Mighty Morphin Power Ranger Girls Merchandise 1993-1995

Nowadays there is Mighty Morphin Power Rangers retro T-shirts for women, but now for kids, there is ZERO merchandise for girls (currently). But back in the height of popularity of the Power Rangers, there was A LOT of merchandise centered around the Yellow and Pink Rangers. The only thing girls get these days is Halloween costumes. Toys have been reduced to one or two figures of each girl ranger a year, depending if they have a power-up.

Power Ranger for Girls Dolls
Power Ranger for Girls figures came out in 1994, Trini and Kimberly was sold seperately and then in a pack (above). Later, Aisha came on her own and then in a pack with Kimberly. Then a movie set wit both of them. There was also a carrying case playset and a Mini Worlds. The Pink Ranger Mini World came in a teal case with bedroom, Juice Bar and other scenes; along with Kimberly, Rocky, and Tenga figurines. The Yellow Ranger Mini World included Aisha, Adam and Rita Replusa figures with accessories. They planned to do dolls for PRZ but it never happened.

They made big plush figures, of all the Rangers including Pink and Yellow.

They made walkie-talkies of Pink and Yellow for Girls, they have continued making walkie-talkies for Power Rangers up to RPM, this is the only girl one.

They even made girls shoes and slippers. They no longer do this.

Here are Power Rangers girl invitations with the Pink and Yellow Rangers, Power Rangers invitation and party stuff have never been done for girls ever again.

I couldn't find pictures of the t-shirts, pajamas, and other merchandise there was only for girls. I remember my niece had Pink Ranger pajamas back in 1994. Like I have said before, higher-ups of Bandai America believe girl toys won't sell well. I really wish Saban Brands turns it around and brings back merchandise for girls because girls really do like the Power Rangers. Many little girls dress up as Rangers for Halloween. In some cases, little sisters would want to play along with their brothers who love Power Rangers. I think if they made the dolls again and had them in the girls section, sales would be decent. Because then what is the point of having girl Rangers at all? I think Power Rangers appeals to both boys and girls.

Female Hime Shinken Red in Merchandise

Bandai Japan has not made a female Shinken Red figure, and strangely there has been no new Girls in Uniform figures (I hope it has not been discontinued) but there are some pieces of Shinkenger merchandise that has the lady Shinken Red / Princess Karou.

She got the cover of this DVD selection, I am not sure which volume it is, it is either the finale or penultimate DVD.

Shinken Red with a skirt has a Dice-O card. I want this card so bad. It is just titled 'Shinken Red.'

Hence having a card, she appears in Super Sentai Battle: Dice-O video game.

Princess Shinken Red Figuarts

The picture below is strictly fan-made:
Above picture has two male Shinken Red toys, both in regular and super mode. The female Shinken Red figure above however is a fan creation, the person took the Shinken Red helmet and put it on a Shinken Pink body and repainted it red. This is what I suspect Power Ranger fans might do with the Power Ranger Samurai figures if Bandai America does not release a female Shinken Red. It could be as easy to make like that for them, use the female mold and attached a Red Ranger head and sell it in a set. According to my poll, the most popular idea with fans is to release the said figure along with 4 other figures, preferably blue, yellow, green and pink.

Power Rangers at Brand Licensing Europe 2010

The Brand Licensing Europe Expo 2010 was this week and Saban Brands was present. They had the five original Power Rangers in costumes and a banner with the original team saying 'classic icons' and on the bottom 'new heroes' with the Samurai team.

The following pictures taken by Espio the Chameleon/devletbek, a member of Rangerboard:

Espio the Chameleon/devletbek says there were Power Rangers 2010 toys there but was not allowed to take pictures. He spoke to Saban Brands President Elie Dekel and of course he could not reveal a lot but DVD boxsets could be in our future. It is under negotiation who will have the DVD distribution rights. A feature film depends on the reception of the PR return, even if it isn't as successful as it was in 1993, they might still go on with the film plans. The new season will start in August of 2011 in Europe, only having one guess it will be much earlier in the U.S.

The article below says: "Saban and its agent network is out in force at Brand Licensing Europe this week as part of its work to reintroduce the new Power Rangers product for Autumn 2011 with further product roll-out planned for Spring 2012." Those dates are for Europe, not the United States and Canada.

As for Kamen Rider Decade, devletbek was able to get this, this is paraphrased and not a quote: We are evaluating possible plans which may strengthen the Power Rangers brand and I have been told that footage of a crossover between the source footage of Kamen Rider and the source footage of Power Rangers has been acquired, whether it will be used within the series or saved for a possible DVD special is as of yet unknown as there are still license negotiations underway.

BLE 2010 Saban draws grand global Power Ranger plan

Here is the video, it has MMPR the movie footage with other PR seasons and in the end, Shinkenger footage and the Samurai logo.

Power Rangers Samurai Toy Names for Pre-Order at Toy Wiz

My buddy Linear Ranger found this morning that Toy Wiz has added pre-order names and links for Power Ranger Samurai toys. What people are considered about is that it says 'Pre-Order Ships May.' For years, since Turbo or In Space I think, we have gotten new toy line of the new season before Christmas (November, December). I think for sure we will be seeing the toys by December Maybe ToyWiz won't be getting them by May. Some one said they thought the series will begin airing February, most new seasons started in February but the official statement is 'Coming Soon in 2011.' That could even mean October 2011 for example. We never know.

Dukemon22 also brought this to everyone's attention at Rangerboard: http://www.toywiz.com/celestialsquadronpowerrangers.html Perhaps, they are thinking ahead and putting a placeholder name 'Celestial Squad' but I don't think there will be anything more to that than in next year.

Let's Look over the toys....
Power Rangers Samurai 4 Inch Action Figures
We are not surprised at the 4 inch figures, since last year MMPR started the 4 inch style. In a poll I did, fans said they would buy 4 inch figures. They won't match with the RPM but for sure with the MMPR figures. Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink. Strange enough on ToyWiz, Red and Blue are listed at $7.99; Green is $8.99 for some reason and the girl are already overpriced--Pink and Yellow at $16.99.

Power Rangers Samurai 4 Inch Action Figure ESA Nanashi
'ESA' stands for Evil Space Aliens. Nanashi was the name for the Shinkenger footsoliders. It is unknown if the name will be kept, but the Rinshi of Jungle Fury did keep their names from Gekiranger.

Power Rangers Samurai Vehicle & Figure Set Beetle Zord with Green Ranger
Above is the Bandai Japan toy of the Kabuto Origami. Could Bandai America be selling them separately this time with a figure? By the price of $14.99, it looks like that. The Green Ranger was in charge of the Beetle in Shinkenger.

Power Rangers Samurai Vehicle & Figure Set Tiger Zord with Red Ranger
Above is the Bandai Japan toy of the Tora Origami. The Red Ranger was in charge of the Tiger in Shinkenger.

Power Rangers Samurai Cycles & 4 Inch Figure Set
Red Cycle with Red Ranger and Blue Cycle with Blue Ranger; $18.99 seems like a lot for one bike.

Power Rangers Samurai 6.5 Inch Morphin' Action Figures
So far ToyWiz has Red and Blue, but I am sure we will be getting at least Green. It is not clear if it is morphing into the actor face or morphing into a zord.

Power Rangers Samurai 6.5 Inch Morphin' Action Figure Red Ranger [Warrior Mode]
The first battlizer toy.

More soon!
