The Nuremberg International Toy Fair is from January 29th to February 3, 2014. The New York Toy Fair is February 16 to 19, 2014. Hopefully some of these items and more will appear at the New York one.

 Razzle compares the Deluxe GouZyuJin with the DX Dino Megazord as the presenter there says it is a prototype from Japan. It is most likely the Power Rangers version.

 5 inch Legendary Figures

 Present on this stand above was MMPR Red, Super Megaforce [Red (3), Blue (1), Green (1), Yellow (2), Pink (2)], Megaforce (Black, Blue, Red), Samurai (Red, Blue, Green), Lost Galaxy (Red (2), Blue, Green), Lightspeed (Red (2), Blue, Green), Mystic Force (Red (2), Green), Wild Force (Red (2), Black, Blue), SPD (Red (2), Blue, Green), Red Time Force, Red Ninja Storm, and Red Zeo. I didn't spot Yellow Mystic Force or any other MMPR, Time Force, Zeo or Ninja Storm. Maybe they were lodged in other items.

The bazooka on the lower left corner has two blue, two red and one green key in it.

Super Sentai Color Patterns

I just covered similarities and differences in color and team member numbers through the decades, but I want to cover this unspoken rules of colors for teams and team numbers. These do vary.

Teams start with 3, 5 years apart, unconventional colors

2002 - Hurricanger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Crimson, Navy, Green; Started with 3 and unconventional colors are Crimson and Navy.

2007 - Gekiranger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Violet, White; Started with 3 and unconventional colors are Violet and White as an additional ranger. 2002 and 2007 are 5 years apart obviously.

2012 - Go-Busters: Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver; Started with 3 and unconventional colors are Gold and Silver as fourth and fifth instead of sixth and seventh. 2007 and 2012 are 5 years apart obviously.

 Teams start with 5 and conventional colors after unconventional ones in groups of three

1998 - Gingaman: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink
1999 - GoGoV: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink
2000 - Timeranger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink
These three had these same colors, four years later there was Dekaranger. But granted, they didn't come after an unconventional one.
2004 - Dekaranger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink

 2005 - Magiranger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink

2006- Boukenger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, and Pink
These three came after the unconventional Abaranger and Hurricanger, they started with 5 and had conventional colors.

2009 - Shinkenger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink
2010 - Goseiger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, and Pink
2011 - Gokaiger:  Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink

Goseiger is 4 years apart from Boukenger to have the same color scheme, in fact both had Silver Rangers. Shinkenger, Goseiger and Gokaiger all came in a row and had conventional colors and came in after Go-Onger that started with 3 and didn't have a Pink Ranger.
2014 - Tokkyuger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink
It is expected the next seasons will start with 5 members and have either green or black with pink and yellow rangers.

Slightly unconventional colors after completely unconventional season, 5 years apart
2003 - Abaranger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, White; Not completely unconventional, in fact same colors as Gaoranger but Abaranger started with 3 and ended with 5. It came after Hurricanger.
2008 - Go-Onger: Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, Green; Not completely unconventional but the last team to have this color scheme was Liveman in 1988, about 20 years apart. It then had not only one metallic color but two: Gold and Silver. It came after Gekiranger.
2013 - Kyoryuger: Red, Blue, Pink, Black, Green; Not completely unconventional but it had no Yellow Ranger, the first to do so since Changeman. It came after Go-Busters.

 

Silver Rangers for anniversary Seasons
2001 - Gaoranger, celebrated 25 season, had GaoSilver
2006 - Boukenger, celebrated 30 years, had BoukenSilver
2011 - Gokaiger, celebrated 35 years, had GokaiSilver

Comparing Team Colors, Member Numbers and Patterns A Decade Later

There are some patterns that have emerged in Super Sentai with the colors for the core team and how many members start with. This started in the last decade and not in the 90's. That is why I am not comparing the nineties. I am using the Super Sentai names because they are the ones that started and are one year apart and not like Power Rangers that now differ from two years to three years. Most noticed that 2002 Hurricanger and 2003 Abaranger started with 3 members, 2004-2006 stuck to main 5, then 2007 Gekiranger started with 3 again and Go-Onger technically started with three. 2009-2011 stuck again to main 5 and normal colors. Then 2012 Go-Busters started with three.

 2000 and 2010

Timeranger and Goseiger

Timeranger started with 5 and Goseiger started with 5. Timeranger has Red-Blue-Yellow-Pink-Green while Goseiger had Red-Blue-Yellow-Pink-Black. Timeranger had a Red Sixth Ranger which hasn't happened since. Goseiger had a Silver Sixth. The last team that was Red-Blue-Yellow-Pink-Black-Silver was in 2006 with Boukenger.

2001 and 2011

Gaoranger and Gokaiger

Gaoranger started with 5 and Gokaiger started with 5, both ended with 6. Both had Silver Sixth Rangers.  Gaoranger has Red-Blue-Yellow-White-Black while Gokaiger has Red-Blue-Yellow-Pink-Green. Funny thing is Gokaiger has more similar colors with Timeranger. Goseiger would have had similar colors to Gaoranger if it wasn't for GaoWhite.

 2002 and 2012

Hurricanger and Go-Busters

Both series start with 3 and both cause unconventional color choices in different orders. Hurricanger also has this in common with Gekiranger. Hurricanger ended with 6 while Go-Busters ended with 5. I am not counting Black Puma and Green Hippo from Go-Busters special. Hurricanger has Red-Blue-Yellow-Crimson-Navy-Green and Go-Busters had Red-Blue-Yellow-Gold-Silver.

 2003 and 2013

Abaranger and Kyoryuger

Both are Dinosaur-based but color-wise, they differ. Other than obvious dino differences such as Pterandon going from Yellow to Gold and Triceratops going from Blue to Pink. Also every color under the sun except for Yellow and Orange. Abaranger started with 3 and ended with 5. Kyoryuger started with 5 and eventually ballooned to 10 (even though we've seen so many variations ending in 20 warriors). Abaranger had Red-Blue-Yellow-Black-White and Kyoryuger with Red-Blue-Pink-Green-Black-Gold.

2004 and 2014

Dekaranger and Tokkyuger

Dekaranger started with 5, Tokkyuger as well, Dekaranger ended with 8 (technically we saw 10) and Tokkyuger is rumored to have 9. Both started with the traditional Red-Blue-Yellow-Pink-Green.
