Stage Show and Public Appearance Helmets

I think I mentioned this before but I decided to go over this, how different costumes and helmets are for public appearances than on for the show. Most of them have holes inside the visors, which is not seen on the show and it is probably because the people in the suits have to be in there for extended periods of time and it can be hot in there, so it is ventilate them. Granted, most public appearances are just less than two hours but you never know.

POWER RANGERS
Above Ranger Green costume is from Disney World Hollywood Studios, which later is seen with Saban at the Licensing Expo. You can see tiny holes on the white part of his helmet.

You can see tiny holes on White Dino Ranger's helmet.

Licensing Expo recently.

Time Force Pink seemed to have a part of the visor to be clear and have another part withe holes behind the visor.

The recent Samurai Ranger suits for public appearances have holes in the visors.

POWER RANGERS OVERSEAS
Operation Overdrive Ranger with holes in visor.

SUPER SENTAI
Gokaiger helmets with holes in visors.

Zyuranger stageshows, holes in helmets and cuffs are different.

Also the buckles were of cheaper quality.

GoseiBlack with holes in visor.

DekaBreak above, they don't always use the ones with holes.

Poll Results: New Red Ranger?/King Ranger Debate/Transformers Off-Topic

If things change around for season 2 of Samurai, who would you want as the Red Ranger other than Jayden and Lauren?
Mike
76 (24%)
Kevin
29 (9%)
Antonio
48 (15%)
Emily
31 (10%)
New Guy
208 (67%)
This notion was inspired by the fact that the stunt actor that played Shinken Red went on to play Gosei Blue and Shinken Green went on to play Gosei Red, being significantly shorter than past Red Rangers. So if Goseiger is adapted for Samurai with the Samurai cast, the Red Ranger would look shorter, causing me to ask this poll, if fans would want Mike (Green) but apparently fans want a new cast.

In Episode 18, do you think GokaiSilver becoming King Ranger is...
A reference to the kanji on his helmet
168 (57%)
A reference that he was the Gold Ranger in PR
82 (28%)
Both
92 (31%)
Neither

Off-Topic: Who's the coolest Transformer?
Optimus Prime
155 (75%)
Bumblebee
53 (25%)
Arcee
26 (12%)
Starscream
37 (17%)
Megatron
41 (19%)
Soundwave
44 (21%)
This poll was inspired by a Entertainment Weekly Online poll in which most fans picked Optimus Prime as well.

Full time (97 votes; 34%)
As a Ranger (46 votes; 16%)

What Color Ranger would you want Skull to be if he was to be a Power Ranger: Silver (102 votes; 40%)

Red (34 votes; 13%)
Green (64 votes; 25%)
Blue (31 votes; 12%)
Black (92 votes; 36%)
Silver (102 votes; 40%)

Frankly, the latter three results were unexpected to me. No offense if my following opinions about the results are...well offensive against your votes. Well, both Skull posts are different from what I expected, although is having him appear in samurai for one or two episodes better than a whole season? But what I find interesting is how much you want Justin to be Gosei Red more than Gokai Red. Honestly, getting him to be the prior would be harder to write than the latter. But what is even more interesting, is that you want him to not appear at all, rather than be gokaired.

It just so happens that Blake, Jason and I, are working on a peliminary script to propose to saban. We are formulating it carefully to get around all the Cons of adapting the season, particularly canon and having footage with the 34 teams. It started with having Blake be the red ranger (which is the jumping off point in the brain-storm).

While trying to work on a general idea of what the main cast would be like, and thought not only should Skull come back, but also mix things up by having him be a ranger, because not only is green perfect for his character, but also Skull kinda deserved it.

We didn't have anything in mind for Cyberon (Barizorg), but after watching a parody video made by Jason Chan, I thought it would be cool if he came back, only to find that it was a perfect saban-esque idea to have cyber-cam be the adaptation for Sid (barizorg's human form). needless to say, he accepted.

What however was in our original brainstorm, is have an actor/actress of an old-school villain to come back as a new villain. It was obvious we were all thinking of Goodson as Insarn. After some time waiting for an answer, we are proud to say that as of thursday, we got our actress for Insarn.
We are still in a "fan-fic" phase, but are actually making some progress, and are confident it would pull through. I thank you for your moral support, but please don't send tag requests on face book, because we are not look for audition canditates until after the proposal.

lastly, in case if there's no free wifi in Israel, I would like to give props to Lavender Ranger for the awesome patriotic banner....

...and to the readers, have a morphin' aquatian summer vacation!

UK martial arts ace as Red Ranger for London 2012 Olympics

The 20-year-old British Taekwondo champion Aaron Cook from Dorset was rated as one of Team GBs strongest gold medal hopefuls for next year at the ExCel Centre, is keen to emulate his European Championship success in front of his home fans in 2012. And in a bid to raise his profile ahead of the Games. Cook has become the first ever honourary member of the popular kids TV show.

Cook will be exhibited in front of hundreds of Olympics fans at London's Westfield Shopping Centre on Friday - as a real-life action figure to mark the launch of the new Power Rangers Samurai. 'I’m hoping that by joining the Power Rangers I’ll help to inspire British children to follow in my footsteps, which will hopefully include a medal at the London 2012 Olympics,' said Cook. 'I was mad about Power Rangers as a kid so my parents took me to a local Taekwondo club in Dorchester where I fell in love with the sport. The rest, as they say, is history.'

I personally think this is the best idea ever. The box was a 9 to 10 feet tall replica toy box.

Sixth Rangers: Let's Get Shiny!

Dukemon22 may not remember this but he once told me that the reason that most of the Sixth Rangers were silver or gold or metallic colors was for Toei to show off something shiny to sell toys. Come to think about it in a business standpoint, if kids bought the new Sentai toys in February, there would be a lull in May or the summer, so they put something new to get them buying more toys. Here are the shiniest of the Sixth Rangers. The only ones I don't cover here are Time Fire/Quantum Ranger, Abare Killer/White Dino Ranger and Deka Break/Omega Ranger.

Dragon Ranger / Green Ranger
He was green, not that shiny but he had a big shiny gold shield, which is very memorable to fans.

Kiba Ranger / White Ranger
He was white but sure had a lot of gold, the shield, the belt, helmet, cuffs and even his sabre.

King Ranger/Gold Ranger
Come on, we mostly remember him as the 'Gold Ranger' because of all the gold he wore. Toei counts him as a Black Ranger as his name was not 'Gold' in Sentai.

Mega Silver/Silver Ranger
He was the first fully metallic Ranger in Sentai, he was the first and not last of the Silver Rangers.

Titanium Ranger
Bandai America/Saban chose to make their own Ranger without Super Sentai counterpart, they could had chosen any color they wanted (that wasn't the main 5) so it could had been White, Black, Purple, whatever, but they chose Silver-y Titanium. This could support the theory that shiny metallics are the way to go for Sixth Rangers, the majority of them are metallics.

Gao Silver/Lunar Wolf Ranger
Second Silver Ranger in Sentai, he had some dark blue/indigo in his suit but with gold.

Shurikenger/Green Samurai Ranger
He was Green but he definitely had more gold than Dragon Ranger.

Deka Master/Shadow Ranger
Even though he had Black and blue-ish armor, the blue-ish armor was shiny. He's an Extra Hero but there was a lot of toys made of him and he sure is shiny and some people do count him as Sixth.

Magi Shine/Solaris Knight
The shiniest of them all, he had a blue suit but you could barely see it with its gold armor.

Bouken Silver/Mercury Ranger
He was shiny even though he had black, even his blue accents were metallic and shiny.

Go-On Gold and Go-On Silver/Ranger Gold and Ranger Silver
I remember a cousin said they looked like Duracell batteries, because they were shiny.

Shinken Gold/Gold Ranger
Blue was a welcoming change to counterbalance the gold, instead of black. Because now seeing the Gold Mega Ranger in Samurai with black, the black made him look duller than with the blue.

GoseiKnight
Pretty shiny, we regarded him as a gold-silver-black Extra Hero but he is considered as a Silver Ranger in Sentai.

GokaiSilver
He coined the phrase 'Let's Get Shiny' for Super Sentai. The 10th truly shiny Sixth Ranger and the seventh Silver Ranger (including DekaBright).

Now we know how they link the buckle to the treasure trunk.

Gai can't decide between the two keys: Go-On Silver or Go-On Gold.

He is sent to a white space and they mime (don't talk).

He asks for help from all 15.
