Power Rangers Megaforce for 2013-2014 Announced

The reason the post took so long was because I was waiting for the logo. The name Megaforce and Ultra Megaforce were copyrighted last year. 4 days ago, it was confirmed it will be the name and that it will last 2 years on Nickelodeon (22 episodes reported for 2013 and another 22 for 2014). Thanks to Ranger Crew for the logo and poster!

"Power Rangers Megaforce introduces a plot line that is sure to captivate audiences with exciting new characters, villains, and high-octane action. The new series features Gosei, a supernatural guardian who for centuries, has protected the earth with his robotic aide, Tensou. But when the evil Warstar aliens begin their massive invasion, Gosei calls upon five teenagers with attitude to form the ultimate team...the Power Rangers Megaforce! In addition to defending earth against the Warstar aliens, other monstrous factions emerge to challenge the Megaforce Rangers. Under the leadership of a malevolent alien, toxic beasts rise from their slimy underground lair to attack the Earth and a ruthless robot army launches an offensive from their deep sea compound. In order to face these new threats, the Power Rangers Megaforce unlock powerful battle modes to fight their adversaries."

"Power Rangers continues to delight fans of all ages, even nearly 20 years after it was first introduced to kids across the world," said Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands."

Ira Mayer reported on his Twitter:
"Saban Brands acquiring the 4Kids Saturday morning Kids TV block subject to court approval."
Saban Brands first went after the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, so it seems that they want CW4Kids and it may or may not air on theCW. Nickeldeon seems to have them in a lock to show for 2 years. So if they move to 4kids, they don't have to do one theme for two years.

Power Rangers Megaforce has Red, Blue, Black, Pink and Yellow Rangers. They use cards in their morphers. They have zords Dragon, Shark, Snake, Phoenix and Tiger.

So it seems that with Goseiger being adapted for 2013 and 2014 and that Toei was reshooting the Legacy War, it seems it will be held over for 2015 when mostly likely they will adapt Gokaiger. It seems they have no choice but to adapt Sentai seasons and can not skip one. Fans are speculating that if Power Rangers is transferred to 4KidsTV and that Gokaiger is adapted for 2015, it hopefully be only one year. While Gokaiger made more sense for a 20th anniversary, they would have 19 teams for 2015.

"It sounds like they're trying to recapture lightning in a bottle and set up a premise akin to the original Mighty Morphin series with "five teenagers with attitude". I got a chuckle out of the presumably Zordon-esque mentor named Gosei, but I'm hoping his "robotic aide" Tensou is either an original component or else based on Gosei Knight. Brining in Datas would just be asking for trouble."

Lavender Ranger's thoughts of the logo:
The poster is really awesome. But the 'Megaforce' part of the logo's font is too generic, it reminds me of the logos they use in bootleg merchandise. I remember a fan saying that the title reminded them of a bootleg toy. Interesting that the Korean 'Power Rangers Miracle Force' logo looks better.
