Power Ranger Boy: Steve Cardenas

Stephen Antonio Cardenas is best known as Rocky, who replaced Jason as the Red Ranger.

Cardenas was born at Langley Air Force Base, in Hampton, Virginia, U.S. and is of half Mexican descent.

Cardenas started training in martial arts when he was about 12 years old.

He has said in interviews that he was asked in 2001 to join in the Forever Red episode of Wild Force. Linkara says he was moving so couldn't do it. One rumor is that he was to be the Red Ninja Ranger, another rumor was he was to be Tommy's butler.

He became the Zeo Ranger III Blue, where it was revealed his grandfather was Mexican.

Cardenas left the Power Rangers series at the beginning of the Turbo season, after he was really injured while filming the last episode of Power Rangers Zeo.

He looks kind of guilty here.

Steve didn't decline "Forever Red." He was asked and he agreed to do it but when it came time to film he was in the process of moving. No one could contact him so they had to do it without him. So it was an unfortunate circumstance that led to him not being in the episode.

Ron, is that from Linkara or did you hear that secondhand from Steve?
