#PowerMonth: More Ninja Turtles Rangers

Michangelo and April O'Neal Rangers were revealed yesterday.

And today Raphael/Tommy 2-pack was revealed. This is based on the Power Rangers/Ninja Turtles crossover in the comics from 2 years ago. Tommy is dressed as a foot solider.

#PowerMonth: Leonardo and Donatello Rangers

 

This August is #PowerMonth and reveals every day (supposedly). I will believe it when I see it on August 7, Saturday is my birthday so I am hoping for a woozy, but who knows, it's all coincidence. Today's reveal is Leonardo and Donatello of the Ninja Turtles as Rangers. This is from the comics crossover two years ago.

Retromorph Ninjor and Lightning Collection Pudgy Pig

Announced today Walmart will have an exclusive Retromorph Ninjor, based on the DX Ninjor (1995) reformated as a AutoMorphin figure. It is available for order now on Walmart.com.

Lightning Collection Pudgy Pig is a Hasbro PulseCon exclusive but fans (including me) aren't so happy about the cost. it comes with a lunch box.  $57.99 For me, Pudgy Pig is iconic but not worth that price tag. 

Fan First Friday: Wave 10 Lightning Collection/Dino Fury Reveals

The last Fan First Friday was Pink Ranger exclusive and had trivia, this time they had a lot to unload (mostly stuff we already heard). We already knew about the Reboks shoes which we knew about but showed neat details (like a broken green heart in the Pink Ranger shoe). Also Legacy Wars and a White Ranger car. As for Lightning Collection, the Eye Guy info was dropped a half hour before the live stream on Twitter with images. No Pink Spandex reported it on Instagram. As for the Wave 10, fans already deduced it from Australian listings last week.

John Green of Grnrngr.com says rumors swirled that Eye Guy was supposed to be revealed alongside Piranthishead. This one is even taller than King Sphinx.

The next clue for the next Lightning figure looks like a Ninjetti/Ninja Ranger.

The Dino Fury Zords were delayed because of COVID restrictions and Hasbro has numbered the zord boxes. T-Rex comes solo while blue and black come together and green and pink come together. I find it strange that they put the two girl zords together. As for Bandai, Bandai used to put any female figure along with a male figure. Speaking of lumping figures together, they revealed Gold and Void Knight are coming solo but for now, Amazon will have a special set with the 5 main Rangers including Black and Green. No news if Izzy and Javi will be coming solo. 

Here is the early prototypes for Gold's zord and the PteraFreeze Megazord (For those who don't follow Ryusoulger, there is a ranger-less Cyan-colored Pteranodon zord). Also, I like the Chromafury Sword and how it can detect colors from anywhere (except fabrics) but I still don't like the Keys. Could it be because of Covid or affordability? 

Power Rangers Dino Fury - Phoning Home - Episode Review

"Phoning Home"

Episode Summary:

Mucus makes a new general Slyther and updates the Ranger info from Boomtower. Void Knight puts the Sporix inside the robot and brings it to life. He becomes Void Knight and scares off Mucus, who wants to be best friends. Slyther tricks Mucus again. Void Knight tells him to steal Sporix from the Rangers. Zayto makes another call for Rafkon. Solon gives him an old Rafkon recipe but it turns out to be dog food he would give to his pet. Zayto thanks her for the idea. He sends the message. Slyther sees this. At Boom Blast, Ravi videos Jane revealing a collar that changes J-Borg into a cat. There is a girl with a German Shepard in the 'audience.' J-Borg dons cat ears and flees from the dog, who chases after her and they make a mess of the offices. Jane goes after them. The Rangers get called. They train with Zayto at Dinohenge. Lightning hits and a strange woman arrives. She says her name is Arla, a knight from Rafkon, she even has the antennae. Zayto is full of questions. 

Arla touches the Rangers and states who they are. She says technology has improved and can destroy the Sporix. They go in the base and Solon doesn't trust her. Arla says her ship is fast. Solon says her equipment hasn't detected the ship. Arla says her tech is outdated. Solon says Sporix can not be eliminated. Solon wants to read her mind but Zayto says he can trust her. Arla is sleepy and the Rangers take her to a chamber. Zayto and Solon talk, Solon says it is too good to be true. Arla changes back to Slyther and calls Void Knight. Void Knight attacks the city and the Rangers arrive and morph. They fight the Hengemen. Arla returns to base and Solon offers her food. She eats it and says she enjoys it. Solon calls her out that it is dog food and she should know. Slyther reveals himself and teleports Solon out. Solon and Slyther fight. He attacks her and knocks her down and takes her communicator. He becomes Arla and she teleports back to base. The Rangers defeat the Hengemen.

The Rangers circle around Void Knight and he teleports away. Arla puts the communicator on the table and the Rangers arrive. They ask for Solon and Arla says she went for a walk. The others leave to find her. Arla wants to take the Sporix to her ship. Zayto notices the communicator on the table. Arla asks him to open the vault and he does so but grabs her arm and finds out she is really Slyther. He transforms to his true form. They teleport out of the base. Zayto morphs. Zayto tells the others as he fights Slyther. The Rangers arrive and the Hengemen appear to and the two groups right. Red calls his Dino Key and does the T-Rex Fury Strike. He becomes Roostafa and grows a giant. Zayto calls the zords with his password: Zayto is cool. (Even though 'cool' is a modern version of the word) They call the Megazord Warrior Formation.

They use the reflection from the sun to blind him using the Slick Key. Roostafa falls. They attack him with 3 attacks. Jane looks for J0Borg. J-Borg comes up behind her. She hisses. Jane takes off the collar and she returns to normal. She coughs up a hairball. Roostafa flies. The Rangers destroy it in the air and Slyther lands on powerlines. Mucus arrives and Slyther has lost his memory. Mucus tells him that they are best friends. They teleport away. Zayto makes Solon Buttermint tea and the Rangers repair her. Zayto apologizes. Solon says she is proud of him. The Rangers think he will find his people. Zayto sends another message.

Episode Review:

I don't know why Zayto has to send a second message and the word 'cool' meant something else thousands of years ago. I did like the performance of the actress playing Arla, she reminds me of Katee Sakaoff. I wish she was a guest character more often but oh well. 

Power Rangers Dino Fury - Cut off - Episode Review

Episode Summary:

The Rangers go camping deep in a forest. Izzy says how Javi ate all the marshmallows. Ollie shows off his new tech like a walking stick, boots, binoculars, chainsaw, and jacket. The gang doesn't know what to make of it. Javi says it is a lot of tech, camping should be simple. Zayto gets in the tech hammock. Izzy says it is overkill. Zayto selects the rocking and it spins out of control. Ollie can't turn it off and it breaks and flips Zayto into a tree. He say he's fine but he will stay from tech. Ollie leaves in a huff. Mucus, Roostafa, Void Knight have a balloon, which has a disruptor that will block Ranger teleportation and tech. Izzy, Javi, and Zayto find the villains. The balloon doesn't reach the correct height yet. Mucus says to roast marshmallows but Javi says he ate them all. The Rangers morph and fight Hengemen. Izzy uses her Tiger Fury Strike. Javi uses his Stego Fury Strike.

Mucus lets the balloon go and it activates. The Rangers try to teleport but it doesn't work. Amelia tries her phone but there is no signal. The Rangers can't get to the city it is too far and can't teleport. Zayto wants to walk but Ollie has an idea from batteries in his boots to make a gadget to take down the balloon. The Rangers aren't sure so they leave without him. He stays to work on it. Ollie makes up an arrow from his walking stick and a battery. Meanwhile, a Sporix arrives when J-Borg and Jean are by a fountain. Mucus gives the Sporix to Void Knight. J-Borg and Jane find the Pay Phone but it doesn't work either. The other Rangers find themselves with Ollie again as they went in a circle. Ollie throws the Hyper Arrow but it fizzles. The Rangers apologize for not trusting him and that his arrow has a chance. He wants a crossbow so has the siblings cut wood. Ollie and Zayto make the crossbow and Zayto gets the bowstring. They hook the arrow to the crossbow to shoot the balloon. Amelia says Ollie is adorable. They destroy the balloon. 

Solon is happy to hear from them and says the hotline is flooded. The Rangers teleport to him. Hengemen are sent and the Rangers morph. Mucus leaves. The Rangers fight the Hengemen, Void Knight, and Roostfa. Rangers use a Boost Key each. Roostafa becomes huge. T-Rex, Tricera and ANkylo are sent and become the Dino Fury Megazord. The Rangers teleport inside while the Siblings fight Void Knight. Roostafa flies and they change to FOrtress formaiton which protects them. Javi uses the Flare Dino Key and Izzy uses the Muscle Dino Key against Void Knight. Void Knight pretends he has been beaten and says he was kidding and teleports away. The other two zords are sent and they fight against Roostafa. The siblings enter the cockpit and they make the Megazord Warrior Formation (5 zords). Zayto calls the Megafury Saber. They do the Dino Mega Slash and destroy it.

Mucus looks for the SPorix but the Rangers get it before her. Void enter the Sporix he got into the machine. Mucus asks if it is enough. He says they have to stop the Rangers first. Back at the forest, they ask Ollie if he brought everthring. He shows them jackets and the jackets can become Sleeping bags. Izzy presses the wrong button and calls the life raft button and falls into bushes. She first seems upset but is atually happy and wants then to try.

Review:
I am not sure how I feel about this ep. First it makes a good point of not relying on tech but then it makes a strong point for it, even though Ollie's devices are glitchy at best. I guess the point was to trust your friend even when you think they're wrong? I don't know... I did like the plot point of cutting the Rangers off from teleporting, I just wish the forest was more threcherous for them.
