Lavender Ranger's eerie guess to Kirame Silver

There is no clean image yet, just pictures of magazines but here is the sixth Kiramager--Kirame Silver.

Here is my guestimate from January, I thought he would be more silver but I did correctly guessed the weapon would have orange, blue and black. 

Kirame Silver is a young man named Crystallia Takamichi who travels the world hunting for treasure and recording his adventures in a special journal. Using the Shiny KirameChanger, Takamichi can monitor locations where treasure is found. Kirame Silvers’ weapon is the Shiny Breaker, which has multiple weapon configurations and can defeat foes using a Shining Beam attack. The Kiramagers’ will also face a new enemy know as the MonStone, a sentient KirameStone that can merge with humans to cause tremendous destruction.

Best/Worst Power Rangers Toy Lines

Hi! I had to change the polls (erase the old ones and add new ones) for the Best/Worst Bandai America Toy Ideas for PR because I notice some didn't get votes and add some that I had forgotten before like the Retrofire Megazords and Super Legends Chase figures.

I started a poll on the best and worst Power Ranger toy lines and it was suggested by fan Julian Lindo for me to do a retrospective on the toy lines. I have covered the toys as expensive as I can on Ranger Central.com. I will only touch on a coupe of things, like the parts on the polls, favorite toys and worst Bandai America idea.

8 inch Figures
The 8 inch Figures started with the 1993 MMPR toy line and it ended with Power Rangers in Space. More here.

Evil Space Aliens
The bad guys, started in 1993 season one toy line as 8 inchers. Then the smaller figures started in season 2. Figures of various monsters ended in Turbo. With In Space, they only made two villain figures. Until Wild Force and Ninja Storm and Operation Overdrive, they made three different villains. With Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder and SPD, they made re-paints of the footsoldiers.

For characters they don't know their names yet, they call them 'Evil Space Aliens'--this has happened to Broodwing, Hidac, Chiller, and Dai Shi. Monsters that have gotten the wrong name were Hammeron, Visceron, Captain Mutiny (Space Buccaneer), Barbarax (Space Android), and Camille (Melle).

Auto-Morphin Figures
They started out in season 2 of MMPR and ended in Turbo. They came back for Lost Galaxy, and Wild Force.

Girl Assortment
Dolls with cool helmet masks, started in season 2, they did plan for figures for Zeo but they never were made. The helmet masks continued with the 12" male figures, starting in Time Force.

Battlizers
Battlized Power Ranger figures started in 'In Space.' They were all different, they started looking awfully similar to 'Wild Force.' Ninja Storm, they were all the same exact design and have remained that way, all the way to Operation Overdrive. Battlizers have gotten different names in toy lines.

Black & Gold Megazord

Bandai America only made two-one for the 'dino' Megazord and one for the Galaxy Megazord. More here.

5.5" figures
They started out as diecast like the 8" ones in season 2 but they were PVC/plastic in Zeo and continued that way until RPM.

4 inch figures
It started out with Kamen Rider Dragon Knight and has continued into the 2010 MMPR line.

Vehicles
In almost every series from MMPR season 2 to Dino Thunders, girls got bikes. Most bikes were re-painted from Sentai counterparts. For example, the black Thunderbike (Season 2) was repainted green Kiber Machine from Dairanger (1993). The Season 3 Shark Cycles were re-painted Kakuranger (1994) Shark Machines--which were only Red, Yellow and Blue, they were repainted and duplicated to make Pink, White and Black cycles. For Lightspeed (1999), they repainted one Red Bike for the Rangers. The Yellow bike was in the series but not in toy form. They sold the sidecars separately. Time Force (2000) had original PR bikes, all 5 available in toy form. Wild Force (2002), 5 bikes inspired by the Wolf Roader from Gaoranger (2001)--the give were available in toy form too. Ninja Storm (2003) bikes were inspired/repainted by the Thunder Baris from Hurricanger (2002). SPD was the first series to not have bikes for girls.

Different Battlizers have different names, like this one from Dino Thunder.

Talking Figures
MMPR Season 3 started with talking figures, including Lord Zedd. They had different phrases. Continued with Silver Ranger, Wild Force to Operaiton Overdrive 12" figures. The 5.5" SPD figures, they talked but Pink and Yellow only made noises--no talking. None of the actual actors ever voiced any of these figures.

MorphMax Battlizers
Mystic Force, transformed figures into some kind of snake-like dragons.

Transforming Megazords
Bandai America had the brilliant idea to make even more Megazords and negate having the actual Megazords from the series! With this monstrosity (You can tell I hate it), they did not release the Flash Point Megazord. They planned to release more of their own in Jungle Fury but they didn't make them.

Auxiliary Trax Cycles
Well, the whole system. Up here is the RPM Formula Transporter. But from Jungle Fury, they could put togehter vehicles with zords and this continues with MMPR 2010.

Mix & Morph
In MMPR 2010, inspired by the Ben 10 Mix & Morph figures, you can dismember these figures to mix and match, making new figures.

Power Rangers Heroes
Re-releasing figures from past series. It started in 1998. This ended with Mystic Force in 2009.

6.5" Red Ranger Anniversary Figures
With the 15th anniversary, came these 6.5" Red Ranger figures but many fans complained that they were all of the same mold.

Retrofire Megazords
Started in 2009, there were High Octane, Mighty Morphin', and Wild Force Megazord, Titan, RPM Valvemax and Thundersaurus. They had planned SPD Delta Squad Megazord, Retrofire Zeo Megazord, Jungle Fury Jungle Pride Megazord, andMighty Morphin Dino Megazord, but the line was canceled.

Super Legends Chase Figures
In 2008, they released Green Ranger, Lord Zedd, White Ranger, Gold Zeo Ranger, Super Samurai Green Ranger, Green Samurai Ranger (with shield) and Titanium Ranger. They were planning to release Red Zeo Ranger and Pink Ranger but the line has been canceled.

Super Legends Extreme figures
These figures were released last year (2009) and no more figures like this have been released.

Repainting and Re-Packaging
The repaints and re-packaging began with SPD, where they put Dino Thunder toys with this playset. But repaints were common with Battlizers and weapons. But completely re-using toys from other series...

The 'Xtreme Dragon' from the Mystic Force line was actually from Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog Dragon (1998). This re-paint was fine but I didn't like the other repaints and abundance of repackaging.

Non-Sentai Rangers

The first female to ever get a 12" figure was Tori but she was hard to find. You can notice her helmet is 'battle damaged'--it was showed off in the ToyFare but it was never released (I think). So yeah the Blue Wind Ranger is the only one to get a 12" figure.

For the 16th season in 2008, Power Rangers Jungle Fury, there were only 3 main rangers at the start of the series. So the toy company Bandai America released 3 extra original Rangers that did not appear in the original Japanese series Juken Sentai Gekiranger that aired the year before.

The 3 Rangers later appeared in the series as the Spirit Rangers [Elephant Ranger (green), Shark Ranger (cyan) and Bat Ranger (black). They are based on the extra zords the Rangers had.

Last year 2009, for the 17th season Power Rangers RPM, even though there was 7 Rangers, Bandai America still released more Rangers, but they never appeared in the series. They are based on the last three zords the Ranger Red receives in the series called the PaleoMax Megazord. Fans have nicknamed these Rangers as the Dino Rangers as they are Mammoth Ranger (red), Triceratops Ranger (cyan), and T-Rex Ranger (Silver).

Anyhoo, fans had suspected Bandai would pull this again and make a Ranger out of the Carrier Zord Titanus but thankfully (or not, really), that has not happened. Either way would have been fine for me.

RPM---No Teamup, Battlizer nor New Rangers--get used to ti!

On YouTube, where I post the episodes of RPM, I keep reading comments like "I hope Tenaya is Ranger #6, there is a Ranger missing for #6, I hear there will be three new Rangers, when is the teamup?, where is Red Ranger's Battlizer?"

No Teamups
It is all about the budget. Disney barely wanted to make this season. The first Executive producer Eddie went over budget, and anyway, I don't think a teamup was in plans. This is the same reason there was no teamup for Mystic Force nor Jungle Fury--no money! Also some fans believe RPM is not in the same continuity as past seasons. The closest to a teamup is seeing a Jungle Karma Pizza chain inside Corinth. Besides, RPM doesn't really give room for a teamup since it is set in a post-apocalyptic future, it would take a whole episode to explain where all the other Rangers are. It's better they aren't mentioned.

No Battlizer
Again, Budget. Not going to happen, if it hasn't happen already, it won't. It hasn't been mentioned in the episode descriptions and they have been very accurate. There are four last episodes that have no description nor title revealed yet, but there hasn't ever been a Battlizer introduced in the last four episodes. Usually battlizers are revealed in Japanese scans, not in these pics.

No New Rangers
Triceratops, T-Rex, and Mammoth Rangers toys were made for RPM, they are based on Paleozord, the three zords recently premiered on the series. No mention of the three Rangers are on the episode summaries. It is highly unlikely they will appear. I recently found out from one of my sources, that Bandai America pay for Ranger-exclusive non-Sentai stuff like Battlizers and bikes and the Spirit Rangers. The Jungle Fury Spirit Rangers took the place of the Battlizer for Jungle Fury.

#6 and #9
There are no missing Rangers. Gator and Whale are un-manned, they don't need an operator. I am surprised RPM fans don't understand this. It's fun to make up Rangers but don't expect it on a show. If you didn't know, the zords spoke in Go-Onger and the Engines had their own personalities. #6 (Carrigator), #9 (Jumbow-hale), and the last three #10, #11, and #12 had no 'partner'/Ranger, they are special. It's the Engines who the numbers belong to, not to the Rangers.

No Auxiliary Trio of Rangers for RPM

Okay, a year ago when the extra three Rangers appeared in the Jungle Fury toy line, many fans wondered if they were just going to be toys or would they appear on the show since they are not from the original Japanese Super Sentai series. The Spirit Rangers did indeed appear on the show, Bandai America allotted the budget for them instead of the Red Ranger gaining a Battlizer. Now, these new Rangers are coming out soon... Triceratops, T-Rex, and Mammoth Rangers for RPM, they are based on the last three zords coming soon. Just like the last three, these Rangers have no Japanese counterpart.

But I don't think we are getting these Rangers because in the latest Japanese magazine that usually reveals new spoilers (last year they revealed the three Spirit Rangers), this time we got nothing new. I don't think it is happening because of the budget. I recently found that Bandai America chips in for the Battlizers and other props from money they get from sales, also according to the rate of 'hero shots' (how many times the item appears on the show). Yes, some fans say it could happen and the Japanese photographer was not there for when they shot the new Rangers and they could be keeping it ultra secret now, but I highly doubt it. In the pictures, we have Kireizky (a villain who appears in ep 42 of 50 episodes of Go-Onger) so meaning this is near-finale of RPM.

Also, there were thoughts that the Triceratops Ranger could have been female because there is no scheduled bike or armored figures for that Ranger and only male Rangers get that, but I think it is just the luck of the draw. They only can make so many toys.

Power Rangers/Super Sentai: Different shades of Colors

I thought I'd cover which are the colors used so far for auxiliary mecha (or in some cases, warriors) in Sentai. All of them have different shades in their subcategories as well. Many of the auxiliary mecha have debatable colors, is it cyan or aqua or green? I have had a long fascination with colors since I was a child, I had a Rainbow Brite birthday party when I was 5, the only 'girl' party my parents let me have. Power Ranger names are in italics. I guess this post isn't friendly to those who are color blind.

Orange

Gao Giraffe/Giraffe Zord was more like a carrot orange, Gao Jaguar of Gao God/(not given a name) is a pale light orange with tinges of amber color (Crayola's Atomic Tangerine). It is close to peach-orange or coral but it's not. Ankyloveilus/Ankylozord was a yellow-orange or Gamboge, GoGo Drill/Drill Driver was a plain orange, maybe like Home Depot orange, Carrigator/Croczord is a vivid strong shade of orange and Kabuto Origami of Shinkenger (2009) is almost like a orange-red-y color. There has been two heroes, with some orange in their outfit but not completely and they are DekaSwan/Kat Ranger (who had more orange, especially in arms and legs) and GekiChopper/Rhino Ranger (only had orange in trim). DekaSwan and GekiChopper were white, black, and orange. And the one that was completely orange was Battle Cossack from Battle Fever (1979), no other warrior has been completely orange since.

In Power Rangers S.P.D., Boom dreamed to be a ranger and had a fantasy and had a B-Squad uniform and a repainted Power Rangers Space helmet (Yellow) without black visor on top.


Different shades of Green
Gao Gorrilla/Green Gorilla was a regular green, Gao Ligator/Alligator was a dark green, but the toy was just a darker shade that Gorrilla. Gao Deer/Deer was a light paler green. Trance Spider/Spider Power Sphere was a basic green, the same shade as Shurikenger/Green Samuari Ranger. Parasarokkiru/Parazord was lime green. Rin Chameleon/Chameleon was a basic green. GoGoMixer/Cement Driver was like a JohnDeer Green. GekiElephant/Elephant sure does stand out with the other greens doesn't it? I really feel it is part of the teal/cyan ones but EVERYONE, many fans, say it is green. So I put it here to show it is not really that green. I believe it is a dark teal or dark Cerulean.
The Elephant Spirit Ranger from Jungle Fury is no where near the same shade of green as the GekiElephant/Elephant, it is closer to the shade of GoGoMixer/Cement Driver.

Periwinkle / Cyan / Teal
Gao Elephant/Elephant Zord, as I mentioned before was the first to be of this unique combination of the colors blue and green. This color is the most highly debated color, is it green or blue? Gao Elephant is teal or cerulean and Gao Rhino is Colombina Blue or a mix of maya blue with cerulean. Tortuise Hammer/Turtle Mace, one of the Karakuri Balls, was a Cornflower Blue. Dimenokodon/Dimetrozord was like a light teal, Go Go Shovel/Shovel Driver was cyan (brighter than periwinkle), Geki Shark/Shark Zord was aqua, K-Line/(not given a name in RPM) is light periwinkle, very pale, and Marlin Kaijiki (Shinkenger 2009) is a dark cyan, it is more blue than green.
The Shark Spirit Ranger from Jungle Fury is around the same shade as the zord, maybe a little brighter. Many agree it is cyan.


Indigo / Navy
Whatever people might call this color, purple or blue, it is a darker shade of blue. I would consider Squid Attacker/(no name given), GoGo Crane/Crane Driver, and GekiBat/Bat Zord indigo. Gorai Stag/Navy Beetlezord is of course Navy. Jumbo-whale/Whale Zord is Royal Blue, a light navy color if that makes sense. Carnoryutus (Abaranger 2003) is a interesting shade, like a pale Ultramarine and a bit grey-ier.

Kuwagata Raijer / Navy Thunder Ranger is the only warrior with a darker shade of blue than usual.

Purple / Violet
GaoHammer/Hammerhead Shark was the first purple anything in Sentai history, it was a vivid and perky shade of violet. GaoMajiro/Armadillo Zord was a lavender color, light violet. Kabuto Gani/Sting Blaster was a like a Royal Purple. Bakikeonagrus/Cephalazord is a mildly-dark violet with mixes of red or Electric Indigo. Geki Wolf/Wolf Zord was more of a purple than a violet. Violet is tangy, more pink-ish. GekiViolet/Wolf Ranger is that, he has different shades of purple. His suit a tangy violet like Gao Hamma, his boots and gloves are lavender like Gao Majiro, and helmet purple like the wolf zord. Wolzard/Wolf Knight was a purple like wolf zord. Wolkaizer is Wolzard, so I am not covering him. Update 3/11/10: Ika Origami of Shinkenger is white and lavender.

Non-Ranger White
These are auxilary zords that don't belong to White Rangers. Gao Polar/Polar Bear and Gao Panda were silverly-white. (Gao Panda only appeared as a toy and CD exclusive) Gattling Leo/Lion Laser was just plain white. Unikirion/Brightstar was plain white, maybe a bit pearl-y. T-Line/(not given a name in RPM) was like a silver-y or grey-ish white. Tora Origami is white and black.

Crimson / Maroon / Different shades of Red
The Gao Sawshark of Gao God/(not given a name) was a violet-tinged Maroon and so was Kishamoth/Paleozord. Gorai Beetle/Crimson Insectizord was Crimson. Stegsorideon or Stegazord was Burgundy. Stryacosaurus/Mezodon Rover was like a red-orange. The ones that were just plain red was Gao Kong, Gao Falcon/Falcon, The Stamp/Super Stamp, Pitashito Hitode/Star Blazer and GogoJet/Sonic Streaker. Kyoryu Origami is like a dark crimson and the Bull Ushi Origami of Shinkenger is a shade of red like Stryacosaurus. Update 3/11/10: Ushi Origami of Shinkenger is just red. Kyoryu Origami is a scarlet and maroonish color.

Kabuto Raijer / Crimson Thunder Ranger was a darker shade of red, and considered crimson in Power Rangers. Many fans clump him with Red Rangers and others consider him the closest thing to a male Pink Ranger.

Update 3/11/10: I will be posting a new post--update to this post with Shinkenger and Goseiger as soon as the Wind Brothers Set appears on the show and there is good enough pics. So sometime before May.
