Power Rangers: Non-Color Teammate Names (2019)

I did the Super Sentai version, here are the Power Rangers. I'm not counting Ninjor or Blue Senturion or any Ranger-like Allies that are like them.

Phantom Ranger

The first Sixth Ranger to not have a color in his/her name. In Super Sentai, his counterpart VRV Master was not a Ranger, no mecha (zord) nor personal weapon. 

Magna Defender

Magna Defender, himself, is considered a Rnager-like Ally but when Mike became him, the show and toyline treated him as a Sixth Ranger. 

Titanium Ranger

Titanium is a chemical element with the symbol Ti and atomic number 22. It is a lustrous transition metal with a silver color, low density, and high strength. He is basically a Silver Ranger. Boom Comics considers him this as he was included in the Silver Ranger cover they did a year ago.

Quantum Ranger

 Quantum distinctly is not a color. It is considered they picked this name not to be confused for Red. His Japanese counterpart as called Time Fire.

Lunar Wolf Ranger
While in Super Sentai, he was Gao Silver with the color in his name, Wild Force decided to call him "Lunar Wolf" instead of a color. My guess they did this because Quantum Ranger had a non-color name and wanted to keep that motif. 

Kat Ranger/Shadow Ranger/Omega Ranger

Shadow Ranger is hard to definiate if he's black or blue or what. So understandable they called him 'Shadow.' Omega Ranger, surprisingly, was not called 'White' but probably 'Omega' being that Omega means "the last." Omega Ranger's original name was DekaBreak. Kat Ranger is just named that because she is Kat, a feline. Her counterpart was Swan-inspired. My guess they did all this was because Dekaranger didn't use color names for their non-core Rangers.

Nova Ranger

"Nova" is a space thing, she was probably called that because it sounded cool. Her counterpart was "DekaBright."

Solaris Knight/Wolf Warrior

Even though treated as a Sixth Ranger both by Power Rangers and Super Sentai, fans don't consider him a 'Ranger' because of his name 'Knight.' Fans consider him a Ranger-like ally. I consider him a Ranger regardless. His counterpart was MagiShine. Wolf Warrior's Japanese counterpart was Wolzard Fire. He is considered a Ranger-like Ally. 

Mercury Ranger

His counterpart was Bouken Silver so he had a color name, but this guy was probably named Mercury because it was considered cool. My guess is because the last season the sixth rangers didn't have color names.

Robo Knight

After Operation Overdrive, all rangers went by colors or animals (in Jungle Fury). The only one during Saban era to not have a color name was Robo Knight, stylized after Gosei Knight. 

Graphite Ranger

"Graphite" is not a color. It is a crystalline allotropic form of carbon. In Japan, he was Kyoryu Gray. With all the unique color names like Aqua Ranger and Purple Ranger, Graphite Ranger is the only one that isn't a color. Gray Ranger doesn't sound as catchy either. He is also considered a Silver Ranger in Boom Comics. 

Final Robo/Megazord Colors

I'm not talking about the secondary Megazord like Super Zeo Megazord, Rescue Megazord (Turbo), and Omega Megazord (Lightspeed) that were multicolored. I'm talking about the last one which can be one color but not belonging to one particular Ranger (most of the time Red) or it could belong to one. Like it could be of 5 Rangers like MagiLegend/Manticore Megazord but one solid color. It could belong to one Ranger like Gigant Bragi-Oh or a power-up like MaxOhJa/Mezadon Megazord or Lion Ha-Oh.

 

MaxOhJa/Mezadon Megazord

In Abaranger and Dino Thunder, it was red and black. It belongs to power-up of Red: AbareMax and Triassic Ranger.

 

DekaWingRobo/Swat Megazord

Made of five zords for an upgrade, mostly black with some red, blue and silver.

 

MagiLegend/Manticore Megazord

Made up of Five Rangers and two 'Zords' but as mostly white.

 

DaiVoyager/BattleFleet Megazord

It was made of five zords but mostly navy color.

 

SaiDaiOh/Rhino Steel Megazord

Since GekiChopper is mostly white and red, the zord itself is navy and white, I am counting this one. It is the final zord.

 

Kyouretsu-O/Paleomax Megazord

Even though it is a tri-colored zord, I am counting it since it only belongs to Red. It is mostly maroon (red) and black.

 

 

Mougyu Dai-Oh/BullZord

Red and Black, belonging to Shinken Red and in Samurai, to the Shogun mode upgrade.

 

Gosei Ultimate/Ultimate Megazord

Belonging to the upgrade of all five rangers. All silver.

 

LionOh (Go-Busters)

Belonging to all the Rangers, it was indigo and gold.

 

 

Gigant Bragi-Oh/____Charge Megazord

I don't know the Dino Charge name yet. The robo is mostly silver but with some gold, red and black It belongs to the Silver Ranger. But I consider it a final megazord and since most likely we will see all the Rangers in it.

 

Hyper Ressha TeiOh

Gold and black robo with some red belonging to the Rangers.

 

Lion Ha Oh

 Red and gold robo belonging to the upgrade of Red, even though it isn't really the last one and I know you were thinking I should add OhBlocker.

 

As you can see for the final robo design color, Toei/Bandai/Plex decided with red four times, silver three times, twice or thrice a blue hue, only once white and once gold. Red and Silver seem to be the go-to colors.

No show had reached higher than Mighty Morphin (4.3 Million) even though Lost Galaxy's wiki says it was but I couldn't find the numbers. Ninja Storm and Wild Force had over 6.40 share on ABC Family. Samurai had the highest viewers on Nickelodeon than any other Saban Brands series so far with 2.936 million viewers and 11.50 share. Samurai has a bigger share than the Disney seasons. Of the Disney seasons, Ninja Storm has higher share on ABC Family. Toon Disney actually had less share than ABC and ABC Family.

My theory is which every generation (MMPR Season One, Ninja Storm, and Samurai) there is going to be a popular season and then every season after that will have lower ratings and will be more or less popular. SPD and RPM is popular to fans but both have lower ratings. SPD is lower than Ninja Storm's ratings and RPM was lower than them all. Ninja Storm had higher ratings than Wild Force. I don't think New PR episodes on Nickelodeon will have higher ratings than Samurai. It's just like any season that came after MMPR. Plus the ratings I have for MMPR could be a accumulation of seasons and not just one season but it was the top rated series on Fox Kids.

So until the next 10 years or production change, it won't be high ratings. Granted, Ninja Storm's ratings weren't as high as Mighty Morphin but Samurai's were way higher than any of the Disney seasons. It is now rumored the 2017 season will be Netflix, ratings will be different because it isn't on TV but it would be graded by viewings which is completely different. Also, Nickelodeon's ratings could be higher if it didn't have rating dip of the 5 month hiatus it usually has for Power Rangers. But Nickelodeon giving Power Rangers a higher episode count is doubtful at this point with only 1.3 million viewers when SpongeBob brings in more than that.

Toy Week: Training Sets

 

Since Halloween is upon us, I figured I'd cover the masks and training sets that were available for kids through the years. Japan has had masks for practically every Sentai but Power Rangers had it only for Halloween until SPD (2005).

Power Rangers SPD Academy Training Set

The first of the Training sets, with  Red mask, not show accurate with gold badge on helmet. Came with a hostler, belt buckle and two blasters.

 

Omega Ranger Academy Training Set

Omega Ranger got one too, not sure if Blue did. It came with belt buckle, hostler, one repainted blaster and Omega Morpher. Mask is more or less show accurate. 

Mystic Force Training Sets

 Red and Green sets, each came with masks, cape smock, ranger-color morphers and Magi Staffs. Red came with a generic buckle and Green came with a thunder bolt badge.

 

Solaris Knight Training Set

Solaris Knight mask (not show accurate), smock, buckle, morpher and repainted Mystic Staff.

 Titan Megazord Training Set

The Phoenix Titan came with a smock, mask, Titan Megazord sword, buckle and Solaris Knight buckle. The first set to be a zord.

 

Red Operation Overdrive Academy Training Set

Repainted SPD blaster, Red OO smock, mask, buckle and Overdrive Tracker.

 

Mercury Ranger Academy Training Set

Mercury Ranger mask, smock, morpher and buckle with repainted SPD blaster.

  

 Red Sentinel Ranger Training Set

Red Sentinel Ranger (Battlizer) mask, smock, morpher and badge with Red and Sentinel Knight. SPD Blaster was repainted again.

Red Tiger Training Set

Red Jungle Fury Ranger with mask, smock, nunchucks and buckle.

Blue Jaguar Training Set

Blue Jungle Fury Ranger with mask, smock (sigh) repainted nunchucks and buckle.

 Jungle Master Rhino Ranger Training Set

Rhino Ranger mask, smock, buckle and morpher/claw.

 Power Rangers RPM Red Ranger Rally Crew Set

Came with Red mask, morpher, sword, blaster, buckle and card.

 Power Rangers RPM Red Ranger Rally Crew Set

Came with Blue mask, blaster, blue individual weapon, yellow individual weapon, morpher, buckle and card.

  

Gold RPM Ranger Engine Crew Set

Came with Gold Ranger mask, Cloud Hatchet, Morpher, buckle and the other weapon. Gold Ranger did not get a Halloween costume.

 Mighty Morphin Red Ranger Training Set
Came with blaster, mask, sword, morpher and lord zedd prop back in 2010.

Red Ranger Training Gear

There was different versions of this, smaller to bigger, Toys R Us exclusive too. 

 Blue Ranger Training Gear

This one came with the Hydro Bow.

 Gold Samurai Ranger Training Gear

Came with all pictured, I think there was a simple one and deluxe one. 

 Red Megaforce Training Gear

A lot of versions of this, small, bigger and Toys R Us Exclusive.

Blue Ranger Training Gear

Strange it came with Ultra Mode on the box but nothing about it in the items.

Red Super Megaforce Training Set

Regular and Deluxe Toys R Us exclusive set. The Toys R Us exclusive set came with a glittery translucent key. Blue came with a simple set. They come with open visor masks, unlike the Halloween costumes.

 

Silver Super Megaforce Training Set

There is only the Toy R Us Exclusive set which comes with glittery translucent key and blaster mode of the trident. The morpher is the same version of the regular Silver Legendary Morpher.
