Christmas in Super Sentai (1993 to now)

Even though Japan is a Buddhist country, Christmas has no religious meaning. What they did was import only the fun parts. Christmas in Japan has also developed into a romantic holiday for couples, a sort of Valentine's Day in December. Christmas cake, traditionally eaten on Christmas Eve, is simply a sponge cake, frosted with whipped cream and decorated with strawberries. Apparently Santa Claus lives on an island instead of the North Pole. I am only covering the series from 1993 to now. It's funny how Super Sentai has had more Christmas episodes than Power Rangers and it is not because Super Sentai is older, even within the years that were adapted into Power Rangers, Power Rangers have not adapted the Sentai Christmas episodes.

Gosei Sentai Dairanger (1993)
At the end of Episode 44 of Dairanger, it is Christmas but it is not the main focus of the episode. The episode is about Kou, his mother and his twin Akomaru. Kou saves his mom but she dies alongside Akomaru. At the end of episode, Lin sees a mother with two sons and imagines it is Kou and his family, a 'what if' situation. She then shares a Christmas dinner with Kou.

Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (1994)
All the Kakuranger dress up like Santa Claus, rush into Santa land in an attempt to save Christmas.

Gekisou Sentai Carranger (1996)
Not only there was a Christmas episode [episode 43], but also a Christmas song and album.

Denji Sentai Megaranger (1997)
"We Won't Lose! The Decisive Battle is on Christmas Eve" Episode 43, Dr. Hinelar manages to put NejiRed. Miko went Christmas shopping, she couldn't speak--much like Cassie in Power Rangers in Space.

Kyukyu Sentai GoGo Five (1999)
Matsuri buys a Christmas cake but wants Happy Birthday on it for herself, since her birthday is December 21st.

Mirai Sentai Timeranger (2000)
Christmas lasted about 3 episodes. In Episode 42, the Timeranger make a Christmas tree. At the end of the episode, Captain Ryuga comes in. In Episode 44, Tatsuya is made president of the company in place of his dad when he is sick and comes back to the old hangout to find the tree.

Hyaku Sentai Gaoranger (2001)
In a Christmas episode, he was the Suffering Org that disguise as a Christmas Org giving out presents, fool kids to turn children into a drink for Rasetsu.
This episode was not used for Wild Force.

Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger (2003)
Reindeiasanta infect Mai and little kids with his virus to make them into Barmia Hai [Triptoids] on Christmas. Asuka save the day.

Mahou Sentai Magiranger (2005)
Episodes 41 and 42, the Ozu family had a traditional play they would do and dressed up as many American characters like reindeer, angel, Santa, snowmen, etc. Kai and Hikaru helped a friend make Christmas cake for her family's store. At the end, they made Hikaru dress like a Christmas tree. Smoky's head was translated on a Snowman doll. This is the episode where Snowjel 'fired' Hikaru and told him to follow Kai.

GoGo Sentai Boukenger (2006)
The whole SGS organization was decking the hall, with a Christmas tree. Akashi encountered Eve, who claimed to be Santa. The villain used a Precious named Golem against the good guys. The episode dealt with believing.

Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger (2007)
This was the infamous episode where little white boy who had subtitles and Ken helped---he didn't like Christmas because his mom died in a car accident during then. Through this episode, we learned that Ken has lost his mother at a young age. Ken made a cool Christmas Tree attack that was edited for the episode "Meryl and the Monkeys" of Jungle Fury. He made an ice statue of the little boy's mom with SaiDain. Mele was more concerned about the love side of the holiday (as it is like Valentine's Day in Japan) and wanted a present for Rio.

Engine Sentai Go-Onger (2008)
Kireizuki destroyed Christmas, ruining the tree of the Go-Onger. Santa Claus actually existed in this episode (he was actually an old Japanese man), the Go-Onger helped him. Santa gave them the presents they always wanted and never got them.

I will updating this with the Shinkenger episode.
