Power Rangers Dino Fury - McScary Mansion - Episode Review

"McScary Mansion"

Amelia's grandfather Pop Pop is cleaning the McClary Mansion and thinks there is a ghost. He is spooked and leaves. Back at Buzz Blast, Javi and Aelia talk about how much she wants an assignment about ghosts and wants to prove Ollie wrong. Pop Pop arrives (he came to fix the AC at BuzzBlast) and tells Amelia what happens which gets her excited about going to the mansion. Javi warns her. She takes the keys that Pop Pop leaves behind by accident. She goes with her ray back inside the mansion. She finds a Sporix Beast. She wraps Amelia up. Amelia and the monster get out and the Rangers come to the rescue. Tombtress zaps Javi with a ray that makes him emotional and cries. They tell Javi to not get involved.

The Rangers fight Tombtress. Tombtress zaps Amelia and makes her angry. Tombtress and Mucus leave. The Rangers don't know what to do with Javi and Amelia, who are still affected by the ray. They return to BuzzBlast and Javi has calmed down but Amelia not so much. Pop Pop comes for the keys and Amelia doesn't have them, she tells him that the Rangers came to save her. She berates him since she is still under the ray influence. Pop Pop goes after the keys at the mansion. The Rangers talk and Javi gives Amelia the keys he found. At Area 62, Void Knight's assignment for Tombtress was to find something with immense power in the mansion. Mucus convinces him to send Tombtress to defeat the Rangers. Amelia as the Pink Ranger finds Pop Pop and he has found a Boost Key. He reveals that Amelia's parents were lost long ago and he promised to take care of her. She is toughed and has masked her voice. She then gets a call from the rangers.

The Rangers fight Tombtress and she makes Izzy super scared, Zayto super lazy and Ollie super happy. Amelia arrives with the key and dons Blazing Battle Armor and fights Tombtress. She becomes huge. Three Rangers are still moody. Amelia gets Zayto's key to call the T-Rex and it shows up but also Dimetro Blaing Zord appears. T-Rex Blazing Megazord is formed. The Rangers are transported in but three of the moody Rangers sit it out. Javi and Amelia fight. Megazord fights Tombtress. They destroy the Tombtress. Pop Pop fixes the AC at BuzzBlast. It seems to be too windy. Pop Pop says he has to make an adjustment. He apologizes to her. Jane goes in and it's too hot inside. Amelia apologizes and says she is thankful for him. They hug. He says her parents would be proud. Jane comes out of the freezing office. She challenges him to a snowball fight. 

Review:
It is truly awesome to see Pink Ranger in an armor which her counterpart did not don in Ryusoulger (the armor exists in Ryusoulger but Pink never wore it). Also, a great story connecting her grandfather and also giving backstory to as to why Amelia likes the paranormal, she believes something mysterious happened to her parents. Maybe she thinks she can find their ghosts? Also nice to have an episode with Jane solo and not with J-Borg. Not that I hate J-Borg but it is nice to see them apart. Also nice to see Javi and Amelia communicate in BuzzBlast which we don't see that often. The scene between Pink Ranger and PopPop is really touching even though one person is in costume. It all comes together with Pop Pop's performance, Amelia's voice acting, and the Suit actor's acting.

 

Fan First Friday June Reveals

Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures get revealed on Fan First Fridays, but yesterday June 11, 2021 they did a color-specific theme. For the first time, Pink Ranger theme. Fans were hoping for Jen the Pink Time Force Ranger and any other Pink Ranger after 1997. Some reveals were a bit underwhelming. 

Pink Ranger Helmet and Pink Ranger Morpher
I will be getting the helmet for sure and it seems Razzle knows. The Morpher has been done before by Bandai America, I would have done Black or Yellow Ranger. 

Katherine Set
Two Katherine heads and MM Pink and Zeo Pink with PC figure. I would get it just for PC. Some people said why not Turbo Pink but I guess they just want to finish the current teams (MMPR, Zeo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Time Force, Dino Thunder, SPD, Dino Charge, Beast Morphers) before starting new ones. 

Cel Shaded
The thinking behind this would be to look like it is from a comic book. I didn't really like this reveal. When they said Pink Ranger-themed, people thought all Pink Rangers but apparently only Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger. 

Ecliptor/Astronema Set

This was not revealed on Fan First Friday but today by @whenaiyy and No Pink Spandex, there will be an Ecliptor/Astronema set. This was seen at China Wonder Fest. The difference with Astronema a new sculpt of purple hair, as the original had indigo/blue hair. Also, I don't like how on Fan First Friday, they mentioned Kendrix and Cassie and Kendrix's death and didn't reveal a set. 

Power Rangers Dino Fury Episodes 9-11 to premiere on Netflix US

Power Rangers on Twitter announced on May 26 that episodes 1-11 of Power Rangers Dino Fury would premiere June 15th in Netflix in the US, UK, ANZ and Canada. It has been confirmed by Power Rangers Command Power Hour (https://twitter.com/RangerCommandPH) through their Hasbro source that it is true that episodes 9-11 will premiere. Episodes 1-8 have aired in the United States on Nickelodeon. Usually new episodes are released internationally before they do in the United States. This is the first time new episodes stream on Netflix in the US before they air on Nickelodeon US. I am not sure about the UK and Canada. This does not surprise me as it has already been leaked that season 2 will exclusively stream on Netflix and no longer be on Nickelodeon in 2022.

There have been 3 villainesses and only Yellow and Pink Rangers [Technically 2 evil pink, 1 evil yellow, and 1 evil red ranger.] For the record, there is 1 more Red Ranger (Lauren/Samurai), 1 Black Ranger (Hyperforce), 1 Green Ranger (Izzy/Dino Fury), 3 Blue Rangers (Mystic Force, Ninja Storm, Omega), 5 White Rangers (Alien, Wild Force, SPD, Mystic Force, and Ninja Steel) and 2 Silver Rangers (RPM and SPD).

Revealed Friday 5/14/21 on Fan First Friday. Andros was a surprise. I like the A-Squad Rangers. I especially love Scorpina but perplexed by another Aisha. I guess it's better than another Red Ranger.

Power Rangers Dino Fury - Unexpected Guest - Episode Review

Episode Summary: 

The Rangers fight a monster with their Megazord. They defeat it but Void Knight, Mucus, and Wolfbane arrive. Wolfbane growls and takes apart the Megazord. The Rangers get out of the zords and a bird bothers them. The bird turns out to be Mick Kanic from Ninja Steel. He is looking for the Nexus Star but Zayto says they don't know him and they are busy. Later, Javi and Amelia are at Buzzblast when Mick disguises as a package. He appears and surprises Javi and Amelia. J-Borg tells Mick to leave and he becomes a basketball. Then they hear an attack and go outside. Wolfbane attacks Mick. 

Mick becomes a toy car ad Wolfbane goes after him. The others arrive. Zayto finds out Void Knight wants the prism now as well. The five morph. They fight with Wolfbane. Green uses Muscle Dino Key and Pink uses Elasto Dino Key. Wolfbane takes apart the Boost Sleeves with his howl. Mick hides. They all teleport him away. Mick shows the Legendary Ranger Database in his base and asks Solon if he can plug it in. He shows them the nexus Prism. It has a direct connection to the Morphin Grid. Zayto says protecting it is their first priority now. Mick says there has to be a way to stop the howl. Zayto tells him Solon can help him, it is not safe for him outside. They find the Prism could be at the Waterfront. The five leave. Mick and Solon work on the howl.

Void Knight berates Wolfbane. Boomtower says he'll do it. The Rangers arrive where the Nexus is and pretty music plays. Zayto tries reading its mind and his antennae comes out. The nexus stops spinning. He sees the Morphin Masters with stones. They used the grid to power teams of Rangers. They made the Prism. Green and Red sent the Prism to fight evil. It found itself on Earth and gave the Ninja Steel Rangers their powers. It vanished. Morphin Masters have been observing teams including Beast Morphers and them. Prism was sent on a new mission, it is searching for something. Boomtower and Wolfbane arrive. The Prism flies into the sea. The Rangers morph and get knocked down. They then fight. 

Mick arrives and gives Wolfbane a 'treat' which makes his voice squeaky, it is a no howl drop. Wolfbane and Boomtower grow. The Rangers call the Zords and Mick leaves. The Rangers form the Megazord Warrior Formation with all 5 zords. They fight Boomtower and use their attacks. Boomtower goes down. Wolfbane jumps on top of the Megazord. It is destroyed. Mucus gets the Sporix. Boomtower powers up and does his signature attack. Megazord jumps up and counterattacks. They use the Mega Fury Saber and the other forms appear and make a Mega Slash. Boomtower is destroyed. Mucus goes for the Sporix but Izzy catches it. She almost gets Mucus but Mucus leaves. The Prism flies away. Mucus gives Void Knight the Sporix. He puts it in a device. It powers up but he needs more. Void Knight is impatient and goes to his secret room. He tells someone inside to forgive him. It is a beautiful woman, giving Mr. Freeze vibes. He calls her his love. Izzy says she is starving. They eat candies. Solon and Mick arrive and ask what happen to the drops. The Rangers have funny animal voices because of the failed drops. Solon roars and they return to normal. Zayto learns a lesson. Mick says he'll open a steakhouse and Izzy asks if Rangers eat for free. He says maybe a discount.

Episode Review:

Zayto dimissing Mick seemed a bit out of character and unneccessary. As for the Morphin Masters creating the Nexus Prism, there is no surprise there, but it strange to add something from a past season with a 'mystery' plot without much else to go on. Also
