EPIC WIN! CARDS for McDonalds Power Rangers Megaforce Happy Meal!

I never never use the word 'Epic' or 'win' but I said it I said. Maybe not here but for sure on Twitter. I thought they would have exclusive trading cards with the toys at McDonalds. Some people are griping that Yellow and Pink don't have their own cards but I am happy that at least the girls are included in the team card. It reminds me when I showed the Samurai bookbag I got from Saban Brands because of Power Force to Alan Palmer, the Black Aquitar Ranger---he thought there was only 3 Rangers because they only had the boy ones. As much as I hate the gender binary (splitting into boys and girls only), their thinking is probably that a boy doesn't want a Pink Ranger or Yellow Ranger card. I think it is dumb they split most toys between boys and girls. But if a boy gets a Phoenix Zord or Tiger Zord, his incentive is the Megazord card or a card with Red in the forefront.

Phoenix Zord - Red Ranger Card
Shark Zord - Blue Ranger Card
Snake Zord - Black Ranger Card
Lion Zord - Robo Knight
Phoenix Zord - Megazord Card
Tiger Zord - Team Card

McDonalds: Power Rangers Megaforce 2013

Thanks to my buddy and fellow Power Force member MorphinLegacy who posted this on his blog. The picture is actually from blinddrummer15 of Rangerboard. The date has yet to be revealed but since last year it came at the end of August and the year before in September, this might be in August. Right now they got Despicable Me 2 and next is Smurfs 2 but maybe PR is after Smurfs 2. They toys are six Mechazords: Dragon, Phoenix, Shark, Snake, Tiger and Lion to form a Megazord. The Robo Knight's Lion takes the middle. I thought they would release exclusive cards but I guess they are not. The girl toy I have no idea what it is. It looks like its called Justice something and it is also something that comes in parts to combine.

McDonald's - Power Rangers Super Samurai

At the end of August, we are getting Power Rangers toys at McDonalds. We get 8 toys again, instead of a Megazord, we get Green Ranger. Finally we get Green Ranger again. And we get the Power Discs. My nephew will definitely want these. What I am interested in is the buckle and getting him the four Rangers.

Shark Sword with Power Discs, Black Box with Power Discs, Bull Bazooka, Super Mega Green Ranger, Mega Shark Attack Red Ranger, Super Mega Blue Ranger, Power Disc buckle, Mega Gold Ranger.

My Crazy Idea for Future Gokaiger McDonalds

In response to the quality of the McDonalds Toys of Power Rangers Samurai, I was thinking of an impossible idea. Impossible because it might not happen because of the quality and the amount of toys. They did recently have 16 Smurf toys. Recently they have toys split into girls and boys, 8 each. If Gokaiger gets adapted into Power Rangers, I don't think this would happen. I thought this would just be fun to do. I did the six Pirates and tried to do one key per team, which was hard. I also tried to make the keys simple as possible. Oh the thing is that they are key chains.

Top Left to Right: Red, Blue, Green, Silver, Yellow Mystic Ranger, (Red Ranger);
Bottom Left to Right: Gold Ranger, Black Space Ranger, Violet Wolf Ranger, White Dino Ranger,Titanium Ranger and Blue Turbo Ranger.

Top Left to Right: Pink, Yellow, Princess Red Samurai Ranger, White Wild Force, Yellow Galaxy Ranger, Pink OO Ranger.
Bottom Left to Right: Pink MMPR Ranger, Blue Wind Ranger, Ranger Silver, White Aquitar Ranger, Pink Time Force Ranger and Yellow SPD Ranger.

For the Titanium Ranger, I used a fan made key I didn't make. I wanted to use a Gold Ranger from RPM or Samurai, but I already had RPM Silver and female Red Samurai Ranger. Some key grooves are the real ones from the Deluxe or Gasphon Keys, some I reused from another one, so they aren't all accurate. Some I just pasted the logo on a key I changed the color to. For example, the Pink MMPR key, I used Miss America's Key.

Here are the ones I wanted to use but traded for other colors.

I just had fun doing this! Someone else made the logo, I did not.

Power Rangers Samurai McDonalds Toy Commercial

McDonalds commercial aired on Nick today, saying this Friday PRS was coming. It had the Rangers (three male Rangers in the cockpit of Battlewing) inside the Samurai Megazord and saying they were hungry. The blue dragon foot lands next to a speaker and the lady asks how they can help them, 15 sec commercial. The real actors' voices were not used.

Official Press Release:
POWER RANGERS MARK A COLLABORATION WITH McDONALD’S® THAT SPANS NEARLY TWO DECADES
LOS ANGELES (September 20, 2011) – Saban Brands announced today that the #1 kids action series Power Rangers Samurai is teaming up with McDonald’s to offer Power Rangers toys in Happy Meals at participating McDonald’s restaurants throughout North America. The relationship between these two iconic brands began in 1994 with a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Happy Meal. Over fifteen years later, today’s collaboration focuses on positive lifestyle choices, including fun fitness and balanced eating for America’s youth, and coincides with the roll-out of McDonald’s new Happy Meal, that now includes apple slices in every Happy Meal purchased.

“We are so proud of the long relationship between the Power Rangers and McDonald’s,” said Saban Brands president Elie Dekel. “It is a testament to the legacy of the Power Rangers that McDonald’s and this iconic franchise have sustained their collaboration long enough to introduce a new Power Rangers Happy Meal to a second generation.”

Power Rangers fans visiting participating North American McDonald’s restaurants between Friday, September 16 and Thursday, October 13 will receive one of eight limited edition toys inspired by the hit series Power Rangers Samurai, now airing on Nickelodeon, with the purchase of a Happy Meal or Mighty Kids Meal. This new promotion brings a mix of action figures and role-play items where kids can recreate high-action moves in the palms of their hands and inspire fun, active play.

McDonald’s new Happy Meal, which will begin to roll out in select McDonald’s locations across the U.S. this month, will include a smaller, 1.1-ounce portion of fries along with produce (apple slices, a quarter cup or half serving) with the choice of a hamburger, cheeseburger or Chicken McNuggets, and choice of beverage, including new fat-free chocolate milk and 1% low fat white milk.

In addition, this promotion coincides with the newest cycle of Power Rangers emPOWER, an initiative that inspires kids and families to put the Power Rangers values of teamwork, confidence, health and physical activity into action through programs at schools, online and at events in local communities. Another way is to encourage exercise and active play in and after school by using The Power Rangers emPOWER Activities. The emPOWER Activity Kit Sweepstakes is offering schools and youth organizations the chance to win a $10,000 donation and a visit from the Power Rangers and is available through November 11, 2011 on PowerRangers.com.

Power Rangers Samurai coming Mcdonalds Happy Meal

In a few weeks in September Power Rangers Samurai is finally coming to McDonalds. I expected this to happen. There is eight toys: Samurai Megazord, Gold Ranger, Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, Spin Disc, Fire Smasher Cannon Blast mode, Hydro Bow and a spinner thing. I have covered what toys there has been before in McDonalds (it sure has been a lot) and what I liked and didn't. The girl toy is iCarly. My niece and nephew (Jaiden) frequent McDonalds a lot. I even had a poll about it. STARTS SEPTEMBER 16, 2011

 UPDATED 9/19/11
I recently checked it out, and the Happy Meal box only has Red, Gold and Blue and has their names but lacks Mike (:(), who seems to be the fan favorite (with kids too). I got the Red Ranger spinner toy and it is quite detailed even though it lacks paint.

The following is my own creation:
Instead of iCarly, they should had made a girl version for PR. I would had the spinner be Yellow's weapon and have a cheaper version of the toy. And I couldn't think of a replacement for the Megazord. For the turtle on the spin disc sword, I use the turtle they have in the actual background of the picture. I also used the girl weapons from the Bandai America Mega Mode toys. The photoshop is badly done on purpose, for people not to think its real.

McDonald's Toys and Stuff

I have been wanting to cover how many times McDonalds have had toys of Power Rangers or even the other Saban shows. But it's hard to find pictures. I have some of these items but it will take some time to take good pictures of them.

1994
Power Rangers and VR Troopers "Power Coin Pack" Pogs
I was so excited when this came out. I remember passing by my local Mcdonalds at the gas station in front of it and seeing a poster of the White Ranger on the drive-thru wall. I got a pack and I remember I got the White Ranger and the Blue Ranger, I think I also got the Red Ranger and Goldar, but I lost them, so I don't got them anymore. I know I didn't get the VR Troopers. This was the closest thing to a VR Trooper/Power Ranger teamup. There were 13 in all: Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Blue Ranger, Black Ranger, Pink Ranger, White Ranger, Lord Zedd, Goldar, Ryan, JB, Katilin, and Jeb. These came out in 1994 but I don't remember what month, it for sure happened in the Fall/Autumn.

Summer 1995
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie
The most popular of the Power Ranger toys, the ones from the movie. In the regular Happy Meal, you could get a whistle signal (I still have it, its black and clunky), a communicator, a Power Buckle with the infamous Ninja Coins (but they were three and double-sided), and a blue whistle. If you paid for them, you could get a Ranger and their Ninja Zord. The Rangers were modeled after their Movie suits. I still have Red, Yellow, Black and Blue. I never got Pink (by the time I could, McDonalds no longer had them) but my cousin did get White. I couldn't find the commercial but I remember there were two. I think I remember one of a boy and his father being stopped by the White Ranger and his Falconzord.

UPDATED JULY 24, 2009
May 2000
Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue
When they came out, I actually tracked them all down and got them all except for the Red Ranger. This was awesome, they all came separately. There was the Rescue Zords, Rescue Rails, and Rangers, in all there was 16 toys: Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Blue Ranger, Green Ranger, Pink Ranger, Titanium Ranger, Red zord, Yellow zord, Blue zord, Green zord, Pink zord, Red rail, Yellow rail, Blue rail, Green rail, and Pink rail. The zords could fit in the rails. The Rangers came in humanoid zord-like cases that merged together to make one big Megazord. The Red or Titanium case could make the head, so I was fine without the Red one. The Yellow Ranger had a skirt, where in the show, she didn't have one because the yellow one was a guy in the original series Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive. I remember more or less where I got most of them. I remember the commercial too, which I couldn't find, it had all the six Rangers.

December 2003
Power Rangers Dino Thunder
These toys came out before Power Rangers Dino Thunder came out and I hated them. They were not possable and were akward. They were part of the Boys happy meals, while the Girls one was Disney Princesses. I only got the Black Ranger one. There was 8: Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Black Ranger, Tyranno, Tricera, Dimetrozord, and Celphazord. It is interesting they had the female Yellow Ranger, as it was the Boys Line, I am not complaining, I think it's cool.

December 2005
Power Rangers Generations
The last one and they were pretty cool that they mixed the generations. I still have the two pog launchers. In fact, I have two of the Blue ones. There were 6: Dino Thunder Red and Black Rangers, Mystice Force Green and Red Rangers, Mighty Morphin Red Ranger Pog Launcher and SPD Blue Ranger Pog Launcher. The commercial had the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger and Mystic Force Green Ranger. This was part of the Boys line, the Girls toys were W.I.T.C.H.

1995 or 1996?
VR Troopers
I don't know what year this came out, I didn't get these. There was 4: Virtualizer, the communciation device-- both which didn't have regular toys, a camera and virtual glasses. This had to be in season two of VR Troopers because it has a drawing of Ryan's second VR suit.

1997
Beetleborgs Metallix
I never got these either. There was 6: the Gold Chromium Borg, Titanium Silver Borg, Platinum Purple Borg, Thunder Stinger, and two Beetle Bonders. The borg heads opened but I don't know what was inside. I remember this commercial as well for some reason but couldn't find it online.

This was all in the United States, it varied internationally.
