crush on a girl but unlike MMPR, the teens give him contrary advise and might cause Swinton's life when it translates into battle, getting a scolding from the genderless Nimbar. In defense of TTAFFBH, it is a satire of MMPR, with its Zordon mentor Nimbar, sitting down villain like Zedd, giant monsters, teenagers that have secret and hides when summoned and a combination warrior in Knightron. Unlike MMPR, there is no putties or human-size form, they just go straight to giant, making it faster. And instead of a big robot, the four combine into one warrior. And they poke holes into the logic of the Zordon-teen relationship. Drew feels she was forced to be a sentinel and later, an old Sentinel comes to tell them not to trust Nimbar. Also, the Sentinels couldn't communicate with Nimbar, causing more conflict than with MMPR, where they could talk to him through their communicators.

Episode 6 deals with a Les Miserables paper that gets eaten by a monster and Drew might have to cheat, the hardest homework the Power Rangers ever had was show and tell.

Sailor Moon has slowly made a return outside of Japan

I know I usually discuss live-action here in Henshin Grid, but I know I will get more hits if I post this here than postin this on my regular blog Spanengrish Ramblings. Some Toku fans are Sailor Moon fans. I've been a fan since its American premiere in 1995 and went through the ups and downs of the show DiC version being canceled, being left with a cliffhanger between Sailor Moon R, then years later Cloverway dubbing the series. Anyway, now Sailor Moon has name recognition and 2012 is soon the 20th anniversary in Japan since the first Manga issue came out on Kondasha in 1992.

Few months ago, Kondasha US announced the Manga would be re-published in America and Sailor V and Sailor Moon 1 came out in September. Also, Great Eastern has listed trading cards, notebooks, stickers and other items to 'come soon.' Toei took away the license in 2001 for the US and stop airing the Anime series in the US. Now Toei has been slowly letting go the license all over the world. For example in Italy, they have been re-airing the Anime series and coming out with new merchandise and dolls. In Mexico, DVDs of the dubbed series will soon be released, including menus with the Mexican voice actresses (like the one that did the original Lisa Simpson voice in Mexico). The Italian, Mexican and new US merchandise have a new logo (which is the one above), which is not the one that DiC used.
New T-shirts have been coming out at Hot Topic, so far for women. Hot Topic has announced men sizes to come soon. I am sure to get one! They are from Hyper Apparel. Other than the Manga, nothing has been announced YET about the Anime in the USA. So maybe in 2012 I suppose, there will be new stuff. Merchandise is great because it grows the brand and I think that judging by the sales of the merchandise, it would encourage Toei to releasing more like DVDs. What I would love more would be better dolls than what Bandai America came out with and what would be more awesome would be re-dubbing the original Anime. But most likely Toei and DiC will release the original North American dub on DVD. What I would love more for 2012 is Toei doing a new Anime series reboot and then dub that in America. I would love to see it on Adult Swim at 9pm.

Hot Topic also has the costume for $60. $60??!! I would not pay that much, if I was a woman, for the above costume. If a wig came, it would be better. Also, Noah Berlatsky of The Atlantic has written an article asking if Sailor Moon can break up the male Superhero club and also mentions Wonder Woman and Buffy, who both currently have comic book titles out. I love Sailor Moon but they couldn't break the boy's club in 1995 and I doubt she could do it again, but Sailor Moon now has name recognition, so who knows? More soon!

Shinkenger SH Figuarts at Toys R Us America

The SH Figuarts are being sold on Toys R US Online (even though currently sold out) and supposedly in stores even though I haven't seen any in my area of South Florida. I got the heads up from Jonathan Buchanan. So now they are just selling Shinken Red and Shinken Gold. This is great and I hope this continues. I wouldn't personally buy it, I would be more inclined towards Princess Shinken Red but I doubt that being sold ever, but we will see.

Speaking of SH Figuarts, CD Japan is also selling GokaiSilver SH Figuarts.
