Well, there is finally a title to the 2009 Power Rangers and it is called Power Rangers RPM. So far there has been pictures of the red and blue ranger, called Eagle Ranger and Lion Ranger. In Go-Onger, the red Engine is half condor and half racecar. It has been changed to Eagle, it is unclear if this will be kept for the series. Like all the other logos before it, this logo is better than the fan-made logos, it of course has a tire like the Go-Onger logo but doesn't use all the same colors.Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Mommy! I want a Power Ranger Cake
Parents usually have big problems distinguishing one Power Ranger from another. They just see colors, boots and visors. So when their children ask for a birthday cake, interesting thing come up.
Some put the toys on the cake. [This is the Power Rangers in Space]
Some put the toys on the cake. [This is the Power Rangers in Space]
Some actually attempt to draw them, this one is really accurate. [SPD Blue]
Some get it really wrong.
This one is pretty accurate and ambitious. [MMPR]
This one is awesome! [Turbo]
Some get really strange. Why are these guys sitting down like they are having tea?
And these guys are kneeling. [MMPR?]
Some give up and put a photograph on top. [Dino Thunder]
There was this mold made back in the day of MMPR, they stop making these molds.
And it doesn't stop some people to make some updates. [SPD]
This one is good. At least it includes the whole team. [SPD]Saturday, September 6, 2008
Bat Ranger Halloween Costume??!!!
I go to the Disney store online website and I am surprised to find to my surprise a Bat Ranger mask and not only that...
A costume! I was hoping the Disney Store would make a Wolf Ranger costume like the Yellow Wind Ranger, but purple has been shafted. I had a feeling they would do a Spirit Ranger, I was hoping they wouldn't pick one, in place of the Wolf Ranger. If they did the Wolf Ranger and Bat Ranger, I'd been fine. Halloween is a month away, so I am hoping they surprise me. For SPD, they did two exclusives: pink and shadow. For Mystic Force, they did blue. But, who knows. This costume is $39.50 and the mask is $9.50, which is an outrage because the regular Halloween costumes are a little cheaper. The regular you can get for $20 and the muscle costumes at $36 with mask. Funny enough the costume doesn't look like the toy or the suit on the show, it is in opposite color. Maybe the cost is in that it is... did I forget to mention the costume is 'Glow in the Dark'???!The reason I believe the Bat Ranger was selected was because he is the one in most of the PRJF clothes at Disney. If it is glow in the dark, it would make more sense if the majority was in white like the one on the show. I guess there wasn't much communication between one company to another ad that is the majority of the problem of what happens with Power Ranger merchandise. Also, some little voice in me is telling me the reason it is majorly black is because of Batman.. maybe they wanted a combo to sell into the popularity of Batman.

What Would a Power Rangers attraction look like?
Since 2005, Power Rangers have been part of Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade at the Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando. This has been very popular with kids. There is always long lines and according to people that have gone, at best your kid can see up 4 of the seven rangers that are there, if you are lucky and get there early. I have covered this before, but I am wondering if they are ever going to make a bigger attraction. There was a rumor that they wanted to use the building for Who Wants to Be A Millionaire but fans of the attractions were against it. Disney fans don't like the Power Rangers, one idiot called it "Voltron wannabe" without knowing Super Sentai came out before Voltron. Anyhoo, I think what would work would be something similar to what they do in Japan.
In Japan, mostly all around the year they have a stageshow at Tokyo Dome City with the current team. The stageshow entails a story, pyrotechnics, and suit work. When the yearly series ends, they have the real cast (Gekiranger cast above with Go-onger behind them) on stage one day only as a farewell. At the convention expositions, they have a stageshow with past Sentai heroes, even other Toei tokusatsu heroes. I think since the Disney theme park Power Rangers perform anyway, well for a short time, the Japanese stage shows usually last thirty minutes or so. The old Ninja Turtle stageshow at the old MGM Studios park was about ten minutes long.

They do in fact have the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie Red Ranger suit in the Planet Hollywood Store on Sunset Boulevard. I heard they also have the Yellow Ranger suit.
While the villain's costume from the movie, Ivan Oooze, at Planet Hollywood restaurant in Downtown Disney. I am surprised it is there. It is not a great pic but some sort of proof.
The other closest thing to have a 'history hall' for Power Rangers is the helmets at Power Rangers Bandai tour they had recently to promote the Operation Overdrive Mission Helmet.
This is the current map of Disney Hollywood Studios. Click on the image, the red line in the middle is the parade route of the Stars and Motor Cars parade. Number 6 in the yellow area is where the Muppets are, behind it is where the Ninja Turtles used to be. Number 10 in the purple area is where the Millionaire attraction used to be, now it is the Prince Caspian attraction. This is Disney World, the Power Rangers have yet to appear in Disneyland.Yesterdayland

My Theories for the 2009 Power Rangers toy line
Many people are calling it Power Rangers R.P.M., but we still don't know if that is the official name for the 2009 series. Here are my theories of how the toy line will play out, people might say you don't need theories because it will be a horde of different boy-oriented toys, repaints, new smaller molds of the zords with little paint and addition of new stranger zords that won't be on the show.
As for the action figures, many are jesting we will get a redux of the Spirit Rangers with Engine 6 Carrigator and Engine 9 Jumbow-hale. I doubt it because there will be 7 Rangers, but 9 wouldn't be that bad, since now we have 8 Jungle Fury Rangers and Dai Shi was included in one part of the 'Morphin' line like Koragg was in Mystic Force. I think the first batch will be the five rangers and a henchman. The second might be Gold, Silver and some kind of special addition to main five (since they don't have upgrades like SPD, Mystic Force, Overdrive or Jungle). As for the villains, dunno if any of them will be toys, maybe the gold leader.
There is a awful lots of weapons, 'morphers' and 'soul chips,' for sure we won't get all the soul chips because we never get everything and maybe one weapon will get skipped but mostly likely we will be getting a lower form of the morphers. The Go-Onger soul chips actually talk and have different phrases, doubt we will get that.
For some reason, I don't think we will be getting two Yellow Rangers. I don't why I think this. But we have gotten two before with no upgrade, like in Dino Thunder. Mostly likely we will be only getting one Silver Ranger, since she is female but definitely lots of Red, Blue, Black, Green and when he appears, Gold in different armor and such. I am even thinking we might get no Silver, because we got no White in Mystic Force because stores believed it wouldn't sell. But we did get the first female villain in a long time.. Camille, but she was sold limited and I no longer see her in stores. So most likely Silver will be sold the same way. Definitely we won't get a Silver Ranger Halloween costume.
